Chapter 169: Chapter 169
SLASH SLASH SLASH SLASH
BOOOOM!
Ali and the Jedi clashed relentlessly, their lightsabers igniting the battlefield with bursts of sparks and light. Every strike carried deadly intent as the two warriors moved across the chaotic terrain, their duel drawing the attention of everyone nearby.
Soldiers, Jedi, and Sith alike paused to watch, mesmerised by the ferocity of the fight. It felt as though the outcome of their battle would decide the fate of the war.
Ali swung his cross-guard lightsaber downward with immense strength, both of his hands glowing with black veins that pulsed unnaturally.
The Jedi Master raised his blue lightsaber just in time, deflecting the devastating strike. With a quick counter, the Jedi kicked forward, aiming for Ali's chest, but Ali spun mid-movement, evading the kick and retaliating with a powerful spinning kick of his own.
The Jedi grunted, forced to call upon the Force to shield himself as Ali's strike hit with bone-crushing force, sending him sliding back across the ground.
Ali's feet dug into the dirt as he regained his footing. Without hesitation, he lunged back at the Jedi, closing the gap between them in an instant.
The sound of their lightsabers clashing reverberated across the battlefield, the sparks from their blows illuminating the darkened terrain. The Jedi, despite his skill, found himself on the defensive, struggling under the unrelenting onslaught of Ali's attacks.
The Sith's strikes were fluid and precise, each swing designed to kill.
Then, both combatants extended their hands at the same moment, unleashing powerful Force Pushes that collided mid-air.
The shockwave threw debris and soldiers aside as the sheer power of their clash spread outward. Ali came out worse, his body skidding across the ground from the force of the Jedi's push.
Ali gritted his teeth as he slowly stood. The Jedi's mastery of the Force was undeniable, but Ali's thirst for battle only got stronger. The two began to circle each other, each step slow , neither willing to show weakness.
Ali reached to his side, summoning a second lightsaber into his left hand. Now dual-wielding, he spun both blades expertly in his hands, the crimson energy forming a blur of deadly arcs.
The Jedi watched carefully as Ali suddenly disappeared from sight.
Ali reappeared below the Jedi, both lightsabers swinging upward in a scissor-like motion aimed at the Jedi's torso. Reacting in time, the Jedi leapt backward, slamming his foot into the ground and summoning the Force.
A massive chunk of rock erupted from the earth, slamming into Ali with tremendous force.
BOOOOOOOM!
The rock shattered into countless pieces, the fragments scattering like shrapnel. But before the dust settled, Ali burst through the cloud of debris, using the destruction as cover.
He closed in on the Jedi's weak side, but by the time the Jedi reacted, Ali had already shifted again, appearing at his other flank.
"Got you," both thought simultaneously, their weapons swinging with lethal precision toward the openings they saw.
BANG!
SLASH!
The battlefield froze momentarily as the two combatants clashed in a single devastating exchange. Those watching held their breath, their eyes locked on the outcome.
Ali's lightsabers, controlled with precise telekinesis, flew up in time to intercept the Jedi's strike, attempting to block the blue lightsaber with perfect timing. At the same moment, Ali punched forward with his full strength, the Force amplifying his blow.
The Jedi grunted as the punch connected with his stomach, landing exactly where Ali had struck earlier. The impact sent a shockwave rippling through his body, forcing him to skid across the ground for several meters before he regained his footing.
As the Jedi steadied himself, the Sith and Jedi around them gasped. Ali's mask had split cleanly in two during the exchange, the broken halves falling to the ground with a dull clink.
But the face beneath the mask was no longer the handsome visage Ali once had. His nose was gone, and a deep, scorched red line ran down his face from his forehead to his chin, splitting it in two.
Blood seeped from the wound, and Ali raised his hand to press against his face, holding the fractured flesh together.
Through his bloodied fingers, his eyes locked onto the Jedi. There was no pain in his gaze...
The Jedi looked down at himself, his chest rising and falling heavily. His torn robes revealed a deep red imprint of Ali's fist, bruised and raw on the right side of his stomach. He coughed, blood trickling from the corners of his mouth, but his resolve remained unbroken.
The Jedi spat blood to the side and straightened, his eyes sharpening as the Force swirled around him. The air itself seemed to hum and vibrate with his power, the ground beneath him splitting as cracks radiated outward.
Ali lowered his hand from his face, and everyone watching recoiled in shock. The damage inflicted by the Jedi was completely gone. Ali's face had healed in mere seconds, his skin once again flawless.
With deliberate movements, Ali reached up and ripped away the torn fabric covering his arms. His muscular frame was exposed, and black veins slithered from his chest to his arms, crawling down to his fingertips like living tendrils.
