The Light Guardian

"Joe…" a familiar serenade voice whispered Joe's name, he woke up to see himself floating in the familiar dimension he saw the entity; it was like he was having a familiar dream,

"I am here again?" he said in his mind as he looked around to see a lone sword with curved bracers, its handle had gems embedded within them, and its blade were so bright it could be referred to as the sun. He walked closer to the blade as he used his hands to cover his eyes from the light the sword emits,

"Uh… no… no… no, you are not yet of that level." The familiar entity voice emanated through the air and Joe looked around to find the entity,

"why am I here?" he asked in his thought,

"You are not at the level to speak, yet you seem to be controlling this place or rather this place seems to be in love with your presence; that it decided to revealing it's secrets to you." The entity said as it snapped its fingers and another layer covered the sword and it vanished from the dimension,

"and I wasn't the one who brought you into this dimension you forced your way in." the entity said as it looked Joe straight into his eyes and chuckled seductively as it floated around the air and swirl around Joe

"I see why you have been chosen." The entity said hugging Joe from behind and whispering into his ear,

"This will be the last time you will come here until you come back with the Guardian's authority." It said floating to face Joe, it touched Joe's chest and push him backwards, Joe immediately jumped out of the dimension and woke up in his room on the floor, frosty licked him and he tried to stand up, he hit his head on the wood under the bed

"ouch." He groaned in pain as he rolled out from under the bed,

"It is already morning and I was under the bed…" he said

"I had the same weird dream like last time,"

"how is that possible?"

"what does those dreams mean?" He thought to himself deeply as a knock on his door brushed the thought from his head.

"I am coming." he said as stood up from the bed and rushed to the door and he opened it,

"hey." He said leaning on the edge of the door, it was Elizabeth and Liya as he stared behind them and he saw the others

"did you just wake up?" Elizabeth asked as she looked behind him and frosty walked up to his leg,

"uh a cat?" Elizabeth asked as she bends down to it and admires its white fur she had the gleam in her eyes

"it is so fluffy, whose cat are you harboring in your room." She asked

"Her name is Frosty, she is mine." He said and his eyes widen because he never told anyone of them he had a pet, Elizabeth gasped and stood up.

"What did you just say?" she asked

"Is this your cat?" she added

"Um yeah it is my cat…" he answered as he hid more of his face behind the door, frosty walked out the room and Elizabeth kicked the door open,

"So why am I just finding out now?" she asked

"For how long?" She added as she approached him

"You will end me if I say it." Joe wimped as his back hit the wall

"Spit it out now." She ordered,

"Th…Three years." He said and her eyes lost all emotions

"THREE YEARS!!!" she exclaimed as she cracked her fingers and grabbed him by the collar of his pajamas and shakes him continually,

"Please… save… me…" Joe pleaded for help from the others and all of them turn their eyes away from him

"Sorry, you are on your own for now." Fred said

"Man I'm sorry." John added as he looked upwards

"meow…" Frosty meowed as It run towards Joe who was almost passing the bridge from Elizabeth vicious hands of shaking and frosty put is paw on Elizabeth's leg and meowed again Elizabeth looked at frosty, they steered at each other for over a minute, and the gleam came into her eyes again and she dropped Joe and rubbed Frosty's fur as it purred.

"I'll let you go this time because of Frosty." Elizabeth said as she pointed at Joe who was half alive – half dead

"Now get dressed, we are going hiking." She added as she carried Frosty in her arms and walked out of the room and she shut the door behind her.

"Oh my goodness, Elizabeth almost killed me." He said as he stumbled to stand properly, he staggered to the bath room as the effect of the shake was still at work, he held his head from the striking pain, then got into the tub and twisted the wooden head of the tap, and warm water flowed into the tub as he soaked himself in it, he closed his eyes submerging himself inside the halfway filled tub, his core and fore head glowed after some minute of submerging. He got out of the tub and wiped his body, he then dressed in his casual and went out of the room, he came down the stairs to the lounge where there were a lot of people.

He located his friends and they went out the inn and head for the mountains rocky road,

"Did anyone learn anything new since we came?" John asked the others as they looked ahead of them he mines where the raw materials are most mined from, atop the mountain is a river which mysteriously flow from heavens knows where.

"me." Keji said as she raised her right hand,

"Let us hear it." John answered

"okay I have heard it as one of the folk tale of the Veltharyn kingdom."

"it was said that around five thousand years ago hordes of doom creatures known as demons roam the earth surface which brought carnage and doom, the time of terror continued until a hero raised from amongst the people, he was blessed with abundant light affinity Eldrath, he was so powerful the doom creatures feared him, he vanquished all the doom lords known as disasters and doom itself; Evil." She narrated which made everyone listened attentively

"due to his good nature he only sealed them vanquishing their power into the abyss of Eldrath, which brought the possibility of people able to wield the power," she continued

"but evil keeps getting is power over time and he always break free from the seal,"

"so the hero has taken different form and the hero's title has been passed down the year as evil continues to be put in place with different seals technique." she added

"but what they say is it is every five hundred years evil awaking and causes disasters and doom,"

"Calculating it, this year makes it another five hundred years." She finished as her last words left cold icy itchy feeling on their body.

"I hope it is just a superstition." Nicholas said as he put his hands in his pocket and sighed as he looked at the view of the village from the edge.

"Umm what is the title of the hero?" Liya asked out of curiosity and everyone listend attentively

"The said title of the hero was… The Guardian." Keji answered as the mountain rumbled like a stomach, and they all found something to hold on to.

"what is going on?" Nicholas asked

"how are we supposed to know." John answered and the rumbling stopped and they checked if everyone was safe then they proceeded to the cave for sightseeing,

"after checking all those other caves let us go back." Elizabeth suggested as they got to a separate cave which have no signs of exploration,

"I have a bad feeling about this specific cave, it gives me the chills." She added as she stopped in front of the cave with frosty in her arms she hugged frosty tightly while others wanted to go in, a cold air blew from inside the cave out which hit them and it sent chills down Elizabeth's spine, as she took step back from the entrance.

"I'm am not going in there." She protested with a serious look on her face,

"Hey nothing is going to happen."

"We will just be out in two minutes." Keji said with a smile as she went to touch her shoulders comforting her to trust the process, but the feeling she is getting from the cave is stronger that the affirmations Elizabeth is giving her,

"No I insist I stay outside." She instated as she took Keji hands off her shoulders

"But no one will be out here with you are you sure you don't want to come in?" Liya asked

"Yes I prefer to be outside" she answered unwavering

"But…"

"I will stay behind with her, so she is going to be fine." Fred interrupted Keji with a smile on his face,

"Okay if you say so" Keji answered,

Keji and the others walked into the cave, the stones outside were different, the inside walls had some kind of sculpted drawing in them but due to the low light they could only barely see it, at the end of the cave was a light room they could all see from afar,

"See I told Elizabeth it was fine." Keji said as she spread her hands and looked up,

"yeah I guess this is cool," Nicholas said as they proceeded to the end of the cave and they entered a circular room with gigantic statues sitting on thrones at an altar, they were nine statues each have different unique form one was like a twelve year old boy, another was a wolf, another was a lady, another a hunter, another a teenage elf, another a king, another a shepherd, another an eagle, the last one was standing by what looks like his seat he was holding a staff in his hands hand his head was shaved.

"Whoa look at this…" Keji said as she jumped with excitement and cover her mouth with her hands as she looked around, Liya who came with a drawing pad and a pencil started documenting the features of the statues and the room, everyone was carried away with the view until Nicholas found a book on the altar…
