Chapter 5. Who Wants to Be a Ninja?
---
Yuto Bubble Tea.
A new bubble tea shop in Konoha which is said to have branches all over the Land of Fire.
As members of Konoha, they certainly knew that this shop ranked second only to Ichiraku Ramen!
Especially on the first day of its opening, when the line stretched all the way to the village entrance. Countless people fought over a cup of bubble tea, and some even bought a cup and resold it for dozens of times the price.
At that time, Obito had complained, "What a bunch of boring people, waiting in such a long line just to buy bubble tea?"
Oh, right.
Later, when he heard that Rin wanted to try it, this boring guy specifically got up early to stand in line.
He never expected that now...
"I'm back! Damn it! They are making the future Hokage deliver bubble tea for them! This is simply intolerable!"
"Thank you for your hard work, Obito!"
"It's no trouble!" Seeing Rin, who was wearing a red-and-white work apron and a cute red hat, Obito instantly felt energized. He sat up straight, "This D-rank mission is way too easy!"
Rin looked so cute in this outfit!
Suddenly, he had the thought, "Actually, working here isn't so bad."
Obito glanced around and noticed that Kakashi hadn't returned yet. His eyes lit up, and he burst into laughter, "I can't believe I'm the first one back! Did you see that, Rin? Kakashi lost to me!"
"That Obito..." Rin hesitated, looking like she wanted to say something.
However...
Lost in his self-absorption, Obito completely overlooked Rin's expression. "Rin! Kakashi lost to me!"
As soon as he finished speaking...
"Idiot!" A cold voice came from behind.
Kakashi walked in, carrying a delivery box. He gave Obito a dismissive glance and ignored him!
"You lost! Kakashi, did you see that? I got back before you!" Obito wasn't angry; he considered Kakashi's behavior a cry of a defeated dog. He walked over, emphasizing each word, "Kakashi! You! Lost!"
"Idiot!"
"You lost!"
"Idiot!"
"How infuriating! You, this guy..." Obito was so enraged by Kakashi's nonchalant demeanor that he rolled up his sleeves, "I want to challenge you!"
"That Obito..." At this moment, Rin finally had no choice but to cautiously pull Obito back, just as she was about to say something.
"Rin, let go of me! I want to duel him!"
"Obito, actually... Kakashi has already made three deliveries!"
"What three deliveries? I want to..." Obito paused, staring blankly at Rin. "Huh? He has already made three deliveries?" Then, he looked at Kakashi in disbelief. After a moment, he exclaimed, "Impossible! How could he be so fast?"
"Idiot!"
"You must be lying to me!"
"Idiot!"
"Ahhhh, I want to fight you!"
At this moment...
"Be quiet." The shop owner shouted helplessly, "We just received two more deliveries; you two need to hurry up and deliver them. After you deliver them… you will get free bubble tea!"
"Damn it! I can't believe I even lost to Kakashi at delivering bubble tea!" Obito sadly covered his eyes, but a moment later, his eyes sparkled with determination as he accepted the prepared bubble tea. "This time I won't lose! Kakashi!"
Without waiting for Kakashi to respond, he dashed out.
"That idiot!" Kakashi sighed helplessly, shaking his head as he looked at the equally exasperated shop owner. He accepted the bubble tea, saying, "I'll deliver it safely."
You have to understand: bubble tea... not only has to be delivered quickly, but you also have to remember not to mix it up!
So, that idiot running so fast... if it gets mixed up, that's one thing, but if he drops it and spills it, he would have to run back again!
…
On the other side.
"Aren't you coming in, Minato?" Uchiha Yuto leaned against the railing, glancing at Minato, who was drinking bubble tea with him and smiled slightly. "As the team leader, it's not good for you to just slack off here with me!"
Looking down from here, he could see his milk tea shop.
At this stage, his business philosophy was to expand wherever possible, with the goal of reaching every town in the ninja world!
"Haha! It's rare to take a break without worrying about them getting into trouble, and I can enjoy some free milk tea on this mission—I'm really satisfied!" Minato laughed heartily, his laughter radiating warmth and cheer. No wonder some called him the "Little Sun."
His smile was incredibly infectious.
