Chapter 115: Lockhart's Magical Bone-Pulling Curse
"Don't be stupid," Fred said. "It'll rip your head off."
Wood looked at Harry and then at the Weasley twins.
"Oliver, this is irrational," said Alicia Spinnet angrily. "You can't let Harry deal with this alone. We need to request an investigation!"
"If we stop now, we'll be disqualified!" Harry said. "We can't lose to Slytherin because of a crazy bludger! Come on, Oliver, tell them to leave me alone!"
"This is all your fault," George said angrily to Wood. "'Catch the golden snitch or die on the field!' Are you seriously telling him this?"
At that moment, Madam Hooch approached them, looked at Wood, and asked, "Can we continue the game?"
Wood looked at Harry's determined expression and could only nod. "Alright, Fred, George, you heard what Harry said. Leave him alone and let him handle the bludger."
Though Wood's decision was somewhat ruthless, it was actually the best strategy.
If Harry hadn't been killed by the bludger...
Madam Hooch blew her whistle, and the game resumed.
The rain continued to pour, and Harry had great difficulty avoiding the bludgers that kept coming at him.
In the stands, Lynn and Irina weren't focused on Harry, who seemed to be dancing ballet on the field; instead, they were still looking for Dobby.
If Dobby was enchanting the bludgers, then Dobby had to be somewhere on the Quidditch field.
But unfortunately, until Harry caught the Golden Snitch and a rogue bludger broke his arm, neither Lynn nor Irina could find Dobby's whereabouts.
It seemed they would have to wait until Dobby revealed himself while Harry was hospitalized at the school hospital.
They both shook their heads at the same time in silent frustration.
Harry fell to the ground with a thud and passed out. When he slowly woke up, he realized he was still lying on the Quidditch field, and Lockhart was leaning over him, looking at him.
"Oh no, I don't want..." Harry seemed to have a premonition and groaned.
"I don't know what you're talking about," Lockhart didn't listen to Harry's words. He flicked his wand. "Don't worry, Harry. I'm just going to treat your arm!"
Meanwhile, Irina hurried to the Quidditch field with Ron and Hermione, looking at Harry anxiously.
However, out of Ron and Hermione's sight, Irina quietly pulled out the two-way mirror Lynn had given her and infused magic into the camera at the back of the mirror.
When the faint light turned on, everything happening in front of Irina was captured by the small camera.
Lockhart pointed his wand at Harry's arm and muttered a spell that was very similar to healing magic.
Immediately, Harry felt a strange and very uncomfortable sensation, like lightning running from his shoulders to the tips of his fingers, as though his arm was being drained.
Harry closed his eyes, afraid to look at his hands.
A gasp was heard around them, and Colin Creevey, wearing alchemy glasses, started taking photographs.
When Lockhart proudly told everyone that he had successfully healed Harry, Irina stepped forward and grabbed Harry's arm, which felt like a thick rubber tube.
Is this the magical spell Lockhart uses to extract bones?
Irina was a bit surprised. If the bones in an enemy's arm could be ripped out during a battle, the opponent would definitely lose all combat effectiveness. This was much easier to use than the disarming spell!
You have to know that even if a wizard's disarming spell hits the enemy and takes away their wand, if the enemy can cast spells without a wand, they could still turn defeat into victory through wandless magic.
However, even when casting spells without a wand, the wizard still needs to channel magical power through their own body, and the parts used by the wizard to cast spells without a wand are limited to their own arms. If the bones in the enemy's arm can be eliminated, then the enemy won't be able to do anything. The wand will likely become useless for spellcasting.
After realizing that all the bones in Harry's arm had been taken, Lockhart immediately slipped away as though nothing had happened, while Irina, Hermione, and Ron took Harry to the school hospital.
"You should have come to me directly! I can put the bones back in a second, but I need them to grow back..." Madame Pomfrey seemed unhappy and angry, lifting Harry's poor, lifeless arm.
Thus, Harry was forced to be hospitalized. Ron helped pull the chains around the hospital bed and helped Harry change into his pajamas.
After a while, the members of the Gryffindor Quidditch team came to visit Harry, but they were soon chased away by Madame Pomfrey's roar, including Irina.
However, although Irina honestly left the school hospital, she didn't return to the Gryffindor common room after dinner. Instead, she returned quietly.
Outside the hospital entrance, Irina met Lynn.
"I got the video and sent it to your two-way mirror."
Irina took out the two-way mirror and gestured to Lynn.
Lynn smiled and nodded, then took Irina's hand.
"Move quietly, so Madame Pomfrey won't notice."
Lynn waved his wand to cast the Disillusionment Charm on Irina and himself.
Feeling the warm touch in his palm, Irina felt a little uncomfortable, but didn't pull away.
After all, when both parties are invisible, only by holding hands can they know each other's exact location.
In the dark corridor, the door to the school hospital suddenly opened a crack at some point, but quickly closed again.
In the hospital bed, Harry slowly woke up. He felt as though a lot of time had passed. Suddenly, he cried out in pain, feeling as if countless blades were slicing into his arms.
Harry thought it was the pain in his arm that woke him up, but he quickly realized with horror that someone was wiping his forehead with a sponge in the dark.
Harry looked around in panic but quickly recognized the other person. "Dobby!"
The house-elf Dobby was looking at Harry with two large eyes like tennis balls, staring at Harry in the dark, and a tear rolled down his long, pointed nose.
"Harry Potter has returned to school," Dobby whispered sadly. "Dobby warned Harry Potter again and again. Ah, Master, why didn't you listen to Dobby's warning? Harry Potter didn't rush to board the train. Why didn't you go home?"
Harry sat up from the pillow and pushed Dobby's sponge away.
"What are you doing here?" Harry seemed to notice something and asked, "How did you know I didn't take the train?"
Dobby's lip trembled, and Harry suddenly became suspicious.
