The Light Hero: Beacon

17th MAY 3164

It has been 2 weeks since the death of my closest friend, Midoriya Hisashi.

His funeral was yesterday, and I went alone.

The only other ones there were the families of the children who were taken.

It turns out, the one who shot him was the weakest one of them all, Takami.

Hisashi wasn't even in the path of the bullet, he took it to protect his son.

In the end, that man was more of a hero than I can ever hope to be.

Without him around, I will make sure his family does not suffer.

And I will ensure that my family does not either.

After seeing Hisashi's sacrifice, I realize my folly.

A legacy to surpass All Might? What a joke.

Before becoming a Hero I need to learn how to be a human, and how to be a father.

I will not allow what happened to Touya happen ever again.

4TH OCTOBER 3164

Natsuo has finally told me his decision. 

He plans to be a Hero and says that "Someone has to save the people who Touya was going to"

That boy I swear, I will never know where he got that sarcasm of his.

He has quite the quirk too. Not only can he create ice like his mother, he can control it from afar as well. 

I know because he almost dropped a brick of it on Fuyumi's leg, and was able to make it levitate using his powers. He is now learning about ice control from his uncle Geten.(Rei's cousin brother). He said he wants me to teach him how to fight once he learns everything he can.

Fuyumi said that she wants to become a doctor and save lives in her own way, and Rei has decided to introduce her to one of her friends.

Shoto says that he might as well become a hero as well as that's what he was made for. He had a smirk so I'm not sure if that was meant to be a jab at me or not.

I will take it as a warning that while they may have forgiven, they have not forgotten.

23rd APRIL 3161

Natsuo completed his 2nd week at UA today. He says that he was planning on taking the hero name 'Dabi' , which Touya planned on using, but then decided that he would be better off with 'Frozone', a hero name of his own.

I'm pretty sure he went along with it because his classmate Yu Takeyama suggested it to him while flirting.

He is, as they say these days, a simp.

Fuyumi is going to start college soon as well. She was accepted in the Yale school of medicine in the US.

Shoto says he made a friend called Tenya Iida in Somei Jr high.

Rei recently joined a book club nearby and has been gushing about a book to me called "The Fault in Our Stars"

She keeps telling me to read it.

What she doesn't know is that I read it 4 years ago.

On the day of its release.

I even had it signed by the author when we went to the US to confirm Fuyumi's college application.
