The Greece Antagonist

Chapter 287: Where are the teammates? Save me! (5.7k)_3

The frailty of life was so humble that, in this sudden catastrophe, even breathing was not permitted.

Lord of pleasure, grant your mercy once more.

All beings trembled, knelt, and prayed...

Yet this time, no one answered, the idols dim and without light.

In their bewilderment, they received an answer.

The supplicant who had answered their prayers and ascended to Olympus had perished.

An unprecedented sorrow boiled and burgeoned in the hearts of the weak, eventually brewing into sobs and wails.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

Thousands of purple and white thunderbolts exploded from cloud after cloud, meandering or striking vertically in the endless night sky, like dragons descending to the world.

Through the faint glow of lightning, one could see the surging turbid streams that had completely submerged the coastal lands, the Sea of Okeanos reaching a height of kilometers.

Hurricanes, one after another, swept diagonally across the surging waves, rolling and ravaging, connecting heaven and earth and reflecting densely with the lightning.

The clamor and strife in the heavens ultimately drowned out all the noise on earth.

In the deep darkness, the world seemed to fall into eternal isolation, and with the passage of time, it was continually twisted and altered by this epic divine battle.

The first day, light and darkness indistinguishable, day and night unbalanced;

The second day, the stars hidden, the sun and moon sunk;

The third day, the sky lost, the earth in chaos.

The thick etheric turbulence was visible to the naked eye, even humans within the protective barriers of the city struggled to breathe. Only the formidable thunderbolts traversed the sky.

Forests were burning, oceans boiling, mountains crumbling; the sun and moon were already lightless, the stars all falling, presenting a doomsday scene.

"It came too fast." The prophet shivered uncontrollably.

"Take up the sword and shield to protect yourself!" The ruler stood up fervently.

"It's already too late." The scholars resignedly accepted.

"But surely, there must still be a sliver of hope?" The living gathered in front of the temple, issuing confused and painful pleas.

At last, beneath the bricks and stones before the idols, they saw the young tendrils of grapevines peeking out.

—Why should the righteous suffer, trapped in peril; grant relief, and return to the flock.

The confused flock, like ants struggling in water, clung desperately to the leaf representing [hope], collectively blessing in the doomsday darkness.

"Lord of Paradise.

You are my shepherd, I shall not want.

You make me lie down in green pastures, you lead me beside quiet waters.

You restore my soul, you lead me in paths of righteousness for your name's sake.

Your rod and your staff, they comfort me.

Lord of Paradise.

When you sing, light rises for you,

When you bleed, impurity competes to cleanse,

As brethren whisper, your gospel is heard afar,

From which fine wine springs, the trinity is one.

Lord of Paradise.

Turn your gaze to the radiant beyond, join this heavenly feast,

The world is a ball, where laughter continues until the end.

Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil;

For you are with me there!"

...

At last, a beam of light ignited on Mount Olympus, piercing through the darkness, announcing the end of this prolonged night.

In the sky, Titans and Typhon's demon army, almost materializing, uncontrollably disintegrated as if facing a natural enemy. Their authorities became the foundation to refill the voids of the world, while their consciousnesses were dragged back into the Tartarus Hell deep beneath the sea by an invisible force.

And the remaining divine seals, under the casting of the light, turned into a golden giant egg.

"Chirp!"

Accompanied by faint, crisp birdsong, a heartbeat-like thumping emanated from inside the gigantic egg.

And with each cycle, it brought earth-shattering changes to the world.

The first time, day and night were divided, the four seasons moved.

The second time, the heavens were sealed, and the stars were lit,

The third time, the waters were divided above and below, the raging waves receded, the continents emerged, and the cities were preserved.

"Click!"

A crisp tremor came from the heavens as the gigantic egg cracked open, and a figure, resembling a gem, emerged with golden wings shining brightly on its back.

Only at this moment did the trembling lambs within the high walls and temples fully believe that disaster had subsided and the world was at peace.

