The God of Ice and Fire at Hogwarts

Chapter 76: Just a rat or a sparrow!

Soon, with the cooperation of the four of them, the chess pieces were reduced to fragments scattered all over the floor.

"Go!" Harry shouted.

They quickly passed through this room and reached the third one.

There was only an unconscious troll in this room. They didn't stay longer but pinched their noses and held their breath before entering the next room.

When the four of them entered this room, purple and black flames instantly rose at the entrance and exit of the room. On a table in front of them, there were seven bottles of potions in strange shapes.

Next to these potions was a scroll of parchment.

Irina opened the scroll and read the words it contained.

"The danger is before you, the safety is behind you,

We are two who can help you.

Drink them, one will move you forward,

The other will send you back to where you came from.

Two contain nettle wine,

Three are killers, waiting in line.

Choose, unless you want to stay here forever.

We also give you four clues to help you choose:

First, no matter how cleverly the poison hides,

It is actually all to the left of the nettle wine;

Second, the contents of the bottles at both the left and right ends are different.

Neither will work for you if you want to move forward;

Third, you'll notice that the bottles are of different sizes,

And there's no death hidden in the giants or the dwarfs;

Fourth, second from the left and second from the right,

Though they look different, the taste is the same."

Looking at the text inside, Hermione stroked her chin and said, "Obviously, this is a riddle."

Irina said bluntly: "The smallest bottle contains the potion that can pass through the black flames, and the bottle at the far right contains the potion that can send you back!"

Hermione looked at Irina in surprise. It was true, her best friend was incredible!

But at that moment, Harry took the potion from the far right and frowned again: "But there are only two doses left in this potion, which means two person must remain here."

Upon hearing this, everyone fell silent.

Irina suddenly spoke: "Harry, can you show me the potion that passes through the black flame?"

"Here," Harry handed Irina the smallest potion bottle without hesitation.

"Fire-Resistance Potion!" Irina leaned close to the mouth of the bottle, sniffed the scent inside with a fan-like motion, and judged.

"Hey," Irina whispered, reaching into her left-hand pocket, "I remember I still have some in stock!"

After speaking, Irina took out a small bottle from her pocket. After opening it, the scent inside was exactly the same as the one from the Fire-Resistance Potion bottle.

"Irina, wasn't your Potions class bad?" Harry was a bit surprised.

Irina rolled her eyes and said: "Please, even if I'm biased and not good at Potions, I still manage to get an 'Outstanding' in the final exam!"

Harry stayed silent for a moment.

After examining the potion in her hand, Irina felt a little regretful: "Unfortunately, my Fire-Resistance Potion is only enough for one person, which means one of us has to go back and inform the professor."

After hearing this, Ron hesitated and volunteered: "I'll go! I know my magical level is the worst among us four, so I won't hold you back."

Ron took the potion from the far right.

Irina nodded at him and encouraged: "Believe in yourself, Ron. Actually, informing the professor is the most important task for us. After all, it's related to whether we can make it out alive!"

Ron nodded vigorously, took the potion, and went through the purple flames.

Irina, Hermione, and Harry took the Fire-Resistance Potions and passed through the black flames at the exit.

After passing through the black flames, the three of them reached the final room.

Upon entering, Harry saw Quirrell in front of the Mirror of Erised.

"How is this possible, it really is you?! I thought..."

Harry was astonished.

He had always suspected Professor Snape, but after Snape had eliminated the suspicion, Harry hadn't been willing to believe that Quirrell was the culprit.

But unexpectedly, what Irina said turned out to be true!

"Use that boy! Use that boy!"

At that moment, a voice came from the back of Quirrell's head, which was terrifying.

"Yes, Master... Potter, come here!"

Quirrell waved his wand, and the debris on the floor transformed into countless ropes that bound Harry.

"Expelliarmus!"

Irina raised her hand and cast a disarming spell, forcing Quirrell to cancel the spell and retreat.

"Trash! Knock out those two troublesome ones first!"

The voice of Voldemort came.

Quirrell nodded, waved his wand quickly, and cast spells toward Irina and Hermione.

"Protego!"

Hermione cast the Shield Charm in an attempt to block Quirrell's attack.

However, Hermione seemed to have underestimated Quirrell's spellcasting abilities. After all, Quirrell's usual mishaps in class made it hard to consider him a skilled wizard.

One spell broke through Hermione's shield, hitting her with force.

Hermione was thrown back several meters and slammed into the stone wall, knocking her unconscious.

"Victory!"

Seeing that a team member was down from the beginning of the battle, Irina suddenly felt troubled.

With Hermione unconscious and Harry bound by magical ropes in subsequent spells, Irina was left to fight Quirrell alone.

Even if Lynn and Irina were together, they might not be able to defeat Quirrell, let alone Irina by herself.

There was no doubt that in just a few rounds, Irina was hit by a Disarming Charm and her wand flew out of her hand.

Though Irina still had the ability to cast spells without a wand, she decided to pretend to be defeated and fell to the ground, struggling with all her might.

It's up to you, Harry!

Irina faked feeling so much pain she couldn't get up, but her eyes were fixed on Quirrell.

No one knew if Quirrell would kill her with a final blow without practicing martial ethics!

Even if she wanted to act, she had to be prepared.

Fortunately, Quirrell's desire for the Philosopher's Stone was greater than his wish to kill Irina. He tied Harry with magical ropes and forced him to look at the Mirror of Erised.

After a while, Harry saw himself holding the Philosopher's Stone in the Mirror of Erised. Then he felt his pocket become heavier, and the red-glowing Philosopher's Stone truly fell into his pocket!

Realizing that Harry had obtained the Philosopher's Stone, Quirrell untied his turban, revealing the strange face of Voldemort.

Voldemort had once again possessed Quirrell, looking at Harry with a smile, trying to snatch the Philosopher's Stone from Harry's hand.

Bang! Bang! Bang! ...

But at that critical moment, three shots were heard in quick succession.

Three bloody holes appeared on Quirrell's back, and the violent impact forced Quirrell to lunge forward and fall into the mud.

"But how can a rat or a sparrow be worthy of staining the proud work of the master?!"

Lynn walked slowly from the entrance, casting a cold glance at everything around him. In his left hand, smoke rose from the mouth of a desert eagle, glowing faintly.

The surrounding black flames parted on both sides as they felt Lynn's arrival, making way for him. These black flames seemed very tall, as if welcoming their new king.
