Mikael watched as someone leaves the barrier that has prevented him entry several times now. How can he know what those kids said is the truth if he can't even see the wench pregnant with Elijah's seed?

Does this pregnancy even exist or is he being lied to? He decided to watch for a while longer. 

"Elijah, your creep of a father has been standing outside my home for 40 minutes. Do something before.... I do something." Katherine called her husband, he can hear her irritation.

"Dear wife, what would you suggest I do?" He tries to make her calm down by softening his voice. Over the time they have spent together he has picked up a few things.

There is a time when he speaks and she just gets turned on, forgetting everything else and just wants him on her. It is even more so with her pregnancy even as she gets moody alot.

He closes it eyes thinking to himself that sometimes it's like accompanying a tigress. But, he doesn't hate it, not at all and not even a little bit.

"Have dinner with him and ask him nicely to stop being a stalker." Her tone visibly better after hearing his voice. Amazing.

"Dinner? Are you serious?" The surprise at her suggestion is evident. He forgot about calming her down.

"Or take the stake from your brother and put him down, he is in my territory. I'm getting angsty." Her tone is bad again.

"How sensitive." Klaus's mocking voice came through the phone. Katherine grabbed the phone in anger.

"Whose Idea was it to tell that ticking bomb that I am with child? Tell me husband, I promise not to feed them to my lobsters.

"It was Rebekah. She wanted to appeal to Mikel's humanity." Klaus says with amusement.

"Well, he probably doesn't believe it and wants to see for himself. But I assure you Katharina he will not harm you or the baby in anyway." Elijah said with a soothing voice.

"It's sweet that you think Mikel won't murder a pregnant woman. But Elijah I am not unhappy with him because he might hurt me, it's because he might hurt my pack. It that happens I'll be davastated and do....something ....crazy like face him in my condition."

"You don't want that, I don't want that. They say children can here the outside world from the stomach you know. It was fine when I was murdering witches but....he is your blood. I don't want to have to explain one day how I cut open their grandfather into fun size pieces and fed him to my pets. Husband save me from that possible future I don't want our kids to be like Nicklaus..." Elijah doesn't know whether she is joking or not but she does make an excellent point.

"I take offense." Nicklaus says on the side.

"Why is the hybrid listening in on our married couples phone call?" She whispered into Elijah's phone as if Klaus won't hear her that way.

"I am simply standing in the corridor of my own house. I can't help it if your troubles entertain me." Klaus laughs.

"Are you testing me Klaus? This is my territory and you think mocking me is the right thing to do right now? Do you wish for me to do something crazy before you take care of this?"

"You sound agitated. Calm yourself." Elijah said.

"Perhaps it is hard to hear me Elijah, I am a beast and right now there's a powerful possible enemy in my territory where my family is currently residing. I have children going to and from school in here. Do you still think I should calm myself?" Her voice went low and cold the more she spoke.

"I will take care of it immediately." Elijah said and Katherine dropped the call.

"Scared are we?" Klaus ridiculed on the side.

Elijah rolls the phone on his hands with a thoughtful expression on his face while ignoring him. He leaves to confront his father.

"What are you doing hovering around someone's home like a creep?" Elijah walks up to Mikael who looks his way.

"Is that any way to speak to your father?" Mikel asked with annoyance on his face.

"Hehe, you must have been smoking something all this time if you still think yourself a father. Whose father would you be Mikael? Please enlighten me."

"Yours. I am your father Elijah, don't you forget it."

"Mine? How peculiar. I thought you are a merciless butcher whose very presence disgust me. Like a demon from the depths of hell, where ever you go, rivers of blood follow. Such a ...creature can never be anyone's father. Don't delude yourself." Elijah said with a calm voice.

Michael punched his face creating a bloody cut across his cheek that closed immediately. Elijah spit out a mouthful of blood. The blood is accompanied by a few teeth.

He smiles a bloody smile when he sees how easy it is to provoke Mikael. "It seems I've struck a nerve." Elijah said tilting his head.

"You talk too much. Yapping about this and that. No wonder the beast uses you as peace maker in his politics. You have such a sharp tongue." Mikael wiped his bloodied hand with a piece of cloth.

"I am here to see if the things you call your children are really my grandchildren."

"How do you intend to do that?" Elijah asked after getting his bearings. He sped and put a stake threw Mikael's heart but it is not a white oak.

"That is for punching me."

"So petty." Mikael removed the stake and threw it on the ground.

"How I do it is not something you should concern yourself with. Worry about what I will do to the wench if what she is carrying is not my blood." He threatened.

"Hahaha...age is getting to your mind." Elijah called Katherine.

"Is he gone?" She asked as soon as she answered.

"No, come out if you don't want those who left the barrier to die." Mikael said hearing that Petrova doppelganger voice.

