Chapter 0
"Keuheuheu."
Belver is the main character of this world.
This isn't narcissistic—he really is the protagonist.
This world exists within an academy novel, and right now, Belver is the lead of that novel.
So there's nothing wrong with laughing like an eighth-grader with chuunibyou syndrome in front of the academy gates after the entrance ceremony.
Why?
Because Belver is the main character.
Who would dare stand in their way?
That's what he thought.
"Move aside, commoner."
"What?"
But the world is vast, and there are many people in it.
There can be those who boldly give orders to Belver.
At least for now, Belver is nothing.
He's not yet the main character who makes the Empire tremble and the Academy cheer.
He's just a student.
What could he possibly have when he hasn't even reached the story's starting point?
Nothing but the minimum living expenses provided for his possession.
The only benefits I got were in talent.
However, without any teaching or training, it was meaningless.
Wouldn't the current Belver have looked like a madman to the young lady?
It would be fortunate if a student suddenly laughing in the middle of the street just looked like a madman.
Though his face is fairly pretty, befitting a main character, that's all there is to it.
Basically, most nobles in this world are handsome and beautiful.
It's a fantasy novel, after all.
"I told you to move. Do you dare defy my words?"
"Ah, no... I'll move..."
Belver checked who it was and naturally stepped aside for the young lady.
There are two reasons for this.
First, before his possession, he couldn't even make eye contact with people, let alone women.
Second, because he knows who the young lady is.
Bellatrix de Salazar.
She's the villainess type among the many villains in this academy novel.
She becomes a villain due to her jealousy of one of the heroines.
She's like an eternal second-place type.
Of course, for the current Belver, she's someone he couldn't touch even a hair of, even if there were 10,000 of him.
So, he had no choice but to move aside immediately.
What if something got broken if he barked up the wrong tree?
Belver is someone who knows reality very well.
Even though he knows all the novel's knowledge, developments, and various secret information, he doesn't have any of it right now.
So he can't help but cower.
Watching Bellatrix pass by haughtily, he thought:
'Bad luck from day one.'
When Belver was a reader, he liked Bellatrix.
She was a villain who tried her best.
She really tried until she shed tears of blood to narrow the gap that couldn't be bridged by birth.
She never even glanced at malicious power.
But she wasn't superhuman.
When she grew tired and nearly accepted defeat, one of the main villains approached her, and she fell to corruption.
After her corruption, the main character subjugates her and finally kills her after reconciling with the heroine she was jealous of.
"I'm scared. I wonder if they'll send me back to Earth even now..."
This was Belver's impression upon meeting Bellatrix, whom he liked as a reader.
That's because he's no longer a reader of the novel but the main character himself.
How could an ordinary person not be afraid when someone who could kill Belver with one hand passes by with a cold gaze?
"Let's cleanly give up on rehabilitation or helping."
Originally, Belver had a very big dream.
The childlike dream of rehabilitating villains with stories for a true happy ending.
This dream was immediately eliminated after seeing Bellatrix.
Because he realized it was impossible to approach her.
You need to approach to be able to help, don't you?
The world wasn't as easy as he thought.
Bellatrix is someone with an extremely serious "chosen one" complex.
Though all nobles would be like that, Bellatrix is even worse.
Isn't it obvious just from her calling Belver a commoner?
"I should go to the dormitory and sleep. To think I'd get to see it in person!"
Belver deleted the memory of encountering Bellatrix with his characteristic positive mindset.
Right now, Belver's head is only filled with thoughts of going to the dormitory, which becomes the setting for numerous episodes.
The dormitory is shared between men and women in one building.
Of course, it's divided between women in the south and men in the north.
You can go wherever you want, but if you do, you'll receive the gazes of numerous people of the opposite sex.
Additionally, familiars patrol the dormitory corridors 24 hours daily to prevent incidents or crimes.
Who would commit crimes against the opposite sex by breaking through numerous familiars?
There were some, but they've all been caught and expelled so far.
But they weren't invincible.
"That's irrelevant to me. I can just prevent it before it happens."
Belver, who entered the dormitory, was overflowing with confidence.
He thinks there's no way he can't prevent it since he knows all the developments.
He can also report it to the professors.
"This is really soft. If I'm in the lower ranks and get this, what kind of rooms do the top and second place students live in?"
Having found his room, Belver fell face-first onto the bed.
Even after a week since his possession, he still hadn't properly adjusted.
It's half expectation and half anxiety.
The anxiety of whether some unknown incident might occur while he's sleeping.
Belver firmly closed his eyes, determined not to think bad thoughts.
He felt like he'd have more energy after sleeping.
"Please let me see a happy ending..."
Belver muttered as if hypnotizing himself.
This is an extremely important ritual for Belver, who was once a weak ordinary person.
A very important ritual that determines his tomorrow.
He fell asleep immediately after completing the important ritual.
And time passed until he woke up.
"What is this!!!!"
In Bellatrix's body.
