Chapter 2: Chapter 2
When Stark family's butler, Jarvis, found Howard Stark, the man was humming an unfamiliar tune while soothing a child to sleep. Upon seeing Jarvis, Howard motioned toward the child with his chin.
Jarvis immediately lowered his voice and asked, "Sir, who is this child?"
Howard gazed at the peacefully sleeping baby in his arms and smiled. "A gift from the heavens. I've decided to adopt him—he will be the heir of the Stark family."
Jarvis was stunned. Then, his expression turned to shock. "Is this the… thing that just landed here?"
Howard nodded slightly. "Yes, it is. Now, go escort Madam and Tony back to the villa. Then, head to my lab, place Box No. 42 inside a larger container, and bring it to me. Handle this personally—and make sure no one realizes there's already something inside that box."
Jarvis nodded. "Understood, sir. I'll take care of it."
Howard nodded approvingly. "Oh, and bring me a piece of clothing—the softest one you can find."
Jarvis immediately understood what Howard wanted the clothing for and chuckled. "Rest assured, sir. I'll handle everything seamlessly—no traces left behind."
Howard hummed in acknowledgment. "Be quick."
Jarvis bowed slightly before leaving in a hurry. Less than five minutes later, he was back at Maria Stark's side, slightly out of breath.
Maria frowned. "Jarvis, where's Howard? What happened?"
Jarvis explained, "Sir discovered a meteorite and is conducting a preliminary examination. He instructed me to take you and the young master back to the villa and to retrieve some equipment from the lab for him."
Maria sighed. "I see. Alright, let's go."
She had originally planned a candlelit dinner with Howard, but knowing her husband, she realized he must have entered his 'work mode.' There was no point in arguing.
Jarvis nodded and turned to the head of security. "Sir is inside—do not disturb him. You know how much he hates interruptions while working. Set up a perimeter and stay on guard. I doubt anyone would dare cause trouble here."
The head of security, a burly white man in a black suit with a noticeable bulge at his waist—clearly carrying a weapon—nodded. "Don't worry. Mr. Stark will be safe."
Satisfied, Jarvis led Maria and young Tony away from the island.

Meanwhile, Howard cradled the sleeping child while staring at a uniform in front of him, lost in thought. Suddenly, his phone began to vibrate.
His expression darkened as he answered. "What is it?"
A voice on the other end asked, "Something landed on your island just now. Do you know what it is?"
Howard scoffed. "Don't even think about it. That's my private property. A meteorite lands here—it belongs to me. You have no right to interfere."
The voice remained firm. "That object didn't fall from space—it appeared directly over your island. We have the right to know what it is, and you know it."
Howard sneered. "So what? Until I've finished studying it, you're not getting your hands on it. And don't lecture me about 'rights'—you're just a Level 9 agent. Don't start acting like a director."
There was silence on the other end before the voice finally said, "Fine, Mr. Stark. I hope you'll share your research findings with us."
Howard coldly replied, "I'll consider it. And don't even think about spying on me—you know what I'm capable of." He ended the call.
---
On a hidden island in the Pacific, where all the landscapes—mountains, forests—were artificially constructed, a carved-out mountain stood at the center, disguising an underground facility.
Inside an office within that facility, a middle-aged Black man with a single eye scowled as he hung up the phone. "Stark refused."
Across from him, an elderly man with graying hair chuckled. "Heh, that's Howard Stark for you. I knew he'd refuse. Don't be discouraged—he's one of the agency's founding members."
The one-eyed man, his expression serious, countered, "The problem is—that thing wasn't a meteorite. You heard the report. It appeared over the island. This could be an advanced form of spatial technology. That thing could pose a threat to humanity."
The old man waved a hand dismissively. "Relax. I know Howard—he just wants to be the first to study it. Once he's done, he'll share his findings with the agency."
The one-eyed man—Nick—gritted his teeth. "And how do we know the data he gives us will be genuine?"
The elderly man's eyes narrowed. "Nick, I admire your dedication, but some things are beyond your control. Howard Stark is a founder of this agency. He knows better than anyone what's best for the world. You shouldn't doubt him."
Nick clenched his jaw. "I understand. But I'll still keep my doubts."
---
After ending the call, Howard realized the baby had woken up. The child's bright blue eyes stared at him curiously.
Howard's mood lifted instantly. "Heh, looks like you're my little source of joy. Sigh… Lately, they've been going too far—twisting justice to justify controlling others. They've completely lost sight of our original vision. But why am I telling you all this, little one?"
He tapped a few buttons on his watch, sending out an invisible, silent pulse that spread across the entire island.
With a smirk, he looked at the child. "There. Now they can't use satellites to spy on us."
The baby, seeing Howard's smile, grinned as well.
---
Thirty minutes later, Jarvis returned, sweating as he carried a large container into the room. "Sir, I finally got it here. Ugh, that was exhausting! I had to move it alone to avoid suspicion."
Howard chuckled. "Oh? Then I suppose I should give you a raise. Hmm… how about an extra penny?" He burst into laughter.
Handing the child to Jarvis, Howard opened the container. Inside was a crystal-like object emitting faint heat. Carefully, he placed it inside the impact crater. Then, he retrieved a small box from within the larger one.
After placing the uniform and the soft clothing Jarvis had brought inside the small box, Howard gently laid the child inside as well. Throughout the process, the baby remained calm and quiet.
Jarvis smiled. "He's such a well-behaved little one. Not fussy at all, and he doesn't fear strangers."
Howard nodded. "That's why I say he's a gift from the heavens. Alright, Jarvis, watch over him—see if you can get him to sleep. I need to clean up the scene so no one suspects anything. We should also take some of the island's soil with us when we leave—that way, we'll leave no trace behind."
Jarvis nodded. "Alright, I'll keep an eye on the little one." He began softly humming a lullaby.
Soon, Howard let out a breath, wiped his sweat, and said, "Done. Now, call them over—we're heading back."
Jarvis dialed the head of security, instructing him to bring the others inside to carry the container. Howard discreetly closed the lid on the baby's box.
When the security team arrived, they packed the crater's contents—along with some soil—into the large container before boarding the helicopter.
The group departed, heading straight for Howard's lab.
