The Big Bang Assassin (The Big Bang Theory)

Chapter 3: Chapter 3: 9 Years

Nine years have passed since I was reborn into this world as a cousin of the Cooper family. My current name is Connor Kenway, yes, just like the assassin Connor Kenway from the period during the American Revolution (1765 to 1783). But, I believe there was no Order of Assassins in this world because there is no mention of it in any historical books, except, of course, the Masons. Returning to the subject, apparently, I possess or am in a parallel universe of "The Young Sheldon" because there is no Cooper cousin with the surname Kenway.

I learned from Grandma Connie that her daughter, Anastacia Cooper, married a Briton with the surname Kenway. That's why my name is Connor Kenway and not Connor Cooper. I overheard, in between the lines, while hiding to listen to the conversation of the older members of the Cooper family, that my mother and father had a car accident when I was one year old. Apparently, they left me with the Coopers when they traveled to see the Grand Canyon.

The Coopers, seeing me alone in the world, took me in, occasionally telling stories about my mother and father and how they were. But, to be honest, I have no memories of them, so I have no sense of belonging or filial pity for them, but I maintained my minimum respect for the people who brought this body into the world. So, I just pretended to listen to what they said with a tone of longing in my voice, occasionally exclaiming "Wow" "Gee".

Currently, I am going to Melford Secondary School with the little and the big George, even though I am three years older than them, the little George is in the same grade as me. The reason for this? I really don't want to spend too much time in school with kids, so I asked Mary and Grandma Connie to help me talk to the principal to skip a grade.

So, here I am going to school with the big and the little George, who are currently talking about rugby.

"So, Connor, are you excited to start school with the older students?" George said with a mischievous smile. "You know, in my day, we took advantage of our age, went from year to year, and today I don't regret it because you only go to school once," said the big George.

"You, did you take advantage of your age or didn't you skip a grade because you didn't have the ability to skip it?" I ask back, returning the mischievous smile they gave me.

"You!" he says helplessly with my words while gently tapping my head and saying embarrassedly, "Of course I took advantage of my age. If I could, I would skip a grade, just like you and little Sheldon."

"Speaking of Sheldon, don't bully your brother, you know how he is kind of..." "weird," says George Jr. "You, who said that, not me. I was going to say unique," says George trying to get out of where he got into.

"I would say eccentric, but of course, I'm more inclined to the little George." Despite being the protagonist of my favorite series, Sheldon is not exactly an easy person to live with. Very irritating to say the least. The desire to hit him completely outweighs my fascination with him in the series, so from time to time I do one thing or another that he doesn't even realize was me.

"But, I agree with George, we have to protect our little prince charming from the evils of the world. Otherwise, the evil queen will get angry," I joke with the words while the little George snorts and the big George laughs.

"Don't tell Mary that I called her the evil queen," I say with a slight tremor in my voice. When Mary caught me doing dangerous or stupid things, she would make me read four to five verses from the Bible, a true religious fanatic.

"Hahaha, sure, sure," says George.

"But why protect only Sheldon, and me?!" I say shouting indignantly at the injustice.

"You?!" asks George. "Of course, where did you see, I'm twelve years old, the guys in my class are sixteen, of course, I would be intimidated," I say puffing.

"Did you hear that, George?" says the big George. "Yes, dad," says the little George. "I feel like I just heard the funniest joke of my life. Connor Kenway being intimidated. That would be true if I hadn't seen you sending a pencil into the leg of a boy who was yelling at you," says George Jr indignantly. "Hey, I said it was an accident, it wasn't intentional."

"Sure, sure. Say whatever you want, but we know the pencil was blunt," says little George, looking at me with a poker face.

"Stop it, guys. Connor will never need protection, let's talk about something else. How about this weekend we go fishing?"

"Are there going to be girls?!"

"Of course not, dummy, the only female you'll find on a fishing trip is full of fish eggs," I say wondering how stupid this guy is.

"So that means there will be," says little George, exclaiming with joy imagining himself picking up a girl on the fishing trip with a basket full of fish eggs, even though he has no idea what that is.

"No," I exclaim in unison with big George.

"Then I won't go, it will be boring anyway, I'd rather stay at home."

"And stay watching those magazines you hide in the pipe? Honestly, your room is disgusting. Mary found the magazines you hide last week, she wants George to have that conversation with you."

"Noooo," he screams in despair, and quickly thinks of another hiding place for his magazines.

"I'll only go fishing if we fish like the bears from Russia," I say excitedly.

"Like who? What does Russia have to do with fishing?" asks George.

"Like the bears, with guns and grenades. It's fun, trust me," I say to George.

"Hmmph, without grenades, we can take the shotgun and your grandfather's guns," says George confused by the situation, imagining himself fishing with guns.

"Sure, we just have to tell Grandma Connie about it, and not tell Mary, at least Connie knows how to keep secrets," I say excitedly, eagerly awaiting the weekend.

In Texas, 7 out of 10 citizens have guns at home, so it's no surprise to have some in the Cooper family.

We drive to school in George's pickup truck.
