Chapter 1: The awakening!
Somewhere in the sky a bright light had collided with the earths atmosphere before shooting down towards a set of ruins where it crashes into the top of the ruins. The blue energy of the light flows through etched lines in the ruins eventually flowing into a large cylinder.
The etched lines on the cylinder are filled and it opens with a fwsh.
Steam bellows out as a young boy steps out holding his head while surveying his surroundings.
All he sees is a large empty room with etched on the walls and a black. robe on a pedestal in front of him.
He puts on the robe since it was his only form of apparel available to him at the moment.
He feels along the walls trying to find a way out and at some point he hears a zzz ding.
The door flies open and he steps outfitting himself on a set of many steps almost as if a large display meant for many people to see.
He descends the steps and walks some distance before stopping at a waterfall.
Even though he has never played a video game before he somehow knows there's something on the other side that's how expansive video games are.
He steps through the waterfall finally seeing the sky and the sun for the first time since waking.
He covers his eyes the sun hurting them with its intense rays as he surveys the environment with his other senses.
After a little time he smells something... it's blood!
He rushes through the winding ruins jumping over fallen pillars and ascending to roofs to get past dead ends.
In the distance he sees a girl running from a large grizzly, only surviving by ducking through ruined alleys.
Her arm had already been grazed by the bear, letting out a single drop of blood.
He lands on the bear, gripping onto its fur to not fall off.
The bear stops and roars slamming itself into the ruin walls.
He tightens his grip to stay on as he inches towards the bear neck. He wraps his arms around the bears neck and squeezes.
The bear collapses to the ground, it's neck a wrangled mess.
The boy lands on the ground dusting off his robe.
The girl runs up to him and stares at him.
He raises a brow at the girl and she snaps out of her stuppor.
"Hey I'm a Elizabeth what's your name!?" She asks.
He just stares at her not understanding her words.
"You don't understand me do you..." she crosses her arms trying to think of a way to get her point across.
She points at herself and says her name again.
"E LIZ AH BETH!" She says loudly.
She then points at him and raises her brow.
He nods his head and shrugs his shoulder.
She goes back to thinking then looks around at the ruins then at your robes.
"Kodai" she points and shouts.
He repeats her pointing at her.
"Elizabeth" He says.
He then points at himself.
"Kodai" He says.
"Yes! I learned that in my Japanese book it means ancient or something which is very fitting since I found you in these ruins." She says.
She urges him with her as she searches the ruins further. As they wander the ruins they find many things like etchings on the walls in the shape of dragons or circles with vaguely dragon shaped things on them and a couple full on master dragon sculptures.
They make it back to the room where Kodai woke up and she begins to marvel at the intricate etchings of dragons on the walls floor and ceiling.
There were dragons of many types but there was one dragon on the back wall bigger than all the others with a mountain to scale it. The mountain was no bigger than the tip of its smallest claw.
"Woah these guys sure loved dragons but does that thing even count as a dragon? It looks more like if godzilla and Mothra had a baby and fed it a hundred steroids every day since birth!" She remarks.
She looks back at Kodai for his opinion but instead finds him with his hand on the pod he woke up in.
Upon noticing her gaze he begins reenacting waking up from the pod.
"So you woke up in here? I mean that would explain the weird clothing and you not understanding me but that could also be explained by you being a foreign cosplayer..." she said.
"Buut I also saw you snap a bears neck like it was nothing so I guess I'll believe you for now."
They were searching some more but kodai stops her.
"What?" She asks.
Kodai begins trying to explain but eventually just gives up and urges her to follow.
They run out of the ruins into the woods in a straight line and after a couple minutes of running they run into a man.
"Dad what are you doing bere?" She asks.
"You don't get to ask questions! You just run away to wander in some ruins when you know bears are around here, I ought to ground you for a week!" He scolds.
"But dad, I found a friend!" She says.
He looks over at kodai.
"And who are you young man?" He asks.
"Kodai."
"That's all he knows in English he homeless and an amnesiac!" She quickly explains.
"Mhm and?" He asks.
"So can he stay with us atleast until we find out who his family is?"
"Hmm we don't have any extra room..." He ponders.
"Don't worry we have that old bed and he can sleep in my room!" She excitedly exclaims.
"I dunno..." He says.
"Pleaaaaaaassseeeee" she begs.
"Fine fine but he's gonna pull his own weight."