"You even married one of them. How disappointing." Mikael sneers at his son. The obsession with those girls is baffling.

"Mikael the destroyer. How...underwhelming." Katherine looked at the man with a permanent mean look on his face.

"Petrova." Mikael spat.

"The disgust in your tone can almost be touched. I'm curious, did my ancestors ever wrong you in anyway? Actually don't answer, I really couldn't care less. Please leave my premises old Viking. You are not welcome here." Katherine said but the man is glaring at her stomach.

"It's indeed my blood." Mikael looked at Katherine, seeing the obvious difference between her and the rest of the doppelgangers he has met, he takes another look.

"You married my son. Why?" Mikael took a step forward. "Did you hope to get an umbrella to shelter yourself from Nicklaus? How pathetic. I should gut you into small pieces to teach Elijah a lesson for defying me all these years." He is standing in front of her now.

However, instead of seeing her cower she looked at him straight in the eyes. He can even see amusement in those brown eyes. Is she thinking he will spare her just because she is carrying his blood?

He sneered and stretched out his hand to strangle her. "I'll teach you a lesson of who to fear in this family. Perhaps I'll cut a few limbs, you don't need limbs to give birth to a healthy baby."

Katherine put a small space barrier around his hand and then she shrank it. Mikael has his hand stretched out but then he suddenly can't move it at all. The space moved slowly around his hand crushing it and making him feel agony.

"What sorcery is this? Release me!" Mikael tried to retrieve his hand to no avail. His hand is crushed into a small ball of bones and blood.

"Aaaaaaah..."

"Aaaaaah.."

"Aaaaaah.."

He released screams but Katherine stood in the same place without making any movement. This is undoubtedly the most painful torture Elijah has seen in centuries. However, he has no plans to stop it.

Katherine sighs in exasperation. "Husband, I was hoping to not mutilate my babies grandfather. That kind of family story will be hard ro explain to the children in the future. But..." She seems to be in a dilemma. Her face looking at Mikel's painful expression.

"If you are going to show your power, do it away from me. I hate temperamental old people the most. Now, I think we are done with show and tell." She looked at Mikael.

"Are you going to leave my territory on your own or should I sent your grandchildren to greet your tombstone?" She asked without any expression on her face.

Seeing him not saying anything but glaring at her in rage, she used the same space around his hand to lift him up by pulling the injured hand. Mikael is in so much pain that he subconsciously shouted.

"I'll leave, release my hand." He said through clenched teeth.

"Make sure that you do. If you do something to any of mine, I will imprison your soul in a ten thousand sword formation. You will be in agony for thousands of years until pain becomes the only truth you know." She threatened flatly.

She let go of his hand and he dropped on the ground, breathing heavily. For someone in a lot of pain, he is tenacious. He stood up straight even as his hand is till slowly mending itself.

"I will remember this pain. Petrova." Mikael spat venom.

"See that you do. Mikaelson." She turned and disappeared inside the barrier.

"Well, how was it? Did you enjoy yourself?" Elijah asked with obvious mockery in his tone.

"I found out who wears the pants in your marriage. " Mikael disappeared on the spot.

Elijah touched his nose thinking of his wife's terrible temper. It is easier angering Niklaus than Katherine. People will understand this fact soon.

In mystic falls the battle between Silas and Qetsiya has been going on for weeks. Non of the parties give in, it is obvious they are both masters of intrigue. Damon and Elena want to use Silas to bring back Bonnie so they have a temporary working relationship with him which puts them on Qetsiya's opposition.

Stefan is bitter when he got home without his memories and found out he had a girlfriend and a brother he loved but these people got together making him the third party in their relationship.

Stefan would have eventually been fine after coming to terms with his reality as time went on but Katherine has practically cursed him by multiplying his love for Elena by a factor of three.

Now, every time he sees Elena or his brother it's not a good feeling to know he has such deep feelings for this woman but she went and dated his brother while he was suffering.

As the result Qetsiya is able to use Stefan to cut off Silas's psychic power. While Damon snaps his neck to give Silas his psychic powers back.

In fact, Stefan willingly works with Qetsiya and helps her imprison Elena up until Qetsiya wants to kill her when the sun goes down. He loves Elena and doesn't want her to die so he helps her escape which angers Qetsiya and she brings back his memories.

The memories of who he is coupled with the intense feelings he has for Elena finally makes him snap. He kidnaps Damon and tortures him making him feel physical pain.

"Stefan stop. I know you are hurt but the truth is you love me and Elena you will feel so bad when you come to your senses." Damon tried to speak to him but Stefan looked at him as if looking at a dead man.

"I love you! You're right I do love you....and her. I used to be so happy to finally have you both in my life, but now.....the two of you broke me. I needed you and you broke me. I used to feel love but now when I look at you all I feel is pain...and her, all I feel is anguish and longing, so much longing I think I might drown." Stefan shouted in the end with tears and pain in his eyes.

