When the guard dog sees the two it runs toward them, and the Shinra officer follows the Guard dog toward them.

"Wha- hey! Hey!"

The guard dog ravenously ran towards Cloud, but the Storm swiftly jumped in the way of the attack from the dog.

The security officer took this window of opportunity to shoot at them but then out of nowhere a ball officer sent him flying, when he fell on his back he looked and saw the blonde with his arm outstretched with a small ball of fire on his hand.

The officer quickly tried to call for backup but was too late.

"Gah!"

The man fell to the floor instantly evaporating into strings of green energy and dispersed seeping into the ground.

Cloud turned around seeing the guard dog evaporate the same way as the security guard did, Storm then went and prayed for the people that they slayed that night.

They both quickly caught up to the group using the elevator going up with a path leading to a small ramp the group huddled by a gate.

A clatter was heard and they saw a side hole at the door big enough to crouch under; they all passed under but Biggs stopped when he saw what was coming their way.

" Woah there, you guys have company, you should deal with them first," Biggs said while running off.

With that said the two brothers turn to see 8 Shinra infantryman guns aimed at them with 3 guard dogs in the mix. The two brothers quickly glance at each other and quickly draw out their weapons.

Quickdraws of succession happen all at once.

The guard dogs pounced at them, but Storm shot at them with his twin pistols in the eyes of the dogs, making them miss and whine in pain.

The infantryman opens fire in a hail storm of bullets, Cloud steps in front and uses the Buster sword as a makeshift cover for the two of them.

The blonde instantly reached his back drawing out a pistol similar-looking compared to his Brother's but with hints of gold on the gun he then used his fire materia and amplified the firepower he shot causing one of the infantrymen to fall and disperse in green flames.

Storm uses his lightning materia, the lightning begins coursing through his twin pistols.

"Cloud throw it!"

Storm ordered out at his brother, Cloud not wasting any time with a quick flick from his wrist he sent the gun he had on hand flying to everyone's but Storm's confusion.

But then as if the world began to move slowly.

The barrel of the gun began to change into a sharp edge, it was breaking down and quickly rebuilding itself.

turning into a dagger and then digging itself deep into the skin and passing the bulletproof vest like a hot knife through butter with great ease.

Storm instantly shot at the dagger and to this effect, it caused the lightning to spread, around the surroundings of the stabbed infantryman when the lightning hit the dagger a chain effect of lightning struck the other Shinra infantryman causing them to be stunned.

The two took the chance and attacked, Storm quickly put the twin pistols together, and they both merged into one but it didn't turn into a submachine gun like before

it became a short sword.

The two in perfect unison charged and slashed at the infantryman causing them to dissolve.

The two were able to defeat the whole group instantly with the account of the guard dogs running away.

"That'll be a problem"

Muttered Cloud

"Cloud"

Storm called out to his older brother.

Cloud glanced at him, his brother gesturing to his blade.

He nodded in understanding.

Cloud tossed the gun towards him and a quick flash of light followed.

Storm Laid on the ground in his hands a sniper rifle looking through the scope, the two guard dogs running in the distance panting furiously, desperately running to survive.

Cloud his features no change not a twinge of hurry nothing showing him to tell to take the shot in hurry all there is, is nothing but calm serenity but looking closely showing in his eyes is a look of curiosity.

Storm in focus looking through the scope sees the dogs perfectly he could use two bullets easily to take down those two guard dogs but no that would be too easy it nah let's make it a little more interesting shall we.

One bullet is all he'll need.

His finger close to the trigger he waits, seeing the mutts running, one of them seems to run low on steam, the one he hurt earlier, Storm takes a deep breath, ignores everything around him just focusing on his two targets; it was as if the dogs were going 10 fps.

Seeing one wobble, it seemed like it was about to fall, Cloud glanced at his brother, nothing he didn't react he was relaxed focused, Cloud trusted his brothers judgement.

The dog quickly caught itself.

They were almost out.

The exit right in front of them they're so close in an act of desperation the one that was well and healthy jumped.

Storm squeezed the two dogs' fall slump turning to green dust in the air.

" hmpf show off"

Cloud couldn't help but comment.

