The Dungeon Tree

Chapter 14: Let Me Sleep

The ghost floated over me while I tried to sleep. I avoided eye contact as much as possible but would occasionally take a peek at her.

"So are you just going to watch me the entire night? Because it's kind of hard to sleep with you watching my every move." I said.

"I'll stop watching you once you leave my room, but until then I'm going to watch you." Answered the girl.

I let out a long sigh and sat up from where I was laying down. I rose to my feet and grabbed my bag before turning around and leaving the room.

"Fine, if leaving your room will allow you to let me sleep then I'll go." I grumbled.

As I walked out the room I felt a cold shiver down my spine. I stopped walking and turned around, the girl was still watching me. I rolled my eyes and walked down the stairs.

"I can't sleep outside because winter somehow exists here, maybe the kitchen will work." I said.

"I won't let you sleep there either, this is my kitchen. Go find somewhere else to stay, preferably not in this house." The girl said.

"Hate to break it to you ghost child, but this isn't your house anymore. It's me and my friends home now, so stop what you're doing and let me sleep." I said.

The girl floated around me and was pouting. I let out an annoyed sigh and walked away from her.

Halfway through walking up the stairs, I felt something hit my back. I turned around and saw the girl sticking her tongue out at me.

"Well screw you too, I wouldn't be living here if I knew a ghost of what looks like an eight year old would be messing with me." I said, glaring at her.

"I'm not eight you pest, I'll have you know I'm actually fourteen." The ghost girl seemed proud of herself. I let out a small laugh before going back into what should be my room.

"Where do you think you're going? I just told you that you can't sleep in my room, so go find somewhere else." The ghost girl said.

"This isn't your house anymore, what do I have to do to get you to believe me? Listen, as long as I'm talking with you I won't be able to sleep. I actually want to sleep, so leave me alone." I said.

I continued walking towards to room ignoring everything the ghost child was trying to do. Right as I got to the door I felt something hit my back again. I let out a sigh and turned around, my jaw dropped at what I was seeing. There was a whole army of dolls in front of me.

"Oh you've got to be kidding me. How many dolls do you have? Because that is not normal, like at all." I said.

The ghost girl floated there and stared at me. I watched as she raised her arm and pointed it at me.

"Go get him."
