CH 06 - The Noble Flower in My Clumsy Writing
Chapter 06
(Part:01) The Noble Flower in My Clumsy Writing
“Ah… it’s Russell… Russell Ashgreen.”
She’s probably around the same age, though she’s actually much younger, a little kid, but I spontaneously spoke with formal speech.
What should I say? Was I swept up by the atmosphere?
‘Etranger Del Vio.’
Honestly, I didn’t think I’d meet her like this.
She’s the adopted daughter of the former general and a heroine from the first generation of the fanfiction protagonist’s harem, one of the key pieces in preventing the continent’s destruction.
At the same time, to me, she’s the real heroine.
She was introduced as the main character’s official partner from the start.
Of course, the ending was a massacre.
It started big, but it’s probably going to end in massacre.
“I was assigned by the general to escort and guide you to the academy. If you enroll in the military academy, I’ll be your senior, but I heard you’re one year older than me, so until then, don’t worry about giving me the senior treatment.”
“No, it’s fine, Senior. Let’s speak casually.”
“I prefer this way. You speak casually.”
Her firm rejection came back.
I nodded.
“Well, if that’s the case. I’ll leave it to you, Senior.”
This is how the character is.
She’s a true noble lady, rare in this world, who doesn’t care about the noble bloodline and status.
She’s the only daughter of Aslan, the former general and a sword master, who loved her deeply.
But the fact that she’s an adopted daughter in a noble family weighs on her, pushing her to perfectionism.
She strives so hard that even the smallest flaw can’t be seen.
“I’ll leave it to you too. It’s my first mission assigned by the general, so I want to complete it perfectly.”
She smiled faintly, the kind of smile that made people feel good.
‘For some reason, I feel like I should apologize.’
Etranger has one of the most noble settings in the story, but she’s also one of the most hated characters by the readers.
A frustrating character.
A flat character.
An artificial character.
I’m the one to blame for this, though. My poor writing kept her from truly shining.
I’d barely made eye contact with her,I was curious about her current state.
When I thought about it, my vision blurred, and my power activated.
In front of me, Etranger’s status screen appeared.

‘She already upgraded her exclusive power and Royal Palace Vision Swordsmanship to 2 stars.’
She’s just a first-year cadet at the military academy, but her growth rate is definitely exceptional.
She’s the only one from the 20th class who participated in the final war, so she definitely deserves the title of a top-tier recruit.
‘She doesn’t have the “Eye of Perception,” but she’s a broken character whose growth limit for all stats except her talent is over 90.’
She’s totally worthy of being called the next swordmaster to follow in her father’s footsteps.
A talented overachiever, I guess.
I pulled my gaze away from Etranger, who was staring at me blankly.
She’s definitely someone I need to include as a teammate, but it’s not my job to handle her.
That’s the protagonist’s job.
I didn’t want to mess around and end up in some academy harem drama.
The goal is simple—clear the mission and survive.
Just making sure she’s “a decent person” is enough.
“Is that all your luggage?”
“That’s all you see.”
She looked over my things. On my right side, I carried A sword and a throwing stick.
On my left, there was a standard-issue sword and clothes given by the captain of the guards as an apology for the misunderstanding with the mafia. Also, I had 700,000 gold, which I’d gotten from Biltredd.
That was it.
“Is there a problem?”
“No problem, but it seems like you’ve packed really light for someone entering the academy. Are you a runaway teen?”
“Didn’t the General tell you about me?”
“I’m just carrying out the request I was given. I didn’t ask unnecessary questions.”
“You’re so like that.”
“…Do I know you?”
“Nope. And what do you mean ‘runaway teen’? I don’t have a home, family, or anything.”
I casually dropped that truth, and her face immediately stiffened.
She must’ve thought she was being rude.
“I-I’m sorry.”
Her reaction was kind of funny, so I didn’t bother correcting the misunderstanding.
“Do you know how to ride a horse?”
“I’ve done it once or twice. Just short distances. C-Can you speak casually, Senior?”
“I’m fine with it.”
“I’m not fine with it.”
“I’m fine.”
“……”
Fine, do it your way.
I chuckled.
It’s not like I could easily speak casually to a girl who was ten years younger than me.
It just wasn’t natural.
Maybe once I enrolled in the academy as a junior, she’d start speaking more casually then.
“We’ll leave immediately. Be careful not to move around carelessly inside the castle, or you might get mistaken for a demon.”
Etranger walked ahead.
On either side of her, the walls of an exotic fantasy world stretched out.
Before long, we arrived at the west gate of Tyrell Castle, where two trained horses were waiting for us.
“We’ll head straight through the Monster Forest to the Grimlor military training city. Normally, we’d take a detour, but the General requested we hurry, so if we get there before the weekend ends, you’ll be able to enroll before the next curriculum starts.”
I nodded.
I had some business in the Monster Forest anyway.
“It might be a little dangerous, but I’ll make sure we travel as safely as possible, so don’t worry.”
“Well, there’s a second-in-command from the 20th class here, so it should be fine.”
“Don’t be too complacent. We’ll ride to the entrance of the Monster Forest. Since you’re not experienced with horseback riding, it’ll be faster if we use one horse.”
Etranger briefly explained, then climbed onto her horse.
“Hold on tight. If you’re shy and hold onto me weakly, you might fall off and end up bending your back.”
“I’m not that much of a loser, don’t worry. This should be a reward in itself.”
“Pardon?”
“Nothing. Let’s go.”
I grabbed her hand and got on the horse, wrapping my arms around her waist. She kicked the horse’s side, and it sped up.
The more I clung tightly to endure the bumps on the horse, the more I noticed a strange scent coming from her back.
It was like the scent of cherry blossoms or acacia, tickling my nose.
“Don’t fidget. It’s ticklish.”
I reflexively pulled my nose away, almost falling off the horse.
“By the way… Did I ever say I was second in the 20th class?”
I pretended not to hear her next question.