He tried everything ever since gaining his memories back. He tried drinking alcohol, blood, he tried meditating but nothing works not even torturing Damon helps all he wants is her, he wants Elena. He wants her to call his name and say she loves him. He longs to go back in time and hear her say that she chooses him.

Looking at his brother on a chair as he bleeds out, he knows he is a lost cause. He is truly broken. Thinking up to here he knows there is only one thing to do. Turn it off. The emotions are destroying him and now he has phobia of small spaces to boot.

He cant stand small spaces sometimes he can't even take a shower without feeling like he is drowning. Damon has been trying to untie himself for a while now when he saw his brother's eyes.

"Stefan, what are you thinking? Hey! Stop it!" He shouted in panic. He can recognize that look from a mile away. It is a look from a vampire without hope. If there's no hope then the next step is obvious...."Don't.... Stefan, No!"

But it is too late Stefan closed his eyes and opened them the next second when he looked at his brother there is nothing inside. No anger, betrayal, pain not even the intense feelings he was just feeling for Elena.

"What did you do?!" Damon screamed.

Stefan looked at the pointy iron pipe he held in his hand. This is the tool he had just been using to torture Damon. He threw it on the ground and turned around leaving.

"Stefan, come back! Damnit Stefan turn it back on..." Damon sounded helpless.

However, Stefan looked at him "You would like that wouldn't you? You want me to feel the loss just like you did with Katherine, you loved her and she loved me. History is a funny thing isn't it. I love Elana a moment ago but she loved you...and you want me to feel every moment of it. Don't you?" She lowered his face to look into Damon's eyes and then just left.

This is the time Damon felt his brother's pain. He also remembered how much he had loved Katherine back then. To have done this to his brother shows just how selfish he really is. He hung his head low in shame and stopped struggling.

To see Stefan like this, he would much rather he comes back to torture him again. How much pain is he in to turn off his humanity like that? Stefan will never willingly turn ripper unless he is force to just like that time Klaus forced him to.

But now, he is willingly turning off his humanity because of him, his own brother. Damon has made Stefan feed on human blood multiple times before, making him turn off his humanity for his sick pleasure but now Damon is different, he would never make Stefan go through that again if he could help it.

Remembering how desolate his brother's eyes were a moment ago. Damon realized something today. He was wrong. He can not use 'love' as a justification to hurt his own brother. It has been over a century but he hasn't grown up, not even a little bit.

It is not just his brother but many people he has hurt just so he can get what he wants, which, admittedly is Elena. First it was Caroline, Jeremy, Bonnie and now it even Stefan. He really doesn't deserve to be happy. He unleashed so much pain just so he could be happy...how can a sweet kind hearted woman like Elana even be with him?

Katherine sat on the stretch chair near a pool to look get some sun. She is wearing a sexy long blue dress that allows the cool forest wind to reach her skin. She is has a bikini under the through dress.

The kids are swimming and playing games even Hayley is relaxing in a similar chair with a book in her hand. She would occasionally sip a glass of cold juice on the small table between the two of them.

"I couldn't help but notice, your guests are gone." May seated on the side spoke.

"Do you miss them?" Katherine asked May turning to her but it is not possible to see the expression under the sunglasses.

"No, it just, you didn't tell her Stefan Salvatore turned off his humanity." May said.

"I am not the vampire news channel." Katherine said. Hayley chokes on the juice. She coughs afterwards.

"Eh? We have the same juice, why can't you swallow it? People are indeed made different." Katherine said making both May and Hayley speechless.

It is true that Caroline and her mother had left for Mystic falls a few days ago and should have arrived home by now.

When Caroline got home and found out what happened to Stefan she couldn't help but blame Elena for causing so much pain to her other best friend. "You are still insisting?"

Elena always answers the same way. "I'm in love with him Caroline, I can't help it."

Caroline is helpless when it comes to Elena's feelings for Damon but she can try to help and get Stefan to turn on his humanity back on. However, she got a visit from Stefan in one afternoon when she came back from school.

He is wearing an apron making Caroline salivate at the sexy picture. Stefan is definitely playing dirty, he knows she is a sucker for men who can cook. "Why are you here?" She put her guard up. 

"Are you suspicious of me? I came to thank you for trying to get Elena to give me a chance again even though you have feelings for me. You are really a good person Caroline." Stefan said without any mockery in his voice. Caroline blushed being exposed like that. 

"You don't have to cook for me to thank me Stefan, and entering a person's home when they are not around is creepy." Stefan made an 'oh' sound but continued to cook. 

Caroline went to check on her mother who is resting in the house but had moved to her bedroom when Stefan had come in to cook. Stefan or any vampire without any emotions makes her as the sheriff very uncomfortable.

