The Golem Mage

Chapter 315: The Chase Part 3.

"Listen to me, all of you, You will not under any circumstances disobey my orders. Do you understand?, This is a direct order. Get to the gates safely, and we will be right behind you. Have I ever broken a promise to any of you before?"

"Don’t forget, my word is bond,"

Alec emphasized, ensuring their agreement to never stray from his plan and dash for the city gates, If they were to deviate from it, all of his careful planning would go up in smoke.

He then turned his attention towards the twins.

"And as for you two, don’t even think about disobeying me this time. Trust me, I would personally ensure that I kill you before I ever fight against the bastard chasing me. You are Tier 4 mages, for God’s sake. Show some backbone,"

Alec taunted them making Gabriel snorted in response, while Grace looked worried but determined.

"Now!"

Alec shouted, prompting everyone to turn and face the Orc chief along with the Root just a few meters away.

The rest of the group continued dashing towards the city gates.

As soon as Alec stopped, he summoned his golems: Titan, Legion, Hive Queen, Tempest Butcher, and Oni.

He believed they would be the fastest and most useful in the upcoming battle.

The twins’ faces turned serious as they witnessed the approaching horde.

"We are not looking for a draining battle here. Intercept them and retreat, no matter what tactics you use. Just don’t fall behind. And one last thing, those two bastards are mine,"

Alec declared, unsheathing his Blood Changdao and Bone Katana as he dashed forward, with Legion and Titan following closely behind.

The remaining golems remained behind, forming a defensive line.

While Agnes focused on casting a large barrier spell to restrict the Orcs and plants Lifeforms to a narrow passage.

The strain of the spell was evident on her, but James placed his hand on her shoulder, transferring some of his Mana to help alleviate her burden.

Gradually, a blue tint resembling a tattoo appeared on Agnes’ hands and moved across her body.

As Her own spirit equipment enveloped her, providing her with a surge of energy.

With the new abundance of mana at her disposal, Agnes shouted as she did her best to erect a long stone platform around the approaching army, leaving only a narrow path for them to pass through.

As Agnes finished manipulating the surroundings to turn the tide in their favor and avoid being overwhelmed by the countless dimensional creatures they faced, Alec finally closed the distance and engaged the Orc chief and the Root.

The Orc chief swung his battle axe at Alec without any hesitation, disregarding formalities.

Having witnessed Alec giving orders to the other mages who had fled with the bag of power stones, the Orc chief understood that Alec was the group’s leader, and he was determined to eliminate Alec in order to reclaim the resources.

Although he had promised the Root that he would not harm Alec and leave him, But the Orc chief had only said that in the heat of the moment,

fully aware that he needed to be on the same page as the Root if he wanted an easier time dealing with Alec.

Before the battle Axe could make contact, an Ice Mace clashed with it, shattering in the process.

Capitalizing on the momentum of the attack, the Orc chief executed a sweep that sent Titan flying with a strike from the blunt edge of his axe.

However, as he attempted to advance, he was met with three spear thrusts.

Snorting with confidence, he allowed the spears to strike his chest, relying on his sturdy battle armor.

Much to his surprise, he was pushed back by the sheer force behind the spear attacks.

Looking up, he realized that he had underestimated the powers of the two Tier 2 golem creation he was facing.

Meanwhile, Alec found himself engaged in a fierce sword fight with the Root.

As wooden swords were flying through the air from all angles,, overwhelming Alec with their relentless onslaught.

The Root’s mastery over the flying wooden swords was on a completely different level, making Alec feel as if he were facing countless sword experts.

If it weren’t for his experience fighting many enemies during the blood moon and his utilization of Sword Saint’s "Sword Mastery skill " and his own "Blade Mastery skill ," he would have been plagued by numerous injuries.

The Orc chief clenched his teeth and understood that he needed to take the golems seriously ands finish them up, if he wanted to stand a chance against the Root in who eliminate Alec first ,

and retrieve his Nature Low Tier power stones, while doing so.

His determination to recover the power stones stemmed from his knowledge that once Alec’s group had discovered such a massive supply of power stones, the other Human mages would put two into two

And would soon flock to the region in search of the mines, where such a gain has been made.

The Orc chief knew that he wouldn’t be able to keep the mine to himself if such ever happens, as even the Mid-Tier villages would realize that he was hoarding such valuable resources.

With his current power, he couldn’t contend with a mid-tier village Powerhouses yet , so his only option was to eradicate Alec’s group and eliminate any evidence.

While he would have preferred to kill the Root as well, he knew it was impossible with only a hundred wolf rider Orcs at his disposal.

If a full-blown battle were to erupt between him and the Root, the outcome of the result was clear as he would lose.

Thus, as long as he didn’t have his full army, he had to restrain himself from making impulsive moves.

Attempting to dash forward and finish off Legion, the Orc chief realized that he couldn’t move.

When he looked down, he discovered that his legs had been clamped in ice, although he didn’t feel any coldness, which struck him as bizarre.

"Number 1 warning, never look down when fighting against us," Legion’s voice echoed in his ears as he thrust forward with his laser spear, emitting a vibrant light capable of obliterating anything in its path.

The Orc chief roared loudly, using Qi to create sound waves that shot towards Legion, simultaneously surrounding his legs with Qi to break free from the temporary imprisonment Titan had imposed on him.

While attempting to rotate his massive battle axe, the Orc chief’s rhythm was disrupted by a missile shot from Legion’s shoulder, causing him to pause momentarily.

Taking advantage of this opening, Legion managed to penetrate deep into the armor, but was unable to pierce through the skin as the Orc chief tightly gripped the spear with his right hand, halting its progress.

The Orc chief’s hand was drenched in blood as heat radiated from his grip on the spear.

Legion struggled to retract it, but failed, only to be kicked forcefully in the chest, sending him flying in the opposite direction.

Observing the outcome, the Orc chief snorted, confused as to how the golem had managed to inflict such a serious injury, had now been easily taken down,

he couldn’t comprehend the reason behind it,so he attributed it to a minor breakthrough due to the intense pressure of the fight.

Unbeknownst to him, the laser spear enhanced the deadliness of Legion’s attack, and as a result of it being forcefully yanked from his hand while he was sent flying,

he missed out on some of the additional attributed points the spear offered.

Ignorantly tossing the spear aside, the Orc chief felt a chill wrap around him as Titan’s cold arm wrapped around his waist.

Titan exerted his strength, attempting to lift the Orc chief and execute a suplex, but the Orc chief used his Qi to increase his weight, thwarting Titan’s plan.

He forcefully pushed his head backward, headbutting Titan in the process, before swiftly turning and swinging his Battle Axe at him.

In response, Titan quickly cast a substantial ice shield, blocking the attack, Enraged at having his attack blocked once again, the Orc chief relentlessly hammered the ice shield with his axe until it shattered.
