Episode 048
Episode 048
Upon arriving at Antonio B. Won Pat International Airport, we immediately moved luggage again.
Then we took a vehicle to Tumon Beach, famous for its Two Lovers Point.
Today’s goal was to shoot in the vicinity from 3 PM to 7 PM.
The And You shooting team seemed to want to capture Guam’s beautiful sunset as well.
We arrived at the first shooting location.
I quickly changed into the outfit according to the concept and received makeup.
As the shooting concept was ‘Living in Guam for a Month’, the styling was done with a casual yet put-together feel.
Naturally, the clothing brands were selected to be non-luxury brands.
Luxury brand clothing would have immediately given away the identity.
This would be even more obvious for fashion magazine readers.
After all, they would likely have a keen interest in fashion.
The first outfit selected was from ‘jour et nuit’.
It was a brand recently gaining popularity in France.
The coordination matched a ‘Tweed Panel Brown Sweatshirt’ with ‘Casual Suit Wide Slacks’.
“I’ll roll up the sleeves slightly to fit the concept.”
“Shooting preparation complete!”
“Let’s move this way!”
The And You staff moved busily.
It was impressive how professionally they carried out their work.
It was clear why they were one of the top five fashion magazines in Korea.
Song Jin-ah’s eyes sparkled beside me, seemingly feeling there was much to learn.
Of course, she didn’t forget to catch small details even in the midst of this.
“Just a moment. There’s an eyelash in the actor’s eye.”
A subtle difference that couldn’t be noticed unless looked at closely.
It was something only Song Jin-ah, who assists me closely on a regular basis, could catch.
Thanks to this, I was able to quickly finish preparing even in the hectic situation.
It was a moment to realize how amazing it is to work with professionals.
Especially impressive among them was Im Seung-yeon.
Im Seung-yeon, who had seemed somewhat introverted compared to Celia, became a completely different person when the photo shoot began in earnest.
“Actor! Can we lower the arm a bit?”
“Please walk slowly to the side.”
“Could you lift your chin slightly more?”
“Yes, that’s good. Look at the horizon please.”
“Stay right there. I’ll lie down.”
She actively requested new poses while conducting the shoot.
In the process, she wasn’t stingy with moving her own body around.
She was so passionate that she even lay on her stomach on the sandy beach.
It was a surprising sight that made me wonder if she had always been like this.
Moreover, while actively requesting poses, Im Seung-yeon didn’t direct unnecessary movements.
When passion is excessive, one tends to tense up without realizing it, but there was no such feeling from Im Seung-yeon.
I suddenly realized that Im Seung-yeon was an extremely capable person, even though I hadn’t known her name well.
It seemed Song Jin-ah hadn’t mentioned her fame for nothing.
She had no hesitation in communicating with the model either.
Whenever a certain amount of shooting was done, she would approach me, show the photos directly, and ask which ones I liked best.
“They’re all good, but I like the feel of numbers 3 and 7 the most.”
“Hmm… Is that so? Then, could we take a few more shots in the style of numbers 3 and 7?”
“Of course.”
Compared to studio shoots where all equipment is set up, outdoor shoots were always a bit more challenging.
Especially when shooting abroad, even with many staff members, time constraints were inevitable.
This was even more so for a one-night, two-day schedule like this one.
However, with a professional like Im Seung-yeon, it was a different story.
It was possible to efficiently reduce shooting time while producing good results.
Moreover, as they say, two heads are better than one.
Even while requesting poses from the model, if she felt it would be better to move herself,
She would move her body around first, which was only natural.
‘To hire such a photographer… And You’s influence is truly remarkable.’
Celia watched the shooting scene with sharp eyes from a step behind.
When my gaze briefly turned in that direction, along with the click sound, I heard Im Seung-yeon’s praising voice.
“That expression just now was great! Let’s do one more!”

After moving along Tumon Beach for the shoot, we took the last photo at Two Lovers Point.
The outfit for the last photo was from ‘velocità’.
‘velocità’ was an Italian sports brand that had been making a name for itself since last year.
This time, we matched a ‘Mesh Free Wind Jacket’ with ‘Cold Gear Jogger Pants’.
Fitting the ‘Living in Guam for a Month’ concept, it gave the feeling of exercising at sunset.
“This is the last shot! Good work everyone!”
“Thank you for your hard work!”
Im Seung-yeon pressed the shutter for the last time, and with that, the shoot was wrapped up.
I approached Im Seung-yeon to check the photos just taken.
“The one we took earlier is better, right?”
“Yes. I think numbers 26 and 29 would be good for the A-cut.”
“Understood. Then we’ll finalize it that way.”
With that, the shoot was completely finished, and the staff began bustling around preparing to move.
It was finally time to return to our lodging, have a late dinner, and rest.
Im Seung-yeon and I helped the staff to secure even a little more rest time.
