Chapter 14
Chapter 14 The Requirement to Formally Acknowledge the Old Man as His Master
“Brother Tian.” The middle-aged man walked to the front of Wang Feng. The two people who had stopped Wang Feng spoke out reverently in a hurry.
“Shut up. How many times have I told you that you should call me chairman? If you continue calling me with a wrong title, be mindful of your heads.” Upon finishing his words, He Tian directly gave these two an indifferent look, which made them lower their heads hurriedly.
“Hehe, brother, kindly don’t take it to your heart. Now I will bring you to meet my master.” After scolding the two people, He Tian instantly showed a smiling look. The speed at which he changed his looks was pretty much faster the weather changing.
Being quite confused at what he had said, Wang Feng asked then, “Your master?”
“It is hard to explain in a short while. You follow me first.” Seeing Wang Feng’s confusing look, He Tian led the way in the front of him instead of explaining further.
Seeing that he did not intend to explain, Wang Feng also did not question closely. He followed up closely behind him.
The Xin Yang Building was pretty high, having more than fifty floors. For riding the elevator only, it would still take as long as several minutes. While inside the elevator, Wang Feng had already given He Tian a thorough glance over.
After this thorough glance, he was instantly somewhat trembling with fear. Though the He Tian was pretty polite and amiable to him on the surface, his body was covered with various kinds of scars whose number was more than twenty. Some of the scars could be even life-threatening.
It seemed that He Tian was not of any ordinary origin at all. He did not look like a good person at all, that was the impression Wang Feng held towards He Tian at first sight.
Of course, if Wang Feng knew that the person in front of him was exactly the underground emperor of Zhu Hai City, it was believed that he would be much more astonished.
“Master, I have brought the man over,” In front of an old-fashioned door, He Tian opened his mouth reverently.
The Xin Yang Building was a place filled with an atmosphere of modernization. But there actually was an old-fashioned place like this on the top level, which had startled Wang Feng a bit. It seemed that this place was designed specifically.
“Come in.” A hoary and old voice came from the room. Then He Tian pushed the door open. Wang Feng instantly saw the old man who had saved his life yesterday.
The old man sat cross-legged, in a way similar to how Wang Feng did, who looked like exactly the master cultivating himself to become an immortal described in the novel.
Moreover, after having calculated Qi, Wang Feng could see the soaring Qi, pervading his body, which was quite astonishing.
“Xiao Tian, you go out first. I have something to say to this young brother,” The old man opened his mouth and said. His voice was calm.
“Yes, respected master.” He Tian’s look was reverent. Then he closed the door and left this place, who held no great airs of a mafia boss at all.
“Sit down.”
“Er, I don’t need to sit down,” Wang Feng opened his mouth and said.
“Perform the Qi you have perceived, out for me to have a look.” The old man cast Wang Feng a glance, which made Wang Feng feel that his heart had skipped a beat. He had a feeling of seemingly being seen through.
But knowing the old man was a very capable person, Wang Feng also did not hesitate. He immediately exerted his mind and thought. Then a ball of white frost rose from his hands, which was exactly the Qi he had cultivated and which could also be counted as the productive outcome of his meditation after having been sitting cross-legged for the whole last night.
“As expected, it was indeed Qi.” Seeing the white frost in Wang Feng’s hands, the old man had a smile on his face. But at the time when Wang Feng was unconscious, a look of astonishment was revealed in both of the old man’s eyes then.
“OK, you take this book back and study over it carefully. To finally acknowledge me as your master, you should have achieved the inner strength and then we can talk about it.” While talking, the old man threw a book over. Then he saw wang Feng off the premises, “You get out first. I am now about to do the cultivation.”
A gulf of air billow sprayed into his face. Wang Feng only felt that a gulf of enormous power which was irresistible forced him out of the door powerfully.
“Brother Wang, how is it going?” He Tian had been waiting outside the door for a long time. Seeing Wang Feng going out at this time, he rushed forward immediately and asked.
“He just gives me this ragged book.” Waving the book in his hands, Wang Feng replied with a somewhat helpless look on his face.
“Then you should be content enough. As a grand old man, the master will not recruit students that easily. Now that he is willing to impart you something, which indicates that you are already an unofficial student of his respected grandmaster. Your status is already the same as mine.” He Tian opened his mouth in a somewhat admiring way.
After all, Wang Feng had become an unofficial student of his respected grandmaster at such a young age, which meant that his future achievements would be limitless.
Was there any benefit to becoming an unofficial student? Wang Feng could not help rolling his eyes.
“Well, since the master has given you the book, then you should study it carefully when you are home. This is my name card. If you have any issues, you can directly call me.” He Tian handed out a name card.
“Thanks a lot.”
On the way back home, Wang Feng opened the book and read it randomly, only to find out that it was just a book which had recorded something like the classification of grades and levels.
For people in current times, if they started cultivating, the cultivation then will be divided into the external strength in the initial stage. As long as they have achieved this level, both their anti-batting ability and their explosive power would be elevated to another level, which would be no less than that of the special force soldiers.
While after the external strength, there came then the internal strength. As the old man had instructed him, he could only formally acknowledge him as his master when he had achieved the level of internal strength.
This requirement was indeed a bit too high.
