Chapter 46: Jusen City
Heinald left the shop excitedly after buying the book. Before leaving the city, he wanted to browse other shops, hoping that he could find potion formulas at a more affordable price in other shops. He visited various shops in Market Square but could not find a shop that sold good quality potion formulas.
He decided to stop by the inn where he was staying with his friends last time. He entrusted a letter to the innkeeper and left. In the letter he wrote to Dane and the others that he was in Guljan Town. He didn't want to linger in more cities and set out to return to town.
He didn't start making potions as his first job back in town. He just finished reading The Anatomy of the Earth, and started thinking about it. This book really broadened his horizons. As he understood from this book, the Ainsars had to strengthen not only their bones and muscles, but also their internal organs, blood and skin in order to rise.
Every part of the human body was interconnected and every part of the body had to evolve to become a higher order being, where 'strengthening' could be seen more like evolving. Because when these stages were completed, humanity was exited and a higher being was made.
"If my inferences are correct, I don't need to strengthen my internal organs, blood or skin to become a Level 2 Ainsar. I will need to strengthen them later stages of Ainsar Path. In order to become a Level 2 Ainsar, I have to find a way to strengthen my muscles and bones once again. " Heinald briefly considered his situation.
He had found a way to strengthen his body when he was Apprentice Ainsar, but the methods he used then would make no difference to his current state. His body's standards were very different than before, so it required a very different approach. These approaches should have been effective enough to affect the strength of a Level 1 Ainsar, otherwise there would be absolutely no progress.
Time continued to flow rapidly and five months passed. During this time Heinald continued to experiment on various plants and expand his knowledge base. He also tried to gain insight by trying to understand the concepts and principles of the Lightning Element.
Unfortunately, this was much more difficult than he thought!
On the other hand, he did not neglect to constantly brew potions. His shop was getting more and more customers day by day. He even started to brew potions in the shop so that he wouldn't run out of potion stock. Fortunately, now that he was an expert in potion making, he could quickly brew potions without making any mistakes.
Although he could not create a new potion formula, he managed to increase the effects of some potions with various herbs, albeit a little. This had a direct effect on the amount of Arkana Stones he gained. He had gained over 100,000 Arkana Arkana Stones in the past 5 months. During this time, no one offered him any substantial items for trade, but ultimately he earned a pretty good amount of Arkana Stones, which was quite enough for him.
The only thing that has demoralized him over the course of time was his inability to hear from his friends. They had agreed that they would meet in a year, but there was no news from them. Recently he had visited the inn in the city and questioned the innkeeper, but there was no news from them.
"The auction time is getting closer. Old Reulon better not be late." Heinald was muttered. He became a good friend of this old man whom he had met as his first customer in time. One of the other days, the old man had informed him about an upcoming auction.
According to Reulon, the trade association behind this auction was a very wealthy one. For this reason, it was likely that there were many valuable items and resources at the auction. Heinald had a good amount of savings over the years, and if he saw an item or resource that would work for him, he could take a step to buy it.
"Are you ready, old man?" Heinald made a hand gesture to Reulon, who was approaching him.
"Lets go." Old Reulon nodded.
The auction was to be held in Jusen City, a large city in the north of the kingdom. According to Reulon, the Jusen City was like the backbone of the kingdom, with the majority of powerful families in this city, which is why Heinald was quite curious about this city.
Heinald and Reulon traveled on horseback for days. Along the way, they stopped in various small towns and villages and continued their journey. Finally, they began to see the gigantic walls of Jusen City. The dazzling sight and glow of the Royal Palace could be clearly noticed even from miles away.
Heinald and Reulon were taken to the city after a short check. Together, the two began looking for an inn to stay because there were only two days before the auction started. During this period, they had to find a place to stay, but the city was very crowded due to this event, and it seemed that it would be difficult to find an empty place.
After touring many inns together, they finally managed to find an inn with two vacant rooms and rented two rooms and settled in their rooms. Since Heinald has been working hard for a long time, he spent time without fiddling with anything until the auction day. He had usually slept through this time.
The day of the auction was both prepared and they went to the huge building where the auction would take place. This building had a round structure and had 5 floors. To participate in the auction, everyone had to prove that they had at least 10,000 Arkana Stones. After waiting a long time in line, the two proved that they had 10,000 Arkana Stones and were sent to the auction hall after they received the number.
"Wow..." Heinald couldn't restrain himself as he looked the surrounding. The inside of the building was filled with shining white marbles, gold embroidery and precious stones. There were many lodges on each floor, which should have been reserved for members of large families.
Heinald and Reulon sat in the seats the attendant had shown them. Before long, the huge hall was completely filled.
"There are many Level 1 Ainsars around. I'm sure most of the people inside the lodges are Level 2 Ainsars. But I don't feel any energy surge from the lodges, an energy-concealing formation seems to protect the lodges." Heinald muttered.
Whoever was in the lodges and the energy waves should have been blocked by some kind of formation. It was as if there was a black curtain over the lounges.
"Dear guests, I would like to welcome you all first. My name is Ard and I will be happy and honored to lead the Yuler Trade Association's Auction today." Soon after, a bald man appeared on the scene.
Clapping sounds rose from the whole hall.
"If everyone is ready, come our first item!" The two attendants came out behind the scenes with a large jar when the bald man made a gesture. Inside the jar was a flower emitting a faint blue glow. The attendants slowly put the jar on the table on the stage and left.
"This flower you see is known as the Aetus Lisur Flower. It contains a Spiritual Energy extract powerful enough to even affect the spirit of Level 2 Ainsars." The bald man introduced the flower in a loud voice.
"Is it even effective for a Level 2 Ainsar !?"
"Fantastic!"
People around started talking to each other. Normally, Spirit Potions were common for spirit growth, but some special herbs alone could be beneficial for spirit growth. That was great, but such a plant would likely cost a lot.
"Opening price is 300,000 Arkana Stones!" Ard said.
"320.000"
"350.000"
360.000"
"380.000"
"400.000"
...
Shocking offers began to come in one after another. These numbers were, for now, numbers Heinald would not dare even to think about. When he heard the offers from the lodges, he could not prevent his eyes from widening.
The Aetus Lisur Flower was last given to Ainsar in lodge 25 for 500,000 Arkana Krsitali.
"Next item!" Ard clapped twice.
At that moment an attendant came from behind with a sword in his hand. The hilt of the sword in his hand was made of ordinary old leather. It looked like it had nothing special about it. The attendant left the stage after slowly dropping the sword on the table.
Ard took the sword in his hand and slowly pulled it out of its hilt. The sword was slender and elongated, the blade was slightly bow-shaped and as white as the moon.
"This sword is an Attack Type Magical Treasure. According to its owner, it can absorb the Fire Element created by the surrounding or its user and use it for powerful attacks based on damage. This sword is referred to as an E class Magical Treasure. " Ard introduced the sword.
