THE CONSIGLIERE AWAKENING: Ultimate villain system

Chapter 1: DEATH AND DEAL

DEATH

January 20th, 2000

He highlighted from his car, wearing a perfectly cut out blue suit that accentuated his perfectly chiseled body. This place was in the middle of nowhere which made it weird. So, he decided to make the call.

"Julio, how's it going?" The voice of the young man came over the phone.

"I'm here but how certain are you that this is the place? I mean, it looks empty at the moment." He said to him,

"Exactly. It's their plot to make it look like they are not there. You should go inside and check." The young man responded.

Julio definitely felt something was off but he had to do this. The fact remained that unless he could get this sorted out, his young master would never be safe.

"Fine, Pedro. I'm going in now." He said as he hung up.

His hands reached for his gun that was kept well on his thigh holster as he cocked it. He started sneaking around the area, hoping to catch them unawares. The whole atmosphere was eerie but he had his mind made up as he suddenly kicked open the doors to the warehouse.

The inside was no different from the outside. Just the emptiness of the place resounding and making it all weird. He started sneaking inside and it was not until he had gotten to the other end and opened a door that he realised this place was empty. He decided to make the call again, maybe Pedro was mistaken.

"Pedro, Questo posto è vuoto." Which translated to the place being empty.

There was silence from the other end although he could hear the breathing from Pedro.

"Pedro?" He called him. At this point, he was beginning to suspect foul play.

"I'm sorry, consigliere but you were my father's man." Pedro said to him.

It suddenly dawned on him how Don Picasso had died inside the house. The culprit was his own son.

"Traitor!" He yelled as he was trying to run away just as he threw the phone away but it was too late.

BOOM!!!

There was suddenly a burst of vivid colour as the deafening sound aided the impact that propelled his body all the way across the room and slammed him against the wall.

It was an explosion and Julio laid on the floor barely alive as he had been torn in a number of places and was bleeding out slowly. The glasses from the windows had shattered and were embedded all over his body including his face. He tried to feel for it but his hands were gone as well and there was smoke everywhere.

There he laid, a breathing mass of flesh, awaiting his death to come. In that moment, flashes of memory crossed his mind up until the moment he had been called to see his master's stabbed body in the piano room. He had been murdered in his own house.

All he could think of me as vengeance. He needed to make Pedro pay for everything and he started praying. It was something he never did before but it seemed like the only thing that would save him. Only, he did not pray to God.

"I know it's weird but if you grant me a chance at vengeance, then you may have my soul, Lucifer. It would be yours to serve or punish." He muttered in pain.

There was a whoosh of breeze that brushed against his cheeks and then he remained there battling with his last breaths. It was a while when he started hearing footsteps. Perhaps, he was not hearing it right or this was the grim reaper coming for his soul.

"Wow, he's still alive." Someone said,

"Not for long." Another voice said. He would recognise that voice anywhere. It was the voice of their arch villain.

Someone then came up to look over him.

"Can you see me?" He asked as he waved his hands over his face. "Eye movements. He's definitely alive. This bastard is definitely hard to kill."

"Pedro?" Julio muttered in pain. "Why?"

"Well, let's say that I'm tired of playing second fiddle to you. And if you're wondering, I killed Don Picasso." He said.

"Your father-" Julio managed again.

"Cut the crap. You were more son to him than I would ever be. All he did was compare me with you and speak about my lifestyle. Guess what, you will be keeping him company soon." Pedro said to him.

"Pedro, we don't have time. Let's be done with it and leave already." The other man said to him.

"Any final thoughts before you rest for good?" Pedro asked him.

"Cigarette?" Julio asked.

Pedro smirked but decided to oblige him. He reached into his pocket as he fished out a cigarette which he lit and then put it in his mouth. Julio drew a long breath from it and then closed his eyes. He knew what was coming next and braced himself for impact. It was not long before suddenly he felt it, the impact of something piercing through his forehead and crashing his skull.

He had been shot point-blank and the pain lasted for a moment and then he opened his eyes.

Wait, what?

Why were they open?

Where was all the pain?

That was when he saw that he was still in the warehouse and the bastards were having a laugh over his death. He watched closely as his arch villain, Facino, started unbuckling his belt as he pees over his dead body.

Julio was more pissed at the further discretion than the murder.

"Rest in hell, bastard." Facino said to him and then nodded to his men as they came over and poured gasoline over his body.

He already knew what they were going to do but was not able to witness it as suddenly he was pulled downwards and he started descending.

He gave no care at all to where he might be going anymore, he just wanted to go far away but then he fell hard on something. It was a rock and slowly, he rose up as he observed his surroundings. It was dark here and only the flashes of lighting gave a brief light. That and the blood red sky above him.

Where was this place and why was he here?

"And I thought you would be excited that I took you out right before you witnessed your body get further violated." A man's voice said to him and he turned in that direction.

There was no one there, making him really confused.

"Who are you?" Julio demanded.

"I'm offended. You don't recognise me?" He demanded.

"I can't recognise what I do not see. Just tell me who you are and where I am." Julio demanded.

"Remember you called for me and I answered. I mean, you were going to be mine anyways thanks to the number of people you killed but I never expected that you would pray to me in my wildest dreams. That has always been my father's thing and I felt compelled to help." The voice continued.

Slowly, it dawned on Julio who he was speaking to and where he was. He had never actually thought that anyone would listen to him.

"You're Lucifer." Julio said.

"Yes. And I always show up for those who want me but at a cost." He said.

"So, would you help me?" Julio demanded.

"Well, let's say that I would make my own demands. See, I can have you sent back but you must do something for me." Lucifer said.

Julio was wishing that he could see him at the moment but he would probably have to pray that he had not gone mad in the spirit world and was speaking to a figment of his imagination.

"You already have my soul. What more do you want?" Julio demanded.

"Let's see. I will torment your soul for sometime then I will send you back with the best help I can offer you. Once you are done with your revenge, I shall then claim your soul and put it to use for myself." He stated. "Do we have a deal?"

There was nothing to consider.

"How long must I be tormented?" Julio asked.

"You'll see eventually. Now, is that a deal?" Lucifer demanded yet again.

"Deal and do I get to see you?" Julio demanded.

"Bye now." The voice said and suddenly he was whooshed some place and he woke up in agony.

Julio was in chains as a flesh eating demon was busy gnawing at him. He felt every pain there was and wondered if he had been scammed. He felt so much pain inflicted on him but in all, he had one thing in mind, he was going to get his revenge no matter how long it takes.

Sad because it took longer than he would ever anticipate. The pain and torment.

Each time his flesh finished, it regenerated, beginning the circle all over.

There was just one name to keep him going which he would scream out so he does not forget.

"Pedro Picasso!"
