'I should find a way to sell those sealing scrolls... I don't know how but certainty they needed to be tested which is no problem for me, other than that...' she sighed in irritation 'It seems like I'll need Genma's help again, while I still didn't ask him about my Gunbai, it would be a hassle if he asked me to go on another mission with him'
As you can tell, Yumiko was already up, it was six in the morning and she was drinking her green tea with mochi; Sakura flavor
After washing her dishes she went straight to the library before creating nine shadow clones
There weren't any Ninja in the library, most time Yumiko found herself alone or with the librarian who got used to her weird behavior of creating clones to fasten her learning process
At first, he looked at her strangely when seeing her using shadow clones in order to learn faster, but she soon understood why after getting the headache
She still wonders why he didn't warn her...
Yumiko left the library, leaving behind her nine clones while she headed to a random training ground, this time a distance away from the academy.
She started doing warm-ups before starting her exercises.
One hour passed before she stopped, she got her weights out from a sealing scroll and then put them on both her legs and arms
A small smile found its way to her face as she thought happily, 'Those weights aren't effective on me anymore! Well I didn't change them since the chunin exams'
Yumiko started adding chakra to each one of them, increasing their weight till she felt them heavy on her body
'Now, should I train my Taijutsu or Ninjutsu? Well it's been a while since I last trained my Ninjutsu' While pondering, a thought suddenly crossed her mind
'what if I train my Uzumaki sealing chains?
I can create a shadow clone to watch my surroundings while training.
And either way, the Hokage knows the Uzumaki blood running in me...sigh as expected from an experienced ninja like him' she shrugged her shoulder dismissing her worries
Yumiko didn't waste her chance, this time she was determined to improve her somehow kekkei genkai
She created a clone who sat in a meditation pose and activated its chakra field
Yumiko started by creating some chains trying to focus on each one of them
Her training went from trying to throw them like kunais at trees to creating clones who were tasked to move around while she tried to catch them with her chains
At some point, Yumiko tried to absorb one of her clones chakra while they were stuck in her chains and surprisingly it did work
All the clones stopped on their track, they glanced at each other in surprise before one of them spoke
"As expected from the Uzumaki chains! I totally forgot they can suck tailed beasts chakra" the clone said in awe while the other clones agreed with its statement
"Hey Yumiko! If you can drain anyone's chakra with your chains, there is no doubt you can do it with your Gunbai!"
Yumiko glanced at her clone, deep in thought before replying "Let's fix it first with Genma's help then try it"
The next four hours were spent training her chains
The weights didn't bother her since she was standing in one place focusing entirely on her moving chains
Their speed improved greatly, and also her control over them
She still can't create hundreds of chains while having control over all of them like Karin
It was harder than she'd expected it to be
After getting enough training, Yumiko dispelled every clone on the training ground before flickering toward the library
Her clones were still reading scrolls,
noticing her arrival they started dispelling themselves while letting a considerable amount of time between each dispelling
After finishing the process, she thought, 'Hmm... barriers are complicated to do, and there isn't much in this library about them, but either way, I've memorized all the symbols required to do a simple barrier.
It's time to re-start my experiments' Yumiko thought before sitting on a nearby table, writing all the symbols on her copybook
She turned the page only to find it the end of the copybook, she sweat dropped while thinking 'Wow this copybook lasted long...I used it since I was in the academy.
I should buy a new one, or two? And I also have to buy those Fuinjutsu papers' Yumiko sighed before taking out a scroll
'With this rate my money wouldn't last long, meaning I have to take missions sooner or later' Sigh 'How bothersome' her grip on the scroll that has her money tightened

"So what are you training for?" Genma asked, crossing his hands before adding
"You know, sensei has been feeling lonely lately, I missed teaching you and going to missions with you" Yumiko narrowed her eyes at him, remembering all the shit he put her through
She answered with a fake smile "Well, I began learning Fuinjutsu recently, and it seems like am good at it"
"oh..." Genma blinked in surprise

After taking another Dango stick, Yumiko got straight to the point "The reason I asked to meet you sensei is that I broke my Gunbai in our last mission" Yumiko declared, taking bits from her Dango
"You broke your Gunbai?"
Yumiko glanced at him, nodding at his statement before looking back at her half-eaten Dango
'maybe I should replace my mochi with dango? Those things are so damn good... wait a second! Is that the Uchiha blood effect? No way' Yumiko gaped at her own silly thoughts
"Well, I asked an old friend of mine to place an order for a Gunbai in the land of Iron, his name is Kurama Chisaki, he didn't mind since he had a mission to do near the land of Iron" said Genma thoughtfully
'you've got to be kidding me! Land of Iron of all places! Am not getting back there'
Needless to say, Yumiko was still paranoid about that place. Even though she didn't go there herself and instead sent a clone, the mission alone had her mortified.
As if reading her mind, Genma suddenly stated "I'll bring you a new Gunbai Yumiko-chan don't worry, as your former sensei I should take care of my former student" he added, nodding to himself in satisfaction
'I am not that desperate, but who am I to say no to such an opportunity?'
"Thanks, sensei, you are the best!" Yumiko exclaimed with a bright smile
"Better than Hayate?" Genma raised his eyebrow teasingly, a small smirk plastered his face.
Yumiko sighed intentionally before responding, "Well, Hayate sensei is good, but since I've known you more than him..." Yumiko stopped mid-sentence, smiling widely at him. "Hayate is still the best!"
Genma looked at her stupefied, the senbon in his mouth fell on the restaurant table
"You know where to find me, sensei! When my Gunbai is ready of course. After all, I am busy these days and I can't afford a distraction" Yumiko winked at him before leaving the restaurant hurriedly with two dango sticks in hand
Genma looked at the restaurant entrance where Yumiko had been seconds ago before chuckling in astonishment
'Well, I kinda deserve it,' he thought in amusement. 'That was a change nevertheless, my student became bold; maybe one day she'll even begin scheming... No, I got ahead of myself' he shook his head 'Hopefully she stays like this'
