The Domineering Female CEO

Chapter 51: chapter 51

It was finally the day I was heading back to Sky City. Xavier had thoughtfully arranged everything for me, from my flight to my transportation home. After finishing my bath, I dressed in the outfit Xavier had laid out for me, feeling a mix of excitement and sadness at leaving him behind.

As we drove to the airport, Xavier's hand rested on my thigh, his fingers gently stroking my skin. When we arrived, he turned off the engine and turned to me, his eyes burning with emotion.

"I'm going to miss you so much," he whispered, his voice husky.

I smiled, feeling a lump form in my throat. "I'll miss you too," I replied, my voice barely above a whisper.

Xavier leaned in, his lips brushing against mine in a soft, tender kiss. I felt a flutter in my chest as I deepened the kiss, savoring the taste of him.

Finally, it was time for me to go. Xavier walked me to the airport entrance, his arm wrapped around my waist. We shared one last, lingering kiss before I made my way inside.

The flight was a blur, but as the plane touched down in Sky City, I felt a thrill of excitement. I collected my luggage and made my way through customs, my eyes scanning the crowded airport for familiar faces.

As I emerged from the terminal, I spotted a tiny figure waving enthusiastically at me. Jason, my 7-year-old brother, came running towards me, his eyes shining with excitement. Royalty, my best friend, was standing behind him, a warm smile on her face.

"Big sis!" Jason squealed, launching himself into my arms.

I laughed, scooping Jason up and spinning him around as he giggled. Royalty smiled and hugged me tightly. "Welcome home, Eliana. We've missed you."

"Come on, guys, it was just for two days!" I said, laughing.

Jason pouted, "Two days is like two years for me!" His big brown eyes sparkled with mischief, and I felt a pang of regret for leaving him behind.

We headed home, and Royalty filled me in on all the latest gossip and updates from the company. I had missed my best friend and little brother so much, and it felt amazing to be reunited with them.

After dinner, I put Jason to bed and then grabbed Royalty's hand. "Get dressed, we're hitting the club!" I exclaimed.

Royalty squealed with excitement, rushing into her room to get ready. I slipped into something stylish, and soon we were both dressed to impress.

Our driver took us to the club, and Royalty asked about Xavier and me. I filled her in on our latest developments and how we had made up. She listened with a huge grin on her face.

When we arrived at the club, we lingered in the VIP area for a while, sipping drinks and catching up. Then, we made our way to the dance floor, losing ourselves in the pulsating music and vibrant atmosphere.

As we danced the night away, I felt carefree and alive, with by my best friend and the exhilarating energy of the club.

As we danced, a figure emerged from the crowd, and my excitement instantly turned to dread. It was Spencer.

"Hey," he said, his voice dripping with sarcasm.

I glared at him, my eyes flashing with annoyance. "What are you doing here?" I demanded, my voice firm. "And why did you approach me?"

Spencer smirked, his eyes gleaming with amusement. "Don't you think you owe me an apology?" he asked, his tone dripping with entitlement.

I laughed mockingly, my eyes rolling in disgust. "Don't think I don't know about you and my stepmother's plan," I spat, my voice venomous.

I turned to walk away, but then stopped in my tracks, my eyes narrowing as I gave him a final warning. "Don't let me cross paths with you again," I hissed, my voice low and menacing.

I felt a surge of anger and annoyance, and suddenly, the night didn't seem so fun anymore. I turned to Royalty, my expression grim. "Let's go home," I said, my voice firm.

Royalty nodded in agreement, her eyes concerned. "Yeah, let's get out of here," she said, linking her arm through mine.

We made our way out of the club, leaving Spencer and his toxic energy behind.

Xavier's POV

As I watched Eliana disappear into the airport, I felt a wave of relief wash over me. We had finally made up, and I was grateful for the two days we spent together. I couldn't wait for her to return to Jai City.

I pulled out my phone and dialed Elvis's number. "Hey, Elvis," I said, a smile spreading across my face.

"Xavier, you remembered me today?" Elvis joked, his voice booming through the line.

I chuckled, feeling a sense of camaraderie with my friend. "When are you heading back to Sky City to visit Royalty?" I asked, getting straight to the point..

"Okay, can you do me a favor?" I asked, my tone turning serious. "Can you please keep an eye on Eliana for me? And try to convince her and Royalty to come back with you earlier?"

Elvis burst out laughing. "You miss her already? You didn't even tell me you guys made up! I heard it from Royalty."

I smiled, feeling a little sheepish. "Just do as I asked, okay?"

Elvis chuckled, still teasing me. "Alright, alright. I'll take care of Eliana for you."

I ended the call, still smiling. I knew I could count on Elvis to look out for Eliana. And who knows, maybe he could even convince her to come back to Jai City sooner rather than later.

As I stood there, lost in thought, I couldn't shake off the memory of Alexander's piercing gaze when he saw Eliana and me together at the gala. A shiver ran down my spine as I recalled the intensity of his stare. I knew I couldn't let my guard down or take any chances. My instincts told me that Alexander was a man who wouldn't give up easily.

A hint of insecurity crept in, but I pushed it aside. I needed to prioritize Eliana's safety and well-being. Keeping her away from Alexander's toxic influence was crucial.

Just then, an idea struck me. I would build a magnificent mansion, a symbol of our love and commitment. It would be our home, a sanctuary where Eliana, her younger brother, and I could live together as a family.

I envisioned the mansion's grandeur, its sprawling gardens, and its state-of-the-art security features. It would be the perfect surprise for Eliana's birthday. I could already imagine the look of wonder on her face when she saw our dream home.