"On the way back, please get a strawberry smoothie; Kushina loves that. Also, get a strawberry mousse box, and remember to put some ice in the bag. By the way, you haven't visited Kushina for a while, and she's quite upset about it."
"I've been busy lately! And don't forget to pay me!"
"No problem! Just deduct it from my share of the reward."
"Your reward was all given to Lord Hokage," Yuto retorted with a hint of annoyance, but he didn't take it seriously. He wasn't actually after the money; it was just a joke. Looking at Kakashi, who was running steadily below, he said, "How about you let me take your student? He has a great talent for being a delivery person! If he works for two years, I'll directly promote him to the head of the delivery department. That's way more interesting than being a ninja."
"Hehe." Minato chuckled awkwardly, shaking his head helplessly. "Yuto, stop joking. You know Kakashi's situation all too well."
"True enough!"
Aside from him, Uchiha Yuto, who else could transition from being a ninja to running a business?
He had become a disgrace to the ninja community, but it didn't matter; whenever he went to donate money, the old guy Third Hokage still welcomed him with a smile.
As for Kakashi...
When the rumors about Sakumo were flying back in the day, he hadn't yet made a name for himself, so there wasn't much he could do, especially since being a member of the Uchiha clan was pretty dangerous back then.
If it were now...
He could easily drop a sponsorship fee and persuade Kakashi to withdraw from being a ninja and recruit him as a brand ambassador. Who knows if he would agree?
Thinking of this, he chuckled helplessly. "I still need to work hard!"
Maybe the amount of money could surprise him?
"Yes! They still have to work hard!" Minato replied, taking a sip of mango iced tea and sighing. Then, he spoke with determination, "But I believe they will become excellent ninjas." He looked at Yuto, who had a helpless expression. "What about you, Yuto? Are you really not going to be a ninja?"
Yuto was one year younger than him and was quite a genius; he had been well-known in the academy, originally capable of graduating early. However, he had turned it down, saying, "I'm not mature enough yet; there's still a lot of knowledge I need to learn from my teachers!"
He also had a strong will of fire; it was said that the new textbooks in the academy had started to include several of his representative articles.
Each one reflected his unwavering spirit of the will of fire!
He was indeed a serious, diligent, and talented ninja.
Everyone thought that way.
They believed a genius had emerged from the Uchiha clan, but little did they know... he had ventured into business instead.
"I heard Lord Hokage praised you today! Even as a businessman, you haven't forgotten the will of fire."
"After all, I'm a merchant of the village~" Yuto said with a natural smile.
Of course, deep down...
Praise me? They are praising me for my money!
"Is that so?" Minato laughed heartily. He probably guessed why Uchiha Yuto didn't want to be a ninja. After all, the Uchiha clan... Yuto simply wanted to use his methods to change the Uchiha clan.
He patted Yuto on the shoulder. "Let's work together to change everything, Yuto! I hope to see you wearing a ninja headband one day and becoming a true ninja! It's time to wrap up the missions here; I should take them back."
With that, he flipped over the railing, clapped his hands, and called for his subordinates, who had just returned from delivering orders.
Only Uchiha Yuto watched helplessly as Minato went below. "Who wants to be a ninja?"
Wouldn't it be nice for him to be the richest man in the ninja world?
...
"I'm back!"
Competing with Kakashi was exhausting.
But damn it!
He lost again!
Obito, carrying his tired body and holding a fruit tea in his hand, opened the door and immediately saw his grandmother changing her shoes at the entrance.
His grandmother was wearing a strange blue and white, tight-fitting sports outfit, and her grayish-white hair was tied up. It seemed she was preparing to go out.
Obito was taken aback and curiously asked, "Grandma, where are you going?"
"Oh, Obito, you're back? Dinner is ready; it's in the pot. Just serve it yourself." His grandma looked up, smiling kindly at him. "Tonight, there's an event for the elders in the clan; it seems they're going to dance or something. I'll go check it out. After dinner, please wash the dishes, and I'll do the rest when I come back."
After saying that, she opened the door and walked out, leaving Obito with a puzzled expression as he watched her leave.
"Dance?"
What kind of dance?
