The Moon Thief

Chapter 77: Important Information

Those who could gain understanding in the Concept of Space could control the 'Gravity' and 'Space' spells and the runes associated with them. Those who gained understanding in the Concept of Light would have mastery over the Light and Illusion spells, as well as over the runes associated with them. The difference between these spells and Elemental spells was that there was no need to convert Magical Energy into any kind of energy. Spells about these two concepts were created directly by Magical Energy.

Heinald thought about the information he had learned from the book without sleeping until the day he joined Albin's experiment. He wanted to gain the power of these two concepts with all his heart, but there was a big question in his mind that he did not understand.

He was going to ask this question to Albin!

Heinald took a deep breath and murmured, "It's time to hand over the book and join the experiment."

He stood up and took the book and left his room. He started walking straight to his master Albin's room. When he came to the long corridor where Albin's room was located, he saw his master walking towards him from the opposite side.

"Master!" Heinald bowed hid head and received his master.

Albin looked at his young apprentice and asked, "Have you finished reading the book?"

Heinald nodded, "I've read it, master. It's a really valuable book."

Albin gestured to his young apprentice to walk with him, "I hope you have been able to derive important insights from the book."

Heinald was silent for a moment and then asked, "Master, how can I accept on a mind and spirit level that everything is part of the concepts of Light and Space?"

"Everyone's acceptance phase is different, but I think I can give you some advice." After a short pause, Albin continued, "Sometimes your eyes are not enough to see things, in such cases try to see with your senses."

Albin continued walking after speaking. Heinald began to follow him thoughtfully. He was trying to understand the meaning behind his master's words.

"Seeing with senses…" Heinald repeated in his heart.

"You don't know the content of the experiment I will do,right?" Albin's question broke the silence.

"I don't know, master." Heinald replied.

Albin didn't say anything and continued walking slowly. After walking a few corridors, they stopped in front of a large black door.

The seals on the door flashed as Albin casually waved his hand, and soon various unlocking sounds were heard.

As Albin's apprentice, Heinald had entered his master's personal laboratory, a place no one had access to. This laboratory was so large that it took up almost a quarter of the gigantic mansion. Inside the lab there were more alchemy tools than Heinald had ever seen, and hundreds of bookshelves that completely filled the walls.

Heinald noticed that there were doors in various parts of the lab, and thought, "Storage rooms maybe."

Seeing his apprentice looking around curiously, Albin turned to him and said, "Follow!"

Heinald followed his master. They passed through one of the doors and began descending into a basement.

"This is…" Heinald's eyes began to grow larger as he descended the stairs.

What Heinald originally thought was the basement was actually an artificial garden. It was like the Sundown Gardens, but it was slightly smaller and unnatural. There was a formation covering the entire area, and part of the garden was covered with a transparent barrier.

"The purpose of me making this garden was to create a special kind of plant." Albin took a deep breath and continued, "Every potion has an effect, and each ingredient used in making that potion has an effect. To make a multi-effect potion, it is necessary to use many ingredients with different effect and this exposes our main problem with imbalance."

Albin pointed to the transparent barrier.

"And what would you think if I told you that we can get the effect we normally get with more than one ingredient from a single plant?"

"What!?" Heinald almost had a fit of surprise at what he heard.

Albin smiled lightly and said, "If I'm successful, the essence of the plant I've grown inside this transparent barrier will be enough for me to make a potion that increases immunity to the Ice Element by 10% without any other ingredients."

Heinald understood his master's purpose. In order to make a multi-effect potion, he first reduced the material crowd. Thus, it would aim to reduce the imbalance problem. However, there was something that did not cross his mind. If the essence of this plant alone produced the effect that would normally occur with the combination of a few ingredients, it would be a very unnatural herb, and the impurity rate would obviously be too high. The body would develop immunity to such an impure essence in a single use.

Albin guessed what his apprentice was thinking when he saw his brows lightly brooding, and said, "If you're considering the impurity ratio, you don't have to worry, I have a way to solve it."

"Master, how did you manage to grow such a plant?" Heinald asked.

"First of all, I have to say that the plant has not yet grown successfully. I have been doing various experiments on plants for about ten years. In general, after determining the necessary environment for the plant, I created that environment with the help of formations and injected various mixtures into the stem of the plant during the development of the plant. For example, I watered the plant inside the transparent barrier with a special water obtained from the leaves of the Icemoon Rose."

Albin explained the process haphazardly.

There were different plants in different parts of the garden. Heinald examined these plants carefully, but they were not the kind of plants he knew.

Albin gathered three of the surrounding plants and headed for the stairs to go up.

Heinald immediately followed him and went upstairs with him.

When they got up, Albin ordered his apprentice to prepare various alchemy tools. When the tools he wanted were ready, he extracted the essences of the herbs he had gathered in various stages and put them in three different containers.

When Albin saw his apprentice watching his actions carefully, he nodded slightly and said, "These three essences contain concentrated amounts of fire, ice, and poison element particles.

Heinald nodded.

When Albin poured the essences into a small cauldron filled with silver water, the essences stood in three different areas without mixing. Mixtures of red, white and green colors were fixed in completely separate places from each other. There was no activity in the cauldron for half a minute, but then yellow smoke started to rise from the cauldron. The mixture began to take on a dark green color, and the nasty smell after unsuccessful potion brewing emerged.

This is exactly how a normal person would see the process. However, Heinald saw the process very differently thanks to his eyes. He had watched the entire process with full attention and sending Magical Energy to his eyes. Pushing the limits of his eyes, he observed the essences reaction with each other.

When he looked at essences, instead of seeing colors, he was seeing something like a filamentous tissues. This filamentous tissue never separated from each other and stood together. There was no change in the structure of these filamentous tissues for half a minute, but then the filamentous tissue that first formed the ice core began to disintegrate. Then the filamentous tissue that made up the fire essence, and then the filamentous tissue that made up the poison essence disintegrated.

But what caught Heinald's attention was that these textures never disturbed each other and did not mix with each other. Each tissue began to disintegrate on its own, the tissues did not annihilate each other by mixing with each other.

"What are your thoughts?" Albin's question pulled Heinald out of his thoughts.

"The essences didn't mix for half a minute, but then one reaction and the whole mix..." Heinald didn't know how to finish the sentence.

"A typical elemental particle mismatch. If we want to find a solution, we need to have a very good understanding of the process that led to the fail in the first place." Albin scratched his chin thoughtfully, then added, "The reason I'm pointing this out to you is probably because you've never seen anything crazy like this before. Who knows? Perhaps your young mind can draw some important inferences about this process later on."

Did you repeat this process with different plants?" asked Heinald.

"Yes, of course." Albin nodded. "I did the same experiments on many different plants containing elemental particles, the result was the same in all of them. It was just that the reaction times varied sometimes."

Heinald said, "Master, call me back when you do this kind of experiment."

"Don't worry, you will accompany me as my apprentice in my next experiments." Albin nodded.
