The Moon Thief

Chapter 44: Heinald's Potions Shop

Time flew by, and a month passed.

Heinald was focused solely on potion making, he had not taken any further action.

"Huh!" Heinald exhaled.

He had just finished his hundredth potion, and they were all at the best level with the ingredients they were made. He stored all the potions in the dimensional pocket of his robe and set out for Hunran City. When he reached the city after a few days' journey, he went to Market Square and started looking for a suitable Potion Shop.

"Welcome sir." An attendant who saw Heinald greeted him.

"I'm here to sell potions." Heinald gave a slight nod.

"Please wait, sir." the attendant said and knocked on the door behind the safe and went inside. Then a middle-aged man came out of the room.

"Welcome! Can I see the potions you want to sell?"

Heinald took out the potions and placed them on the table. The middle-aged man was surprised to see a hundred potions.

"Excuse me, can I ask if you are a Potions Master?" The man looked at Heinald, drawing his gaze from the potions on the table.

"I am." Heinald nodded.

"Oh now I understand... Let's see..." The man started controlling the potions and valuing them.

"I'll buy all for 1000 Arkana Stones!"

"Pretty fair!" Heinald smiled slightly.

"Alright! I have bought a large amount of material, I will make various potions with all of these materials. I also have to research the herbs I have kept and practice more on the spells I have received from Morena." Heinald muttered.

Nothing was keeping him busy right now, as his agreement with Marcus expired. Moreover, he had already given him important information about Bloody Teeth, he had done what was asked of him. He would no longer deal with that man.

When he left the shop, he decided to spend some more time in Market Square. He was bored for a long time that all he had done was to make potions. Spending some time here would distract him and relax a little. He went into the various shops and started looking for all sorts of useful items.

He spent hours entering the various shops in the Market Square. He eventually found himself buying a total of ten books he thought would be helpful. He decided not to spend any more time and started his journey to Guljan Town.

When he entered his house in Guljan Town, he immediately arranged the materials he bought and started to produce various potions again. Potion Making was mentally exhausting, so when he took a break he bought books he could read and thought would be useful to calm his mind. Moreover, he would add a few hours of meditations to his schedule.

***5 Months Later***

Heinald had loads of Arkana Stones in front of him. These were Arkana Stones he earned by selling low-level potions he had made for months. These were 7000 Arkana Stones he earned by selling low-level potions he had made for months. In total, which could have been considered an investment, although he wouldn't mind wasting that many to open a shop. Shopkeepers who bought the potion would sell the potions for a little more than the price they bought, this was the underlying rule of the potion trade. Moreover, some Ainsar varieties were able to offer some valuable items instead of Arkana Stones to buy potions. He actually hoped he could get some opportunities from this, so he wanted to open a shop.

Moreover, he was able to accurately cast the spells he had learned from Morena.

After storing the Arkana Stones in the dimensional pocket of his robe, he went to the town's headquarters. Last time, the sullen woman was at her desk with the same sullen face. The inside of the building looked a lot more bleak than the last time she was.

"Hello, what are the requirements to buy a shop?" When Heinald came to her, he asked immediately.

"Sorry, but you can't buy a shop." Woman shook her head.

"Hm? Why?" Heinald's brows frowned slightly.

"That's the town rules. These rules were set by the rulers of the kingdom themselves." The woman said.

"You just want to earn more in the long run by collecting rent." Heinald said. He understood more or less why there was such a rule.

The woman is shrugged.

"What is the rental fee?" Heinald asked.

"500 Arkana Stones per month." The woman replied quickly.

"What !?" Heinald grit his teeth, which was officially a robbery, which would certainly loss if the shop didn't attract many customers and didn't get enough good deals.

"After all, this is a border town, many Ainsar's road falls here. That's why it's more expensive to open a shop here than in other towns." Seeing Heinald's statement, the woman explained.

"I wonder if there is the same procedure in other towns?" Heinald asked himself. On the other hand, he was not planning to do business here for many years. He would only seek various resources to break into Level 2 Ainsar, and for this he wanted a settled life for a while. Through this shop, he would sell the potions he made and search for various resources.

"So are there any offers or campaigns?" Heinald asked.

"What shop will you open?" The woman asked.

"Potion Shop." Heinald answered.

"Really?" The woman looked slightly surprised.

Heinald nodded.

"Please, wait." she said and went to the back.

"We can make a deal with you." When the woman arrived, she immediately looked at Heinald.

Heinald's eyebrows rose.

"We can license you for 400 Arkana Stones per month for two years."

"Agreed." Heinald thought for a while, then agreed. After all, two years was not a bad offer, he might even consider doing more business in the future.

He received his license after paying 400 Arkana Stones. If he did not continue to pay, his license would be discontinued.

Heinald went to the shop given to him and began to examine it. The shop was not in a remote part of town, but rather close to the headquarters. It was not very big inside, but it was quite enough. In fact, he would only use the showcases of this shop, and he was planning to make the potions at his home and bring them to this shop.

"Better go and buy ingredients for potions..." Heinald muttered. After completing his preparations, he made his way to Hunran City.

When he reached Hunran City, he immediately went to Market Square and bought the necessary ingredients for the potions he was making. He had also completed his examinations and researches on valuable plants that he had collected over time. This work increased his understanding of plants, and he thought that he could now synthesize various formulas.

After Heinald had all his needs, he immediately returned to town and began producing various potions. He put his potions on the market and hoped it would attract the attention of the Traveler Ainsars.

A few days flew by quickly.

Heinald had sold potions worth 200 Arkana Stones over the past few days. The potions he sold were low-purity potions that reduced fatigue for a short time. Such potions were often bought by Apprentice Ainsars.

"Greetings." A middle-aged man entered the shop.

"Welcome!" Heinald nodded to the incoming person. The middle-aged man against him was a Level 1 Ainsar.

"Do you sell Healing Potions?" The man asked.

"I have 10 Low-Level Healing Potions." Heinald nodded.

"I want them all," The man nodded.

"350 Arkana Stones or equivalent item." Heinald glanced at the man in front of him.

The middle-aged man took a book from the inside pocket of his robe and put it on the table.

"This book was given to me by my father, unfortunately I could not understand the high level information in it. Since I do not have enough Arkana Stones, I want to offer this book in return."

"Oh? What is the content of this book about?" Heinald glanced at the book.

"It has some concepts and principles about the Lightning Element, but as I said, I have not been successful in fully understanding the content." The middle-aged man sighed.

The middle-aged man allowed Heinald to look at some of the book's contents.

"Deal!" Heinald smiled softly and nodded.

After the middle-aged man left, Heinald quickly read everything in the book and began to think about it. Thanks to his flawless memory and eyes, it took only minutes to finish the book, but he could not understand most of the principles about the Lightning Element that the book contained. The middle-aged man was really right, the information contained in this book was really hard to understand.

"This is not unexpected. In a book I read at my grandfather's house that it was only gods who could fully grasp any concept or law. If I could understand too many principles about the Lightning Element, it would increase my strength incredibly because the lightning I create would be terrifying." Heinald muttered and nodded.

Of course, even if he understood all the principles about lightning in this book, it would be just a drop in the ocean. Understanding a law was not a matter of understanding a few principles!

"I'd better start making new potions." Heinald muttered. When he got home, he immediately began brewing various potions.
