Chapter 341
As the night deepened, V-animals gathered in a quiet place. Their gazes were collectively focused on the center, where a mouse with pure white fur stood.
Standing on its hind legs like an enthusiastic preacher, the mouse flailed its front paws while emitting passionate squeaks.
“I have seen it! Squeak! A land overflowing with food and drink! A moment of glorious victory!”
Lemon fervently proclaimed the beautiful scenery and the overflowing food, snacks, and candies it had encountered when it died.
And in the glorious Violet War Memorial Hall, it detailed, to the point of drooling, all the achievements the boss had accomplished.
“Squeak! The boss is strong! And brave and just!”
“Wow! Amazing!”
“And that’s not all! There were no bad guys, and everywhere was filled with joy!”
“I had enough to eat and drink all day, there was more than enough to burst my belly! It was really incredible!”
“How much?”
“From here on the ground to beyond that sky!”
The animals clucked and squeaked in excitement at Lemon’s vivid description.
Seeing the enthusiastic reactions of its friends, Lemon felt a swell of pride. It was truly an excellent decision to come out and share its story.
“But the really important thing is something else! Look closely!”
Clearing its throat with a wheezy sound, Lemon slowly but clearly opened its mouth.
“I can talk!”
The gathered animals were shocked as if the sky had fallen. Especially the reaction of the monkey and the crow was even more intense— it was hard to believe that a creature smaller and clumsier than them could already speak human language.
The surprised monkey, Cocoa, asked with astonishment.
“Wow, Lemon! Did you really come back to life like that?”
“It seems so! What do they call it, the Network? I went there and then came back like this!”
The crow, Almond, cawed ominously.
“That’s what ordinary people call the place you visited. Paradise!”
“Paradise! What a lovely sound! Almond is so smart!”
The crow and mouse excitedly chattered about Paradise.
After a moment of deep thought, Cocoa, as if realizing something, murmured within the animal network.
“If you fight hard and die, you can go to Paradise? Is that how it works?”
At that one remark, the animals froze in place like statues.
The sudden realization coursed through their veins like electricity.
“That’s it! Let’s die fighting too!”
“Squeak! I’ll go to Paradise too!”
Thus, in the darkness of midnight, the animals united their hearts and resolved based on this new revelation.
“We will die fighting!”
“For Paradise!”
