Chapter 455: Chapter 454: Barbecue Set Meal, Don’t Barbecue (2)

"What... what meat buns?" Erina blushed deeply, lowering her head as her beautiful eyes filled with embarrassment.

"Ah!" she suddenly cried out, her body stiffening as her legs shot straight up. "Your hands are so cold!" She turned her head and shot Sui an angry glare.

Sui had slipped his hand under Erina's white shirt, resting it on her soft, warm belly. The sensation of her slightly fleshy stomach felt comforting, and he couldn't resist gently pinching it, squeezing out two small lumps of soft flesh.

"Huh? I didn't expect to actually make meat buns," Sui remarked in mock surprise.

Erina, both amused and irritated, turned her head away in embarrassment. She gave him a reproachful look. "Everyone has a little belly fat when they sit down! And can you take your hands out? My belly is getting cold."

"Don't want to," Sui replied without hesitation, enjoying the warmth and softness of her stomach. It felt too comfortable, like a personal heat pack.

He pinched her a few more times, noticing that Erina seemed to have gained a little weight. Perhaps all the delicious food she'd been enjoying over the past six months had contributed to it.

Erina could only laugh helplessly. "Are you seriously using my belly as a hot pack?"

"Yep, you figured it out," Sui nodded, grinning as his hands finally warmed up.

"I just wonder when a real baby might be born here," he added teasingly.

"W-What?" Erina's face flushed bright red, her voice trembling with shyness. "I-I think we should wait until we're older. Maybe… after graduation, at the earliest?"

"That makes sense," Sui mused, before grinning mischievously. "But we could always try practicing now."

Erina's cheeks burned even brighter as she struggled lightly in his arms. "Again? Here? Or… should we go to the room?"

---

The next day was a rest day.

Sui stirred in his sleep, instinctively reaching out to hug a certain someone, but his arms grasped nothing. He blinked awake and rubbed his eyes, glancing at the spot beside him. The bed was empty, save for a few strands of golden hair left on the pillow.

"Did she get up already?" Sui muttered. He turned to look at the clock on the nightstand—it was already ten in the morning.

Blissey, the little helper, entered the room, carrying breakfast for him on a tray.

Sui stayed in bed as he ate. The breakfast was delicately prepared, clearly made by Erina before she left. She had instructed Blissey to keep it warm, and it still retained a pleasant heat when he started eating.

After finishing breakfast, brushing his teeth, and washing his face, Sui heard the familiar voice of the system.

"The host has accumulated five daily gift packs. Would you like to open them?"

"Open them," Sui answered.

'"Host opens the daily gift pack: Cooking skill increased by 1.

Host opens the daily gift pack: Acquired a bunch of Dia Grapes.

Host opens the daily gift pack: Acquired one pound of black rice.

Host opens the daily gift pack: Cooking skill increased by 1.

Host opens the daily gift pack: Cooking skill increased by 2."'

In addition to the fine ingredients, Sui's cooking skill had now reached level 82, making him even more proficient in the culinary arts.

"What should I do today? Go to the movies with Tohru and Kanna? Or maybe read on senpai's bed?" Sui pondered.

With Erina already out at work, he found himself with plenty of free time. "Or maybe I should head over to the Polaris Dormitory and hang out with Megumi and the others… or maybe visit Alice?"

He realized he had quite a few good options to choose from.

Just then, his phone buzzed.

Picking it up, Sui was surprised to see a message from Miku.

"12 p.m., Yoshinoya BBQ restaurant. There's something I want to tell you, Sui. Please come."

In his mind, he pictured Miku—the girl with long brown hair, always wearing an indifferent expression and black stockings. She had a peculiar personality, and no one ever quite knew what was going through her head.

To an ordinary person, this message might seem like a confession. But Sui wasn't so self-absorbed to think that Miku would fall for him after only meeting once.

"Could it be because I saw her phone screen?" Sui wondered aloud. "But I didn't see anything strange. Is she maybe part of some obscure military commander fan club?"

He recalled the sharp, watchful gaze Miku had given him at the time, as though he had stumbled upon some grand secret of hers.

"Should I go?" Sui hesitated. He didn't have much of a connection with Miku, and ignoring the message wouldn't change anything.

Still, it felt a little inappropriate to dismiss it. After all, she was his senpai's student.

"Alright, fine. Let's go see what this is about," Sui sighed before heading out of his apartment and catching the tram to the designated location.

Yoshinoya BBQ was a popular spot with affordable prices, generous portions, and great flavor, making it a favorite among the public.

Sui arrived five minutes early, and Miku had yet to show up. He decided to grab a drink while waiting.

In front of him in line was a young man with dark blue hair, long bangs, and a somewhat brooding expression.

"Barbecue set meal, no barbecue," the young man said calmly when it was his turn to order.

Everyone in line, including Sui, was momentarily stunned by the absurdity of his request.

Sui looked at the young man, a hint of admiration flickering in his eyes. 'Impressive.' Coming to a BBQ restaurant and ordering a "barbecue set meal with no barbecue?" This guy was definitely not ordinary.

The young man paid for his order and picked up his tray, completely ignoring the bewildered looks around him.

Just then, a cold voice echoed from the queue.

"Barbecue set meal, no barbecue."

The speaker was a petite girl with long red hair, a perfectly oval face, large eyes, and delicate features.

Once again, everyone in the restaurant was left in stunned silence. Even the employees seemed momentarily at a loss.

It was unusual enough to encounter one person with such a strange request, but two? And at the same time?

The girl's expression remained calm, unfazed by the attention. Seemingly sensing each other's presence, the girl and the blue-haired boy exchanged glances, a faint hint of mutual recognition passing between them.

"Wait… why is it you?" Sui suddenly exclaimed in surprise.

The red-haired girl was none other than Emi Yusa.
