The God of Ice and Fire at Hogwarts

Chapter 53: Quirrell start to act!

The Quidditch match had already started when Lynn sat down in the seat that Malfoy had saved for him.

Members of the Gryffindor and Slytherin Quidditch teams were seen surrounding Madam Hooch, who acted as the referee. After hearing Madam Hooch's reminder, everyone mounted their brooms.

Harry stepped onto his Nimbus 2000. Among all the flying brooms, his Nimbus 2000 was the best.

Fifteen broomsticks rose into the sky, distributed across various spots on the Quidditch field.

"The Quaffle has been immediately snatched by Angelina Johnson of Gryffindor. That girl is an excellent Chaser, and she's quite charming as well..."

Lee Jordan, the young Gryffindor wizard who acted as the commentator for the match, shouted loudly from the commentary box.

"JORDAN!"

Professor McGonagall, who was standing next to Lee Jordan, immediately shouted sternly.

"Sorry, Professor." Lee Jordan shrunk his neck and explained as usual: "She was really flying right over there, and made a beautiful pass to Alicia Spinnet!"

"She was a talent discovered by Oliver Wood, who was only a substitute last year... The ball passed to Johnson again, and then... Wow, the Slytherin team snatched the Quaffle, and Slytherin's captain, Marcus Flint, grabbed the Quaffle and took off! Flint flew like an eagle after it... He was about to score... No, Gryffindor's goalkeeper, Wood, made a beautiful move and stopped the shot!"

Lee Jordan explained passionately, and the atmosphere grew more exciting with every word he said.

At that moment, the player holding the Quaffle on the field was Katie Bell, the Chaser for Gryffindor's Quidditch team. She was flying agilely around Flint, trying to find an opportunity to shoot.

But just then, a Bludger hit Katie Bell in the back of the head, causing Adrian Pusey from the Slytherin Quidditch team to steal the Quaffle from her hands. He rushed toward the goalposts, but was knocked down by another Bludger.

At that moment, Fred Weasley hit the Bludger aside, and Angelina Johnson of Gryffindor's Quidditch team recovered the Quaffle. There was no resistance in front of her, and she quickly sped toward Slytherin's goalposts. She dodged an incoming Bludger, bypassed the Slytherin goalkeeper, Blake, and shot the Quaffle through the goalposts.

Madam Hooch immediately blew her whistle, announcing that Gryffindor had scored.

This caused the little lions in the Gryffindor camp to cheer.

The roars of Gryffindor's cubs echoed in the cold air, mixed with the hissing and groaning of the little serpents.

After Angelina Johnson scored for Gryffindor, Harry, who was high in the sky, happily controlled his Nimbus 2000 and did a somersault to express his joy.

As the Seeker for the Gryffindor team, Harry could enjoy the flight without worries. After all, he had nothing to do until the Golden Snitch appeared.

In the commentary box, Lee Jordan continued to comment excitedly: "The Slytherin team has the ball! Chaser Sepp ducked his head to avoid two Bludgers, and then another Bludger from the Weasley twins knocked it away… Wait, what's that?"

Lee Jordan's words stopped for a moment, and then he exploded into even more excited emotions.

He saw a golden light fly past Adrian Sepp's left ear, the Chaser for the Slytherin Quidditch team, during the Quidditch match.

The appearance of the Golden Snitch immediately fired up the atmosphere in the stadium. Students from both schools waved their flags and cheered for their Seeker or for the team they supported.

As the Seeker, Harry was naturally the first to spot the Golden Snitch. He steered his Nimbus 2000 and dove, chasing the golden light.

Not far behind, Terrence Higgs, the Seeker for Slytherin's Quidditch team, also saw the Golden Snitch. He and Harry flew toward it almost side by side in this tense moment. The two Quidditch teams seemed to have forgotten their primary objective, floating in the air, watching the chase between Harry and Higgs.

Though Higgs had more experience, Harry's Nimbus 2000 created a significant advantage in terms of equipment.

At that moment, Harry could already see the tiny wings of the Golden Snitch fluttering, and he suddenly increased his speed again.

But just then, the Slytherin Quidditch team displayed its infamous lack of sportsmanship. Their captain, Marcus Flint, deliberately controlled his broom to knock into Harry, causing him to fall.

This blatantly illegal action earned Flint a reprimand from Madam Hooch, and the Gryffindor cubs below responded with cheers for Flint's mother.

Madam Hooch, acting as the referee, ordered Gryffindor to take a free shot in front of the goalposts. However, the Golden Snitch had once again disappeared in the chaos.

At the highest row of Gryffindor's camp, Dean Thomas, who came from a regular family, shouted loudly: "Kick him out! Referee! Red card!"

Ron, standing nearby, recalled, "This isn't football, Dean. In a Quidditch match, you can't expel anyone... By the way, what's a red card?"

When Dean explained what a red card was, Lee Jordan, also a Gryffindor, grew furious.

"After the obvious and despicable foul from earlier..." Lee Jordan said angrily.

"JORDAN!" But Professor McGonagall, who was always fair, warned him.

Lee Jordan reworded his statement: "I mean, after the disgusting and detestable behavior earlier..."

Professor McGonagall growled, "Jordan, let me remind you…"

Lee Jordan had no choice but to pause in frustration. After organizing his words, he spoke again: "Alright, alright. Flint almost injured Gryffindor's Seeker. I think everyone can agree with that, so Gryffindor gets a free shot."

Though Lee Jordan rephrased his words twice, his words still earned approval from Irina in the stands.

As the game continued, something suddenly happened to Harry. After Harry controlled the Nimbus 2000 to dodge a Bludger, his broom suddenly started bucking, flying rapidly and shaking as if it wanted to throw him off.

Harry gripped the broomstick tightly with both hands and held onto the handle with his knees. He had never been so scared in his life.

At the same time, two figures in the Gryffindor and Slytherin camps suddenly stood up, their eyes both focused in the direction of the teacher's chair.

Quirrell was starting to act !

Those thoughts appeared simultaneously in Lynn and Irina's minds.