In their joy, they wept quietly, celebrating together the life after a calamity.

~~

At the same time, inside a cave.

"Buzz!"

A buzzing, twelve-sided die flew from Athena's hand, piercing directly through the belly of Mount Olympus, shooting upwards.

The Goddess of Wisdom suddenly opened her eyes and immediately summoned the Aegis Shield and the Spear of Victory, stepped out of the defensive charm, and spoke solemnly,

"The time has come, up the mountain!"

The recently rested gods were thrilled and immediately rushed out of the cave, transforming into streaks of light heading toward the summit of Mount Olympus.

Amid a field of burning firelight, a familiar figure stood tall, his smile as warm as the breeze.

"Luo En!"

Artemis cried out in delighted surprise, almost wishing she could throw herself into the arms of her lover who had revived from death.

Faced with the ardent Goddess of the Hunt, Luo En could only give her a comforting look and then turned his head toward the ruin in front of him.

The three Hundred-Handed Giants had almost turned into bare mountains of flesh, unable to rise up;

The God of Berserkers, Ares, was a blurry mess of blood and flesh, slowly self-healing;

The Sea King, Poseidon, turned into a mass of gelatinous seawater, struggling to move;

And the final figure, though equally battered, was still clutching the Aegis Shield and could barely stand.

Seeing this, Luo En cursed silently in his heart.

Damn it, that's outrageous!

First, he was battered by seven rebellious chief gods;

Then, he was unexpectedly exploded in the face;

Finally, he was beaten by a multitude of Titan Gods and Typhon's Demon Army for three days and nights; and now, this old fellow could still hop around?

You have to understand, though those Titan Gods and Typhon's Demon Army were initially just Ethereals holding a small part of the consciousness and Divinity, not very powerful.

But with his death, and Hecate's imprisonment, the Dream World of the Elysian Fields lost the support of Chance's divine power and could no longer restrain their true selves. Thus, these Old Gods, over time, would gradually break free, regaining their former strength and Authority.

And within these three days, the entire world would also show signs of collapsing as they were liberated.

Because those separated Authorities and flesh of the Old Gods were the cornerstone for constructing and perfecting the new world. Once the cornerstone was removed, the world would also inevitably fall apart.

According to Hecate, the original Prison Warden, without restrictions, they could form a physical entity with remarkable combat abilities from Ethereals in just three days; in a maximum of seven days, they could regain their peak strength, completely severing the shackles from the Dream World.

Therefore, Typhon's Demon Army and the Titan Gods could be used as a force, but they could not truly be relied upon.

Even so, these Old Gods, upon whom he had placed great hopes, still failed to explode Zeus's Gold Coin within the limited time.

Indeed, as Hecate had said, Zeus, with the Heaven's Mandate Protection, was nearly an invincible BUG, an utterly undefeatable King of All Gods. To defeat him, one would have to completely strip away his aura of Fate.

In a whirlwind of thoughts, Luo En made up his mind and, smiling, looked up toward the sky behind Zeus.

Among the thunderclouds, three goddesses stood side by side in soft, sheer gowns. One held a thread, one a ruler, and one scissors, their profound eyes coldly surveying the Mortal World, aloof and mysterious.

—Clotho, who spins the thread of Life; Lachesis, who allocates the length of life; and Atropos, who cuts the thread of life.

It was indeed the legendary Three Fates, and their presence was the true reason behind Zeus's turning of defeat into victory.

In the world of Divine Era Greece, there was a common understanding that the Three Fates' authority surpassed all others; neither gods nor humans could defy them. Even though Zeus was the King of All Gods who ruled everything under the heavens, his own Fate was manipulated by these three goddesses and was not entirely within his own control.

The same was true for Typhon's Demon Army and the Titan Gods; in the face of "inevitable Fate," they could only accept their inevitable defeat.

Looking at the three pivotal masterminds finally taking the stage, Luo En's face lit up with a brilliant smile.

"So, shall we talk, ladies?"