Is the love of one girl really worth so much pain? It is clear that he is completely in love with Elena but she is in love with someone else.

Now that she is not dying she has time to think about all this nonsense children are doing outside. The qestion is why did Stefan come to her house if he is now without any emotions?

A while later a delicious smell wafted into the room making the woman who hadn't had a healthy appetit for a long time salivate. When she couldn't take it anymore and walked into the living room she found Stefan and Caroline finished setting up the table.

She took a seat and when everyone sat down to eat, Stefan said something. "I heard how you have made a full recovery from stage something cancer. I want to toast to your health." He raised a glass and the three of them drank all the champagne in each of their glasses.

They began eating a delightful dinner with Elizabeth getting drunk from the expensive wine Stefan had brought over. He helped Caroline wash the dishes and said goodbye. Caroline had a sweet feeling in her heart. None of her friends had checked up on her to find out what is going on with her mother.

Bonnie is dead, Elena is deep in relationship mode while Damon is Damon. She felt oddly tired and fell asleep not knowing she had injested a powerful tasteless poison that would have taken her life if she was human.

Stefan looked at the house where he had just come out of and started walking away. Miss Forbes was initially going to die anyway, if not today feom cancer, then tomorrow from old age. Stefan laughs as he thinks he is the messenger of death, warning people not to try and cheat death the ones he already has in the list. Uncontrollable laughter bobbled in his throat and he let it out.

The next day, an earth shattering scream tore through the entire town. When Damon rushed there, he found Caroline trying to wake up her mother but to no avail. It seems she died peacefully in her sleep.

Caroline is devastated to lose her mother so abruptly. No matter how Damon tried to console her but she looked at him coldly. "My mother's cancer was cured by Katherine, Stefan did this. Do you hear me? Your brother killed my mother!"

She shouted at him stunning Damon in place. Caroline lost all the strength and became numb. From that day on, Damon began to hunt for his brother while Caroline called Katherine but both were unsuccessful.

One night Damon came home to find it littered with corpses. It is easy to see someone had a party. He found Stefan feeding on someone and he became speechless. All the dead people looked similar to Elena.

He turned off the music and glared at him. "Are you trying to make a point? Whatever happened to being discreet?" Damon looked at the dead people on the ground.

"Look at you, not long ago, I asked you the same question. You remember? When you came to town looking for a way to take Katherine out of the tomb?"

"Always reckless without a care about keeping our secret as vampires because you had nothing to lose while I had Elana, friends and a life to maintain?"

"What was it you said? It's none of your business it is me who should be worried...well, right back at you." Stefan smirked.

"Are saying you have nothing to worry about because you have no one? You have me Stefan! You have Car...that's why you killed her mother isn't it? To liberate yourself of your friendship? You knew that we were trying to make Caroline help you turn back your humanity switch and you got scared that it actually might happen. You love her...she was a way in for us and you made sure to burn that bridge." Damon figured out Stefan's motives with horror. Even as he hates it, he has to admit "It's brilliant."

Because there is no way he can go back to being best friends after murdering her only relative. Caroline only had her mother like how Elana had Jeremy. Damon realized something and looked at his brother. "You want her to turn off her humanity."

"If you can't beat them, make them join you. I learned that from you. You have been such a good big brother over the century Damon, I plan to return the favor." Stefan smiled.

Seeing Damon's expression he opens his arms. This is how you were when you lost Katherine, I plan on embracing my inner Damon." Damon had a horrible feeling about this.

"If you have my life, I will have yours. How am I doing so far?" That smile again. Damon became frustrated. He looked at the bodies on the floor and started moving the bodies. He can not afford to have people see this mess if he wants to live her and continue playing girlfriend and boyfriend with Elena. Damnit Stefan has him right where he wants him. Except.....

"Don't worry brother, I have already called someone to clean it up." Stefan left the house with Damon clenching his jaw. Still boiling with anger, he heard sirens coming from a distance. "Damnit Stefan. How ruthless."

Left with no choice, he used speed to clean up the dead people and threw them away but the trail of blood is still everywhere Elena saw it and became horrified. But she helped Damon with a resentful heart.

Damon has been ignoring her ever since Stefan turned off his humanity and the first time he calls her in months is to help him clean dead people off his home.

When the police came and left, she looked at him in anticipation. Damon looked at her with a flat expression. Seeing him like this, all the expectations in Elena's heart disappeared. She clenched her hands 'more time, he just needs more time.' She kept telling this line to herself.

Caroline is also not talking to her, if she didn't break Stefan's heart this would have never happened. Bonnie is dead Jeremy is the only one by her side with Bonnie's ghost. This is why she is willing to do anything to bring back Bonnie.

Stefan went off grid. Not ripping or causing a mess for his brother to find.

Katherine didn't think increasing Stefan's love for Elena would yield so much results. It's really exciting.
