The God of Ice and Fire at Hogwarts

Chapter 244: The Oscar statuette belongs to Snape

"You are one of the smartest little witches I have ever met, Hermione," Professor Lupin remained calm in the face of Hermione's accusations, "but I did not help Sirius. If you give me a chance, I can explain. Sirius!"

Professor Lupin gestured to Sirius, who nodded slightly and threw the wands of Harry and the other two back into their hands.

Harry caught the wand in disbelief. He couldn't imagine that Sirius would actually return his wand to him. What on earth did he want to do? To humiliate him? !

Professor Lupin put away his wand and said calmly: "Now you have weapons, but I don't. Are you willing to listen to me?"

Harry glanced at Professor Lupin hesitantly. Out of the corner of his eye, he saw Irina still standing next to Sirius. Even Irina stood on Black's side. Could there really be something hidden? !

Although his previous anger made Harry subconsciously think that Irina had betrayed them, after reason gradually returned to his mind, he recalled what Irina had done and his trust in the big sister made him rethink the truth of the matter.

Finally, Harry nodded slightly.

So Sirius stood up and told him about how he had suggested James to change the secret-keeper of the Fidelius Charm to Peter Pettigrew, and how Peter Pettigrew betrayed James and put the blame on himself.

"Everyone thought Sirius killed Peter, but in fact, Peter is still alive. This is Peter Pettigrew, an Animagus in mouse form!"

Professor Lupin took over the conversation and pointed at the rat, who was slowly waking up after being knocked to the ground by Irina from the alchemy cage.

It was only then that Ron discovered Scabbers at Irina's feet. He exclaimed, "Scabbers! You're crazy! You're all crazy! It's obviously my mouse, how could it be an Animagus?!"

Even Hermione agreed with a trembling voice: "Yes, Professor Lupin... Scabbers can't be Peter Pettigrew... It's impossible, you know it's impossible..."

"Why not?" Professor Lupin asked calmly, as if they were still in a Defense Against the Dark Arts class.

"Because... because if Peter Pettigrew was an Animagus, people would know it. We learned about Animagus in Professor McGonagall's class, and I looked up information when I was doing my homework. The Ministry of Magic keeps records of wizards who can transform into animals. There are registers showing what animals they can transform into, and there are marks and so on... I looked up Professor McGonagall in the register. There are only seven Animagus in this century, and Peter Pettigrew's name is not on the list..."

Hermione said this, she strongly disagreed with what Professor Lupin said.

Hearing this, Professor Lupin chuckled and said, "You are right, Hermione, but you don't know that there are more Animagus in the world who have not been registered with the Ministry of Magic. In other words, unless they want to be professors and need to show their Animagus form to their students, most Animagus prefer to use it as their trump card and are unwilling to register with the Ministry of Magic. Perhaps I should let Irina explain this to you."

As he spoke, Professor Lupin turned his gaze towards Irina.

Hearing Professor Lupin's words, Irina looked at Professor Lupin in surprise. She didn't understand how Professor Lupin discovered that she was an Animagus.

In fact, when Lynn and Irina went to bury the crystal vial on the full moon, they were so excited and focused on their Animagus practice that they did not notice Professor Lupin passing by dozens of meters away and was about to go to the Shrieking Shack to transform.

It was on that day that Professor Lupin learned that the two were trying Animagus training.

Although Professor Lupin did not witness the transformation of the two, given Lynn and Irina's intelligence and magical level, he had no doubt that they would succeed.

"Professor Lupin is right, Hermione, because I am an illegal Animagus."

Irina's beautiful icy blue eyes stared at Hermione as she spoke softly.

Irina suddenly leaped forward, her body shrank rapidly in the air, and when she landed on the ground, she had already taken the form of a snow fox.

"This... is incredible. Irina, when did you..."

Seeing the extremely cute snow fox on the ground, Hermione covered her mouth, her eyes full of shock.

At this time, Irina had already transformed back into her original body. She returned to her original position as if nothing had happened. She glanced at Professor Lupin and said, "Now that the necessary explanations have been given, it is time to present the final evidence to Harry and the others and let Peter Pettigrew return to his original form."

As Irina was speaking, the door of the Shrieking Shack opened and closed unconsciously, but no one noticed this abnormality except Irina who subconsciously glanced over there.

Hearing Irina's words, Professor Lupin nodded. He walked forward and planned to use the Animagus counter-spell to force Peter Pettigrew back to his original form.

"Don't move! A werewolf, a criminal, and a little witch who is known as a genius are actually hanging out together. Haha, this is really interesting!"

At this moment, a cold voice suddenly came from behind Harry and the others.

Severus Snape took off his invisibility cloak and pointed the wand in his hand at Professor Lupin, forcing the other party not to act rashly. He swept his cold eyes over everyone.

Professor Snape threw the invisibility cloak aside and said in a sarcastic tone: "I found this under the Whomping Willow. It's very useful, Potter, I have to thank you..."

"I think Hogwarts Castle can no longer accommodate a werewolf like you, Lupin. And you, Black, I think the Dementors would love to give you a kiss!"

Professor Snape's tone was cold. When they heard his words, Professor Lupin and Sirius both turned pale.

At this moment, Harry suddenly stood up, staring at Snape's eyes with a firm gaze: "No, you can't do this! There may be hidden truths. If we don't investigate it clearly, then we may have wrongly accused a good person!"

Professor Snape sneered and said, "Wrongly accuse a good person? Oh, don't let me try to figure out the psychology of werewolves and criminals. Get out of the way, Potter!"

Facing Professor Snape's order, Harry shouted fearlessly: "You are so pitiful. Just because they teased you in school, you didn't even want to..."

Harry's words were like lighting a powder keg. Snape's expression turned crazy. "Shut up, don't talk to me like that! Like father, like son, Potter! I just saved your life, you should kneel on the ground and thank me! In fact, you deserve to be killed by him! You died like your father, because you were too proud and refused to believe that he was wrong about Black! Get out of the way, or I will be rude. Get out of the way, Potter!"

Staring at Snape, Harry seemed to have made up his mind. He suddenly raised his wand: "Expelliarmus!"

Harry roared, but it seemed that it was not just his voice. Three red lights burst out at the same time, and the other two red lights came from Ron and Hermione.

Snape didn't seem to expect Harry and the others to dare to take action. He was hit by three disarming spells at the same time. His whole body flew up and hit the wall behind him. Then he fell to the ground, blood oozing from his hair, and he fainted.

"I'm afraid that Professor Snape will win the Oscar this year!"

Irina, who was not far away, saw this scene and her mouth twitched wildly.
