The Awakened Blader

"Th-this is the first time anyone's ever gotten a point on me! This is amazing!!!" He bellows.

He quickly grabs his bey and readies again.

"Let's run that back!" He exclaims.

"Hehe I'm startin to enjoy this beybladin thing." Kodai said.

Kodai looks down at the beyblade in his hand and he feels parts of it moving.

He presses on the contacts and they spin around the layer. When he removes the pressure it bounds back.

Huh spring defense.

Round 2 starts and both beys clash at breakneck speeds.

"I'm gonna break through that impenetrable defense of yours! I'm the unstoppable force!" He roars.

"And I'm the immovable object!" Kodai bellows.

Instead of a singular clash like before the boy's bey slams into Kodai's like a barrage from every direction.

His bey stops the barrage as it begins circling and speeding up.

"This'll break your defense, Leviathan! Tyranni Manus!!!" The Tyrant bellows.

Kodai clashes with him.

Click, click, click!

His bey repeatedly clicks has the bound defense is pushed to its limit repeatedly.

In one swift movement Kodai experiences his first burst.

"1-2 by burst in favor of Tyrant! As some of you may know due to this being the finals the match will be extended to first to 5!" The ref declares.

Elizabeth let's out a sigh of relief that the battle wasn't over yet.

Round 3 begins and both beys circle the stadium with immense speed.

Leviathan attempts to slam into Kodai's bey but misses slamming into the stadium wall.

I know what I must do, but it makes me feel so weak!

Kodai keeps moving, he periodically changes his movements so as to keep prediction out of the equation.

Leviathan makes another attempt but it slams into the stadium wall yet again.

"I know what you're doing! Face me head on coward!" He yelled.

"You asked for it!" Kodai responded.

Both beys meet in the center for yet another clash.

Click,click

Both beys click but only one bursted.

"That was a pretty cowardly way to battle." He said.

"I know and I'm never doing it again." Kodai responded.

The next round starts and they meet in the center just like the first round but this time both beys push eachother to the bursting point and it's a simultaneous burst. So is the next round and the round after that they are evenly matched for several hours and this goes on for a while.

At round ten Tyrant is exhausted and sweating profusely.

Kodai may not be sweating but he was at his mental limit.

Kodai looks back at Elizabeth.

"Elizabeth what do you want me to do?" He asked.

"For once call me Liz you idiot and I want you to put everything you have into one launch!" She declared.

"Anything for you Liz" He says.

He puts his bey back on the launcher and prepares for another round.

"I'm..I'm... gonna... win!" Tyrant says exhaustion evident in his voice.

"Nah she wants me to win so I'm winnin." He declared.

The boy's launch again yet this time it's different. As Kodai pulls on his launcher string he let's out a guttural roar and his forearm veins bulge as he pumps every bit of power he can muster into this one launch.

When he's done with the launch the launcher stops with a sizzle and a grinds to a muffled stop.

Both beys enter the stadium both stronger than ever despite the exhaustion. This has a special effect on Kodai's bey as the contacts expand out as something within changes.

The beys begin to light up with an other worldly sparkle as they meet in the center for the most straight forward and honorable confrontation they know, a clash of raw power.

The boy's pump out all the power they can into this one ferocious clash.

"Leviathan!!!" He roared.

"Voro!" Kodai roared.

With a kachink time seems to stop for the boys as one of them seizes the ultimate victory they've ever felt and the other experiences the first the loss in their life.

As the peices begin to fall to the stadium floor one bey stands tall in the center proudly flaunting it excess rotational energy.

"The match ends with a score of 5-2 Kodai wins with a burst finish!" The ref declares.

The crowd erupts as they have a new local champion.

"Oh its already over..." Kodai said before stepping away from the stadium.

He is stopped by someone's exclamations.

"Hey! I'll beat you next time and it'll be a beat down like you've never seen!" He exclaims.

"Oh and what makes you say that?" Kodai asks.

"I'm still new to beyblading!" He declares.

"How long?" Kodai asks.

"One week!" He declared shocking nearly everyone there.

"Hah that's nothin!" Liz declares.

"What!?" The boy asks.

"Kodai has only launched a beyblade once before this tournament AND he has never trained a day in his life!" She declares.

"Hah lies!" He retorts.

"Nuh uh!" She defends.

The boy looks at Kodai for reaffirmation but only gets a shrug of the shoulders.

"W-wah?" He just stands there in disbelief as they leave.

On the way home Liz makes a bunch of sound effects as she reenacting the battle with enhanced creative touches.

"Ah I will do anything for you my love~" She says mimicking Kodai's speech mid battle.

"That's not what he said though." Elijah said.

"But it's his hearts truth, right Kodai dear!" He declared.

"I don't even know what that means..." He said bluntly.

"Ugh your english still ain't perfect..." she complained.

"It has only been a month since he started learning." Elijah said.

"I know I know... anyway Kodai wanna give me a piggyback I'll make sure to hold on extra tight~" She teased.

"Sure-" He said.

"Can't complain about you willingness to assist!" She says as she jumps on his back.