With newfound determination, I made a mental note to get started on the project immediately. I would spare no expense in creating a haven for the people I loved.

I knew that building a mansion that would meet Eliana's standards wouldn't be easy. As someone who came from a more modest background, I had to work harder to achieve my goals. Eliana's wealth and influence were intimidating, but I was determined to rise to the challenge.

To make my vision a reality, I needed to secure more lucrative deals and roles. I had to expand my network, build meaningful connections, and continually improve myself. The stakes were high, but I was driven by my love for Eliana and my desire to provide her with the life she deserved.

Fortunately, I had already taken the first step towards achieving my goal. I had been secretly working on a business plan to launch my own clothing brand, Xave. The project was already underway, and I was excited about its potential.

I hadn't shared the news with Eliana yet, mainly because I had started working on the project during our brief separation. Now that we were back together, I was eager to share my vision with her and get her feedback.

Once Xave was up and running, I would focus on building our dream mansion. I could hardly wait to see the look on Eliana's face when I surprised her with our new home.

I walked into my home, feeling a sense of comfort and tranquility. I made myself lunch and sat down to eat, savoring the quiet moment to myself. Just as I was taking a bite, my phone rang. I smiled when I saw Eliana's name on the screen.

"Hey, babe," she said, her voice sweet and melodious.

"Hey, my love," I replied, feeling a warmth in my chest. "How are you?"

Eliana told me she was fine, and we chatted for a while, catching up on each other's lives. I shared with her my business plan for Xave, the clothing brand I had been working on in secret. Her excitement and enthusiasm were palpable, even over the phone.

"I'll be in Jai City when you launch your business," she promised.

My heart skipped a beat at the thought of her being there to support me. But then reality hit me - the launch was still two months away.

"No, babe, please come before then," I urged, feeling a pang of desperation. "I don't think I can stay apart from you that long anymore."

Eliana's laughter was music to my ears. "Relax, babe," she said. "I just need to finish up here and officially return to the headquarters as my main base, okay?"

I had no choice but to agree, but I couldn't help feeling a little disappointed. Two months felt like an eternity without Eliana by my side.

Weeks had passed since Eliana and I last spoke, but our daily conversations had become the highlight of my day. I had been putting off the building plans for our dream mansion, deciding instead to push them to next year. I wanted to ensure that the final product would meet Eliana's exquisite taste and standards.

As we caught up on our latest call, Eliana shared with me her concerns about a pressing business deal. The board of directors was breathing down her neck, eager for her to close the deal, but she was hesitant. She sensed that there were strings attached, conditions that she wouldn't be able to fulfill.

"I have to meet the anonymous businessman first," she said, a hint of uncertainty in her voice.

I offered her my support and wished her good luck. We ended the call, and I couldn't shake off the feeling that something wasn't quite right.

The next day, I received a photo message from an unknown number. My heart sank as I saw the image: Alexander standing alongside Eliana, a smug smile spreading across his face. I knew nothing had happened between them, but I couldn't help feeling that Alexander was up to no good.

Eliana's pov

I quickly dialed Eliana's number, my mind racing with worst-case scenarios. "What's going on with the picture?" I asked, trying to keep my tone neutral.

"Unfortunately, the businessman is Alexander," she replied, her voice measured. "The picture was taken when we were discussing the deal."

"What does he want?" I demanded, my anxiety spiking.

Eliana's calm demeanor was a stark contrast to my growing unease. "Calm down, babe. It's just business. He hasn't revealed his conditions yet, but I'll fill you in as soon as I know."

I took a deep breath, trying to shake off the feeling of impending doom. "Okay, but please don't do anything stupid, okay?"

Eliana's tone turned icy. "I'm not a child, and I won't do something stupid. Thanks for your concern, though." With that, she hung up.

I was left standing there, feeling frustrated and helpless. Just as I was about to call her back, my manager's call interrupted my thoughts.

"We just bagged an endorsement deal worth millions!" he exclaimed.

I forced a smile, trying to match his enthusiasm. My plans for a better life were finally falling into place.

But my joy was short-lived. The fact that Alexander was in Sky City, potentially manipulating Eliana, still lingered in the back of my mind.

I quickly called Elvis, seeking reassurance. "Hey, man, I need your help. Alexander is in Sky City, and I don't like it."

Elvis's calm voice soothed my frazzled nerves. "Don't worry, Xavier. I've got this. I was at the meeting with Eliana, and I'll make sure she's safe. Royalty was sick, but I'll accompany Eliana to the next meeting."

I breathed a sigh of relief, thanking Elvis for his support. With him watching over Eliana, I felt a little better. But I knew I couldn't let my guard down, not when Alexander was involved.

Here's a rewritten version of Eliana's POV:

I answered Xavier's call, trying to sound calm despite the turmoil brewing inside me. "Hey," I said, attempting to sound casual.

"What's going on with the picture?" Xavier asked, his tone laced with concern.

I sighed inwardly, knowing I had to tell him the truth. "Unfortunately, the businessman is Alexander," I replied, bracing myself for his reaction.

Xavier's anxiety was palpable, even over the phone. "What does he want?" he demanded.

I tried to reassure him that everything was fine, but he wouldn't let up. His overprotectiveness was starting to get on my nerves.

When he told me not to do anything stupid, I felt a surge of irritation. "I'm not a child, and I won't do something stupid. Thanks for your concern, though," I snapped, hanging up the phone.

I took a deep breath, trying to calm down. Why did Xavier always have to be so insecure? Couldn't he just trust me to handle myself?