He closed his left eye briefly before opening it again, slowly. When it reopened, black veins crept up the left side of his face, converging around his left eye.
That eye was no longer human. It was a solid, inky black, devoid of an iris or sclera, radiating an unnatural darkness.
"What monster have the Sith created?" the Jedi muttered, stepping forward as the ground cracked beneath him.
Ali's lightsabers hovered behind him, his cross-guard blade gripped tightly in his right hand. Its tip dragged along the ground, leaving behind a glowing trail as he stepped forward to meet his opponent.
The Jedi squared his shoulders, his blue blade at the ready. "A monster like you, created from the Sith's wicked experiments…" he declared, his voice resolute. "I shall rid the galaxy of this creation."
In an instant, the Jedi disappeared, leaving behind a crater where he had stood.
He reappeared beside Ali, his lightsaber slashing toward the Sith's left side. Ali's body tensed as he felt a crushing pressure descend upon him—a technique similar to Drogath's.
Black veins pulsed across Ali's body, reinforcing him against the weight. With a sharp movement, he swung his cross-guard lightsaber upward.
BANG!
The Jedi's eyes widened in shock as his blue blade was deflected perfectly, the force of the block leaving him wide open.
Ali wasted no time. He drove his foot into the Jedi's bruised stomach, landing another devastating strike that sent the Jedi hurtling backward.
He rolled across the battlefield for nearly twenty meters before coming to a stop, clutching his side as even more damage was done to his internal organs.
The Jedi forced himself to stand, his teeth clenched against the pain. 'How… How did he move even faster under my Force pressure?' he thought, bewildered.
Far across the battlefield, Drogath stood surrounded by seven Jedi Knights, their lightsabers ignited as they closed in on him.
The massive Sith warrior remained still for a moment, his black armour shimmering ominously in the chaos.
Without warning, the armour's crimson highlights flared to life, pulsating like molten veins, and the pressure around him shifted dramatically.
The Jedi felt it immediately—an oppressive weight descended upon them, forcing them to their knees.
The ground beneath them cracked as they struggled against the overwhelming force pressing down on their bodies.
Drogath turned slowly, his towering figure exuding menace as he regarded the four Jedi closest to him. He stretched his massive arms outward, his gauntlets glowing faintly as energy gathered between his hands.
The Jedi's eyes widened in panic as they realised what was coming.
BANG!
Drogath clapped his hands together with devastating force, the impact releasing a shockwave that obliterated the Jedi in front of him. The four warriors exploded into a spray of blood and gore, their bodies reduced to unrecognisable chunks.
The remaining three Jedi gritted their teeth, drawing deeply from the Force to resist the crushing pressure. Fear flickered in their eyes, but they steeled themselves, they had to do something or they would meet the same fate.
Drogath turned to face them, his expression unreadable behind his black helmet. He stepped forward, his battle axe dragging behind him and leaving a glowing scar in the earth.
Elsewhere, the battle wasn't faring as well for the Sith army.
Malgrith, was engaged in a brutal duel with three Jedi Masters. They moved in perfect synchronisation, their triangle formation forcing him to constantly adjust his stance and waste energy.
One Jedi would launch an attack while the others flanked, their strikes designed to exploit any opening.
Malgrith snarled, his red lightsaber flashing as he deflected a strike aimed at his head. He pivoted, narrowly avoiding another blade, but the third Jedi's strike grazed his arm, leaving a smoking burn on his armour.
The Sith apprentices and warriors around him fared no better. The Jedi Knights, bolstered by their superior numbers, cut through the Sith forces with ruthless efficiency. The apprentices were outmatched, their lack of experience showing as they fell one by one.
Natalya, leading a small group of water guild members, struck down a Sith apprentice with a clean swing of her blue lightsaber. She turned quickly, spotting a Sith warrior battling four of her guild-mates.
Raising her hand, she used her guild's water spell. A streak of shimmering water shot from her palm, slithering through the air like a serpent before finding its target. The liquid entered the Sith's mouth and nostrils, choking him as his body spasmed.
Her guild-mates didn't waste the opportunity. They struck in unison, their lightsabers carving through the incapacitated Sith and reducing him to pieces.
Behind her, an apprentice lunged with his red blade raised, but a deafening blast rang out as a nearby Jedi soldier with the water guild's blue insignia fired a shotgun. The apprentice was forced to turn and deflect the shot, leaving him open to Natalya's counterstrike.
She thrust her lightsaber into the Sith's back, the blade piercing through his chest. As he fell, she nodded to the soldier who had saved her, and they turned their focus back to the battle.
