The Last Incubus with The Vice and Valor System

Chapter 86: Leon Vs Euwen! (3)

Euwen's golems, partially regenerated, lumbered forward to assist their master. Leon, sensing the impending threat, dashed to the side, his movements a blur.

He spun around, his katana arcing through the air and severing the arm of the closest golem. The creature stumbled but continued its assault, its other arm swinging down with brutal force.

Swoosh-!!!

Leon's eyes narrowed as wind breezed past his ears. He sidestepped the attack and delivered a series of rapid strikes, each one chipping away at the golem's rocky exterior.

Euwen, seeing his creation falter, formed a hand seal and channeled more Qi into the golem. The creature's wounds began to close faster, its movements growing more aggressive.

"This ends now!" Euwen shouted, his voice echoing across the arena. He raised his longsword high, a surge of Qi enveloping the blade, making it glow with a fierce, blinding light. With a powerful roar, he brought the sword down, aiming to cleave Leon in two.

Leon, unfazed, met the attack head-on. His katana, now shimmering with his mana, clashed with Euwen's blade.

The impact created a shockwave, sending dust and debris flying in all directions. The ground beneath them cracked, unable to withstand the sheer force of their combined power.

Just as it seemed the two were at a stalemate, Euwen's expression twisted into a sinister grin. "You think you've seen my full strength? Think again," he hissed.

With a swift motion, he gestured to the side, and the remaining golems surged forward, their eyes glowing with an eerie light.

Leon's gaze flickered to the advancing golems. He knew he had to act fast. Channeling his Qi into his legs, he leaped into the air, twisting his body to avoid their grasp

As he descended, he noticed Euwen forming another hand seal, his lips moving in a silent incantation. A sense of foreboding washed over Leon.

Euwen's eyes glinted with malice as he completed the seal. "Feel the true power of the Mountain Heart Art!" he bellowed.

Before Leon could react, the ground beneath him began to tremble violently.

He glanced down to see the earth splitting open, and from the depths emerged a massive, towering golem, twice the size of the previous ones, its body radiating a terrifying aura.

Leon landed gracefully, his eyes widening at the sight before him. The colossal golem's eyes locked onto him, and with a deafening roar, it raised its gigantic arm, ready to crush him with a single blow.

Leon tightened his grip on his katana, his mind racing. This was no ordinary golem, and he knew he was about to face his toughest challenge yet.

The golem had a ferocious aura, completely different from the other three. Clearly, the aura imbued into this specific golem wasn't small.

The spectators were shocked. It was already astonishing that Euwen could control three golems, as controlling these golems took a lot of mental power, but four? It was completely unprecedented.

"As expected of a young master of the Mountain Heart Family..."

"As much as he's hot-headed and hot-tempered, Sir Euwen is actually a genius hiding his true ability all this while. I wonder how many more tricks he's hiding..."

"Leon is in trouble. Synchronized attacks from four golems are not to be underestimated."

"He better win; I bet my whole savings on him," a man among the spectators said with clenched hands.

"Look at the size of that golem! It's like a moving mountain."

"I knew Euwen was strong, but this is beyond anything I imagined."

"Leon's good, but can he handle this? This golem looks like it could flatten a city." A spectator exaggerated, clearly, he was thrilled by the fight, happy that Euwen has a chance of winning.

By now, the crowd's mocking tone for Leon had reduced greatly. Leon had proved he wasn't what they imagined him to be. He wasn't just some pretty face with no ability.

What they thought would be a quick and easy victory for Euwen turned out to be a tough one. Euwen was fighting tooth and nail with all he had, but still, there was no end in sight.

But still, even as things were, they were more inclined to Euwen winning.

After all, most of them, having high hopes that Euwen would win, bet a huge amount of money on him winning the duel. Euwen losing the duel would shatter the hopes and dreams of many who hoped to earn a fortune from the duel.

Meanwhile, back at the large arena, with the gigantic golem standing in front of him, Leon stood unpressured, scoffed silently, and braced himself for the impending attack, knowing that the next few moments would determine the outcome of this fierce duel.

The golem in front of him, though bigger, was also extremely fast. The pressure on Leon had increased to a whole new level now that the number of golems attacking him had increased to four.

Leon's eyes narrowed. He took a deep breath, centering himself. His katana glowed with a fierce light, his mana flowing steadily into the blade.

The golem's arm suddenly descended with a force that seemed to shake the very air around it. Leon moved with fluid grace, dodging to the side and slashing at the golem's wrist.

His blade met the rocky surface, sending sparks flying, but the golem's arm remained intact. For some reason, his blade want able to penetrate it again.

Euwen smirked. "Impressive but your past trick won't work on this golem," he taunted.

With a swift gesture, he commanded the other golems to attack.

Leon found himself surrounded. The golems moved with surprising agility, their synchronized attacks a testament to Euwen's control.

Leon's katana danced through the air, blocking and parrying with precision. Each clash sent shockwaves through his arms, but he held his ground, his focus unyielding.

The largest golem raised its arm again, aiming to crush Leon beneath its weight. Leon saw his chance.

Channeling his mana into his legs, he launched himself into the air, flipping over the golem's descending arm. He landed behind it, his katana slashing at its exposed back.

Clang-!!!!

Sparks flew the air, Leon cursing as he lept away from the Golem's back just in time avoiding a vicious blow from the other Golems...

The scene was overbearing...

They acted in perfect cooperation, their synchronized attacks an awe-inspiring spectacle for the spectators.

Behind the golems, Euwen's face was pale. He could fight while controlling three with minor basic commands, but controlling an additional golem was clearly taking a toll on him.

"Damnit!" he cursed with furrowed brows.

'I never thought I'd use this against him...'

Gritting his teeth, he formed a hand seal. "Golem spirits, merge!"

Immediately, the glowing eyes of all the golems lost their color.

Their earthen and rocky bodies converged toward the central golem. Instead of growing larger, the merged golem actually reduced greatly in size as the bodies of the four golems compressed tightly.

The eyes of the resulting golem glowed a fierce, fiery red, brighter than the eyes of the previous four combined. Its form was compact and dense, exuding an intense aura of power and danger.

Leon was momentarily stunned by the sight in front of him. Everything had happened so fast. He hadn't anticipated Euwen having more tricks up his sleeve.

The golem was still compressing, its height reducing to just under two meters, about the height of a tall human. Leon gritted his teeth. He'd be a fool to wait for the golem to completely form.

He sprinted around it in a blur, aiming to make a beeline straight for the retreating Euwen and end this once and for all.

At least, he was about to do that, but before he could completely sprint around the forming golem...

Swoosh-!!!

An arrow, thin but extremely sharp, made out of hardened earth, emerged from the golem's body, flying with insane momentum toward Leon.

"Damnit..." Leon cursed, forced to halt and tilt his head slightly, narrowly avoiding the arrow that was aiming for his throat.

Before he could catch his breath, he somersaulted backward. The arrow, which had missed his throat, as if it had a mind of its own, actually returned, targeting his throat once again.

When he somersaulted backward, the arrow returned to the golem seamlessly, merging with the now fully formed entity.

Its emotionless eyes focused intently on Leon.

Just like that, Leon lost his opportunity to end the duel...

The spectators' murmurs grew louder, their excitement and tension palpable.

"What kind of trick was that?"

"That arrow was like it had a life of its own!"

"Leon's in real trouble now. It seems Euwen comprehension of the Mountain heart Golem art is high... Reaching such level of comprehension at such a young age, a true genius!"

Most of the spectators heaved a sigh of relief, if Leon was defeated, it's a good thing for them, their emotions was now in a dissaray...
