Chapter 44: Chapter 61: Seduction Missions
It was one of those quiet days when the Kardashian-Jenner family gathered to relax. In the living room of Kris Jenner's mansion, Derek and Kylie were sitting comfortably on the couch, surrounded by Kendall, Kim, Khloé, Kourtney, Kris and Corey. The children were playing in another part of the house, leaving the adults to enjoy a rare moment of peace.
Kendall, always curious and a fan of action movies, had decided to put on a James Bond classic for everyone to watch. She liked the way the movies portrayed sophisticated and mysterious spies, and with Derek now part of the family, her curiosity about the real world of special operations and espionage had increased even more.
Halfway through the movie, as they watched Daniel Craig playing the famous agent 007, one scene in particular caught everyone's attention. Bond, always charismatic and seductive, used his charm to win over the target of his mission, and shortly after, the scene suggested that he had slept with the woman to obtain crucial information. Kendall, with his eyes intent on the screen, slowly turned to Derek, who was watching calmly.
"Derek, does that really happen?" Kendall asked, not hiding his interest in the answer. "Missions where you have to seduce someone to obtain information, like Bond does? Have you ever had to do something like that?"
The atmosphere became slightly tense, but everyone in the group was visibly curious to know what Derek would say. Kylie gave a look of curiosity mixed with a little discomfort, but she knew that Derek was not afraid to speak the truth.
Derek settled on the couch and looked around, realizing that all the Kardashian-Jenner sisters and even Corey were waiting for his answer. He took a deep breath and smiled slightly before starting to speak.
"Well, yes, that kind of mission does exist," he began, with a more serious expression on his face. "They're called 'honeypot' missions. They involve seducing a target, gaining their trust, and in many cases, that can mean getting intimate in order to obtain confidential information."
Everyone's eyes widened. The idea that this wasn't just fiction, but something that actually happened in the real world, was shocking.
"But," Derek continued, "this type of operation requires a specific profile of agent, someone with a particular skill in emotional manipulation and who knows exactly how to play this type of game."
Kendall leaned forward a little, his eyes shining with curiosity. "What about you? Have you ever done something like this?"
Derek smiled slightly, looking directly at Kendall. "My specialty was never the 'honeypot.' Sure, as an agent, you have to know how to handle a variety of situations, but I was more focused on direct infiltration, combat, and intelligence. I wasn't the guy you'd send on a mission where seduction was the main focus."
Kim, who had been quiet until then, laughed and commented: "So you're more of a break-in and take what you need by force type of person?"
Derek laughed along. "Basically. I prefer a more direct approach. Sure, on some missions you have to be sneaky, and using charm can help, but deep-level seduction, like Bond does, wasn't my thing."
Kylie, who was standing next to Derek, gave a small, relieved smile and rested her head on his shoulder. "I think I prefer you that way. I'm not sure I'd handle you seducing targets for information."
"I get it," Derek replied, putting his arm around Kylie in comfort. "It's a fine line that agents have to walk. Most of us have our specialties, and I was more effective at field operations, gathering intelligence on infiltration, and combat."
Kris, who was sitting next to Corey, finally spoke up. "That sounds so intense. I never imagined that kind of thing actually happened. It all seems so... cinematic."
Derek looked at her and nodded. "Trust me, a lot of the things you see in spy movies have a basis in reality, but the missions are never as glamorous as they seem on screen. In real life, everything is much more dangerous, and the consequences are much greater."
Kourtney, who had been a little distracted until then, joined the conversation. "And these missions, Derek... are people really trained to manipulate emotions like that? It seems so cold."
Derek nodded again. "Yes, unfortunately, some missions require you to put aside any morality or personal feelings. Intelligence operations are often about doing what is necessary to protect lives and countries. But it's not for everyone. That's why only a very select group of agents are trained for these types of operations."
Kendall still looked fascinated. "I imagine it must be very difficult to separate what is personal from what is professional in these situations."
Derek looked at her and smiled.
"You're right. That's why it's not a mission that just any agent can do. And even for those who do, it can weigh on their conscience. These operations require a lot of self-control and the ability to turn off emotions."
The room was silent for a moment, as everyone processed what Derek had just shared. Even living in the world of celebrities, where exposure was part of everyday life, the life of a spy seemed much more complex and full of responsibility.
Kim was the first to break the silence. "That's so crazy. I never thought that missions like these actually existed outside of the movies."
"They do, but they're rare," Derek said, still with a serious tone. "These agents need to be incredibly trained, and the consequences of any mistake can be catastrophic. It's a dangerous game."
Kylie looked at Derek with a mixture of admiration and curiosity. "You've lived a completely different life, huh?"
Derek just smiled and gave Kylie a soft kiss on the forehead. "Everyone has their own path. But I'm happy where I am now."
Kris, always the pragmatist, looked at the group and suggested, "Well, I guess we can watch the rest of the movie and then go get something to eat. After all, espionage is better with popcorn, right?"
They all laughed and settled back down to continue watching. Derek, even though he was the most experienced in espionage situations, was now in an environment that valued the calm and comfort of his family something he was beginning to value more than any field operation.
As the movie progressed, the family became increasingly curious about the spy life, but also grateful to know that Derek was now safe, with Kylie and the kids by his side. Bond's adventure in the movie seemed exciting, but Derek's reality was much more impressive, even if he now preferred the quiet side of life.