" … says the guy trying to compensate for something with the sword."

They stay in a competitive silence, then Cloud (lightly) kicks his brother on the side making him cough.

"prick"

"Asshole"

Cloud outstretched his hand to him Storm accepted and was pulled up and picked up the sniper and with the flash of light returned Cloud's pistol.

"Stop being over dramatic i didn't hit you that hard"

Cloud walks away with Storm silently flipping him off from behind Cloud glances and Storm looks like nothing happened as they continue their way to the rest of the group.

With again another group of security officers.

"ugh come on this is just getting repetitive"

Storm groaned out a little too loudly making the whole group of security officers look at them.

Cloud annoyingly glanced at his brother then looking back at the security officers, with sword in hand he jumped to the fray with Storm behind him.

With quick & precise strikes from the buster sword and accurate shots from Storms twin pistols the two quickly and effortlessly mow down at the security guard's with great ease.

"I swear if there's any more of these guys behind that door"

The door opens Cloud, Storm, Barrett and Jessie stand behind railings looking down at the reactor core.

"down there, that's our target, the reactor's core."

"yeah we gotta set the bomb at the bottom"

The group makes their way to the core.

"oh man"

Barret muttered under his breath, Cloud being close to his vicinity still heard.

"What's wrong? not thinking of backing out now? Are ya?"

Cloud commented to Barret.

"like hell I'm turnin tail! it 's just my heart is beating so damn fast like a jackhammer with so much damn excitement. I've been dreaming about this happening for years"

Storm heard the man's declaration and could only smirk and call out to him.

" Then I guess we have to make this count. We only got one shot at this and we got no room to mess this up then."

Storm saying this made everyone more acknowledge how important and serious this moment is.

As they crossed the first bridge sentries came online and monodrives appeared.

"Guy's ambush"

" we got this Jessie don't worry"

With both Barret and Storm easily dealing with the monodrives shooting them down like they were nothing but cannon fodder.

"WOW"

Jessie was speechless when she saw the things mowed down so effortlessly, mostly Storm the mystery man mostly quiet but easily understood as to be more kinder than his brother but yet he still covers his upper part of his face with the hoodie really making her curious.

Continuing their way to the core Barret became curious about something.

"Hey you think if we fell in on all that mako, that we'd go down all the way to the bottom, to the planet's core?"

" No the pumps will suck us back up"

Cloud answered the man nonchalantly.

" hmph how comforting"

Barret said in a pessimistic tone.

They then begin to make their way to the core but for some reason Storm gets a gut feeling that something isn't the way it's supposed to.

"Jessie"

Storm calls to her.

"Yeah?"

" I think you should go back up if something doesn't go right"

" what you don't I'm damsel in distress do you"

She tried teasing him but she didn't get a reaction from.

" no it's not that I am confident in you taking care of yourself but we have to be careful both me and my brother have mako going through our veins giving us special abilities in both offense and defense, Barret seems like he can tank some hits especially from some explosives the seems superhuman really, and you"

" and what about me I can help"

"I know you can"

" Then what is this about?"

" it's just that I have a bad feeling about this"

Being told this Jessie looks around not seeing anything and she thinks that the guy must be paranoid.

"So it's best if you go back for now"

Storm said as he then followed both Barret and Cloud to the core.

Jessie was both confused and offended by what he said she decided to do her own thing and began to follow after the group to the core.

But then the entire reactor shook violently.

Everyone looked around but they saw nothing.

"Everyone back to back"

They all were standing in a circle back to back looking in every direction.

" What the hell is happening!?"

Barret yelled out confused.

"Earthquake?"

Jessie gave out a possible answer for what could possibly be happening.

"Not likely"

Cloud retorted.

Storm was thinking deeply but then something happened.

'Move'

Heard words within his mind not questioning what was going on with him he quickly turned around and jumped drop kicking Barret and pushing both Cloud and Jessie out of the way.

They were all confused as to why Storm did what he did but then they heard something fall where they all stood once before and Storm yells.

They turn seeing nothing but somehow Storm is floating in the air struggling up in the air but then something seems to come into vision.

" a scorpion sentinel"

Storm muttered in shocked surprise that the others got into a fighting stance.
