The Demented hero of Reincarnation -(Damn Reincarnation!)

Chapter 35: Chapter- 34 Earth Sector Ø

The vibrant sky shimmered with colors that constantly shifted and changed. A sun hung high at the sky's zenith, casting streams of crimson light toward the realm below, evoking a sense of nostalgia in any observer.

At the summit of a mountain stood a youth with a firm gait and a dazed expression, staring into the distance.

Snapping out of his daze, Edward felt a surge of irritation.

As he approached the cliff's edge, he was astonished to discover that the boulder bluff dropped off completely, forming a steep ninety-degree drop with jagged rocks protruding from its sides.

Rubbing his eyes, Edward muttered, "Why couldn't he just bring me to the ground?"

What truly frustrated Edward was that Glacias had given him this vague task of traversing the spirit realm without clear direction.

"Where am I supposed to go?" he exclaimed, furrowing his brows in exasperation.

The view from the mountain's crest revealed a breathtaking panorama of a vast mountain range stretching thousands of miles across the horizon. Each individual mountain towered majestically, their jagged peaks piercing the sky, creating an awe-inspiring skyline that seemed to touch the clouds.

Focusing on his vision, Edward noticed that each mountain had its own distinct features. Some mountains displayed irregular shapes that defied conventional forms. Others appeared to float, with large mystical waterfalls cascading endlessly into a large lake, creating clouds of mist that surrounded the wetlands, obstructing the view for any observer.

Hovering near the mountain summits were dense clouds of spiritual essence that produced precipitation.

Within most mountains, a diverse array of organisms thrived, drawn to the abundant spiritual essence permeating the atmosphere. This unique biosphere supported peculiar flora and fauna, many of which were unlike anything found in the lower regions. Large earthen sentinels, towering and ancient, strolled the mountain slopes. These odd structures moved with an organic flow, causing moments of chaos for any beasts or spirits that dared to traverse their domain, as they shifted and guarded their territory with formidable resolve. The interplay of life within this majestic mountain range added a layer of enchantment.

As Edward gazed at the scene, he felt uncertain about where to go next. The Spirit King Glacias had indeed spared this piece of information, but it was rather vague.

[The location of the Cathedral is within the Wind Sector, just call out that bastard Temprest's name]

Edward glanced over his shoulder and saw a large boulder.

Knowing what needed to be done, he rolled the boulder toward the cliff and kicked it, sending it tumbling down toward a vast body of water below. This was not only to help him visualize the boulder's trajectory and landing spot but also to ensure a smooth dive. Additionally, throwing rocks could break the surface tension of the water, aiding in a softer entry and reducing the impact on his body.

As he watched the boulder descend for several seconds, Edward nodded his head.

"This should suffice," he said to himself.

Extending his left foot over the mountain's edge, he prepared for his descent.

"There is no other way, I guess," Edward remarked with a shrug.

And like a person committing self-delete Edward just fell off mindlessly and indifferent.

***

Foom!

Falling off the cliff at the haste speed, Edward just accepted it while his body seeped Ice essence within his eyes preventing them from drying and hazing his vision.

As the water loomed closer and collision evident he prepared his body into a diving stance allocating the force as he weaved mana into his already strengthened body to increase density.

Splash!

Water burst into the air, cascading in a dazzling display as the calm surface transformed into a chaotic dance of ripples radiating outward from the point of impact.

Edward, struggling against the weight of the water, fought to breach the surface in disbelief. As he finally broke through, gasping for breath, he was astonished to find himself alive.

He had surely thought he would have died.

The plan itself was far-fetched and illogical—indeed, a caveman solution. But for Edward, it worked, and that was satisfactory.

Finally reaching the surface of the water, Edward's body was drenched, and he still had a firm grip on Azphel. His wet hair fell over his eyes.

Sweeping his hair out of his vision, Edward breast-stroked toward the riverbank.

Lying on the shady shore, Edward gazed at the tranquil environment. It shared similar traits with the icy domain, but it contrasted sharply with its frigid temperatures and frosted landscape. This area was warm and extremely dangerous.

"Change of place," Edward spoke absentmindedly.

Raising his arm Edward grasped his index finger.

Snap!

His middle finger

Snap!

Ring

Snap!

Pinky

Snap!

His fingers fractured releasing a stomach-churning crunch.

The aura surrounding him darkened.

His body shivered and spasmed.

His mind plunged into chaos.

Hazy cries filled his thoughts, torrenting his sense of peace.

His mind unraveled.

Edward's ashen gray hair began to blacken.

When he opened his eyes, a pair of multi-colored irises was revealed, displaying two contrasting hues: dimmed green and crimson red.

An eerie smile eclipsed his stoic features.

He was entertained.

{"I truly wonder? How much blood spills from a beast" }