Celia was also busy moving luggage while constantly giving instructions.
As I looked towards Celia, I recalled the shooting script I had checked yesterday.
‘All the outfits I wore today weren’t bad.’
If introduced domestically as And You intended, they would all be eye-catching pieces.
Both ‘jour et nuit’ and ‘velocità’ were products that perfectly matched recent trends.
But the problem was tomorrow’s shoot.
Among the outfits I was to wear tomorrow, there was one whose name I remembered.
And not in a positive way, but a negative one.
‘Even until this morning, I was wondering if it was right to reveal this fact…’
But after working with Celia and Im Seung-yeon today, I gained confidence.
Confidence that if I informed them of this fact before it was too late, the problem could be resolved in a positive way.
While I was organizing my thoughts, the luggage arrangement was finished, and we moved to our lodging.
In the vehicle heading to the lodging, I asked Yeo Kyung-chan sitting next to me.
“Did you find what I asked for earlier?”
“Yes. While you were shooting, Jin-ah and I searched the internet hard and found it with difficulty. Shall I send you the link?”
“You worked hard. Please send me the link. I’ll check it right away.”
Yeo Kyung-chan fiddled with his phone and sent something.
Then, a link to an article full of Spanish text appeared in my messenger.
I clicked the link and ran it through a translator to check the content of the article.
Yeo Kyung-chan, who was watching this, asked me a question.
“Are you going to talk about it?”
I nodded while looking towards the vehicle Celia and Im Seung-yeon were in.
Their vehicle was following closely behind ours.
“I should. There’s no need for them to suffer unnecessary harm.”
“I’m worried whether they’ll accept your opinion. It must not have been easy to search for a brand not yet introduced in Korea…”
“I was a bit worried about that too, but I think it’ll be fine. Both of them seem to be not only professional in their attitude but also skilled in communication.”
“If it’s as you say, things should work out well. By the way, tomorrow will be an even busier day.”
“Have a hearty dinner tonight. We might be very hungry tomorrow.”
Just as Yeo Kyung-chan and I were in the middle of our conversation, the vehicle arrived at our lodging.

As soon as we arrived at the lodging, I approached Celia as I had decided to handle the matter.
“Editor.”
“Ah! Actor! Don’t worry about the luggage arrangement and go wash up and have dinner first. We’ll only move the valuable equipment here.”
“Thank you for your consideration.”
“No, I should be more thankful. You must have been so tired, working with the staff all day and doing the shoot too.”
“It was my choice to help. More importantly, if you have time, could we have a chat? There’s something I’d like to discuss.”
“Discuss?”
“Yes. It might be somewhat important.”
“Hmm… In that case, shall we have dinner together? That way we can rest a bit earlier.”
“That sounds good. I’d like to talk with the photographer as well, if possible. While having dinner together.”
“Photographer Im Seung-yeon packed some simple luggage and went to shower first, so I’ll talk to her separately. See you at the restaurant later.”
A little while later.
I, Yeo Kyung-chan, Song Jin-ah, Celia, and Im Seung-yeon started having dinner together.
It was a 4.5-star hotel booked by And You, and the buffet dinner menu wasn’t bad.
Especially the taste of the chicken kelaguen was good, so we could have a satisfying meal.
In Yeo Kyung-chan’s case, he went for the chicken kelaguen three times and cleared his plate completely.
As everyone had filled their stomachs to some extent and was tasting their preferred desserts, Celia opened her mouth.
“I was so hungry that I ate without thinking and forgot that you said you had something to say.”
I took a sip of the warm coffee in front of me before answering.
“That’s right.”
“Please tell us now. What did you want to say?”
Celia made a curious expression.
Im Seung-yeon also looked like she had no idea what I was about to say.
I exchanged glances with Yeo Kyung-chan and Song Jin-ah for a moment before slowly speaking.
“The reason I asked to have dinner together with both of you is… because of tomorrow’s shooting script.”
“The shooting script?”
“Yes. To be precise, I’m concerned about one of the outfits I have to wear according to the script. The camouflage silk cotton jacquard shirt. It’s from ‘otoño’, right?”
“Yes, that’s right. Do you perhaps not like the shirt?”
Celia asked with a worried look.
Sometimes models refuse outfits like this.
But I wasn’t bringing this up simply because of my personal taste.
“No. I have no complaints about the outfit itself. Rather, it seems that the chief designer of ‘otoño’ is involved in an unsavory incident.”
“An unsavory incident? That can’t be…”
I didn’t have Celia and Im Seung-yeon’s numbers.
So I took out my phone and showed them an internet news article.
It was the very article that Yeo Kyung-chan and Song Jin-ah had difficulty finding.
“The brand name ‘otoño’ was unfamiliar, so out of curiosity, I searched for articles and found this. It seems the chief designer is involved in a child sex crime.”
As soon as I finished speaking, Celia and Im Seung-yeon were shocked.
