The Great Martial Saint!

Chapter 12: Chapter 12

The panel displayed today was different from usual. In Chen Ping'an's field of vision, at the very end of the martial arts section, a plus sign appeared.

"It really can be upgraded!"

Chen Ping'an suppressed the excitement in his heart, emptied his mind, focused his spirit, and clicked on the plus sign.

Whoosh—

As the plus sign was clicked, the 5 experience points in front of him underwent a magical transformation.

Bit by bit, the experience turned into tiny specks of starlight, which drifted towards Chen Ping'an's forehead.

As the starlight entered his body, at first, Chen Ping'an only felt a wave of refreshing coolness, making his mind incredibly clear. Then, streams of complex information surged into his brain.

This information contained insights into practicing Iron Cloth. The complex information was instantly understood and absorbed by Chen Ping'an, as if he had entered a state of absolute focus.

Every bit of training knowledge didn't seem to come from nowhere—it felt as though he had accumulated it step by step through diligent practice.

Training in the bitter cold of winter, enduring the scorching heat of summer!

For a moment, Chen Ping'an felt as if he had been practicing Iron Cloth for months. Every training session was carried out with the most precise postures, and every recovery session was supplemented with the most suitable medicines, ensuring that no hidden injuries or internal damage were left behind.

Everything followed the most correct training methods, progressing at the most appropriate pace, steadily advancing on the path of Iron Cloth cultivation.

**Name**: Chen Ping'an

**Realm**: Blood and Qi Level One

**Martial Arts**: Iron Cloth – Beginner (0/15)

"Blood and Qi Level One!"

A sharp gleam seemed to flash in Chen Ping'an's eyes.

Not only had he entered the beginner stage of Iron Cloth, but he had also officially stepped onto the path of martial arts cultivation!

The path of martial arts was incredibly difficult!

Ordinary people, without proper guidance, could practice for months and still struggle to get started. Moreover, forcing oneself to train blindly could lead to hidden injuries, making it highly risky.

And yet… he had entered the beginner stage?!

From the day before yesterday until today, he had practiced Iron Cloth for a total of three days.

And in just three days, he had stepped onto the path of martial arts cultivation?

Only three days…

Although he had mentally prepared for this, now that it had actually happened, Chen Ping'an still felt a strong sense of disbelief.

In just three days, I went from an ordinary person to a Blood and Qi Level One martial artist.

This speed is simply outrageous! And…

This isn't where my journey ends—it's only just beginning!

Chen Ping'an's heart pounded with excitement.

He could practice Iron Cloth twice a day, gaining 2 experience points each time. According to the panel, reaching the Small Accomplishment stage of Iron Cloth required 15 experience points, meaning he could achieve it in just seven and a half days.

With this, he could completely master Iron Cloth within the ten-day deadline given by Little Tiger Lord!

This greatly reduced the risks of his plan and increased his chances of success!

Inside the small courtyard, Chen Ping'an took quite a while to calm his excitement.

He carefully observed the changes in his body. Removing his close-fitting clothes, he noticed that his skin appeared particularly smooth, as if it hadn't just gone through rigorous training.

"This breakthrough also comes with a full recovery effect?"

Chen Ping'an was secretly overjoyed—he had discovered yet another hidden function of his golden finger.

He tried lightly pounding his body with his fist and found that even though his upper body was bare, it felt as if he were hitting clothing.

Chen Ping'an's eyes lit up. The effects of Iron Cloth at the beginner level seemed quite impressive!

Next, he increased the force of his punches. As the strength increased, he began to feel some pain, but compared to before learning Iron Cloth, the pain was significantly reduced.

"So that's how it is!"

Chen Ping'an nodded in understanding.

The effect of Iron Cloth at the beginner level was equivalent to wearing a thick, form-fitting piece of clothing—it greatly reduced the damage from punches, kicks, and palms. As for weapons… well, it was better than nothing.

The difference between having and not having Iron Cloth was like the difference between cutting into tofu and cutting into dried tofu.

Besides his skin's changes, Chen Ping'an also felt that his strength had increased significantly. However, without precise testing, he couldn't determine exactly how much stronger he had become.

Still, perhaps due to the influence of his golden finger, his physique and skin showed no visible changes.

"At the very least, I can definitely beat two of my previous selves now!"

Finally, Chen Ping'an came to this conclusion.

After experiencing the physical changes brought by stepping onto the martial path, Chen Ping'an didn't bother to wipe his body. Instead, he put his clothes back on, wrapped them tightly around himself, and continued practicing Iron Cloth.

Normally, with his physique and training condition, he wouldn't be able to complete a second Iron Cloth session so soon.

However, thanks to his golden finger, he had fully recovered upon reaching the beginner level. Not taking advantage of this loophole to continue training would be unacceptable.

Half an hour later—

The familiar "+1 experience" notification appeared again.

**Name**: Chen Ping'an

**Realm**: Blood and Qi Level One

**Martial Arts**: Iron Cloth – Beginner (1/15)

Seeing the "1" appear on the panel, Chen Ping'an was thoroughly satisfied.

"At this rate, in another seven days, I'll be able to reach Small Accomplishment in Iron Cloth."

**The next morning—**

Chen Ping'an woke up early and immediately started training in Iron Cloth. After half an hour, he successfully increased his experience from 1 to 2.

After wiping his body and having breakfast with Chen Er'ya, he set off for the South Spring Alley's Town Patrol Division.

"Ping'an."

Houzi had arrived early and waved at Chen Ping'an from a corner. Beside him, Da Shan was also present.

Even though Chen Ping'an had woken up early to train in Iron Cloth, he still arrived slightly later than usual. However, it wasn't a big issue since he hadn't missed roll call.

At this moment, many of the regular patrol officers and official constables had yet to arrive.

"I should come even earlier next time."

Chen Ping'an secretly reminded himself.

Although he had now stepped onto the martial path and gained a tiny bit of ability, compared to the rules of the Town Patrol Division, he was still as insignificant as an ant.

"What's going on today?"

Walking up to Houzi and Da Shan, Chen Ping'an noticed that today's atmosphere seemed different from usual and asked curiously.

Normally, the constables would stand around in small scattered groups, but today, a large number of them were gathering in the center.

"Ping'an, you don't know yet?"

Houzi raised his eyebrows, smiling smugly.

"What happened?"

Chen Ping'an looked toward the center and saw that the gathered constables were faintly surrounding a young man, though he couldn't make out his face.

"Call me 'big brother,' and I'll tell you!"

Houzi teased, enjoying the moment. Scenes like this were rare, so he naturally wanted to take advantage of it.

"If you won't tell me, then forget it."

Knowing that Houzi was just joking, Chen Ping'an wasn't annoyed but also didn't give in to his demand.

Houzi's face stiffened.

Seeing that Chen Ping'an wasn't pretending to be indifferent while secretly itching with curiosity, but was instead genuinely uninterested, Houzi suddenly felt an unbearable itch of his own.
