Chapter 15: Decision (15)
Aaron turned around to face two new individuals, one of whom he recognized. "Daichi, my old friend. How's that left nut treating you?" Aaron greeted with a smile, causing Daichi to flinch and a flicker of anger to appear on his face.
"I can't let you harm my little bull just yet. He hasn't served his purpose," a woman wearing heels interjected, asserting her presence.
"You're outnumbered, Aaron. Don't try anything funny," Daichi warned, seemingly pleased that he finally had Aaron cornered.
"Ah, but you see, you can't take him. I honestly couldn't care less, but I do have a question," Aaron stated, his gaze shifting to the woman in heels.
"What might that be?" the woman inquired, her eyes fixed on him.
"You're a 5/10 on a good day, and that pink hair isn't changing that fact," Aaron taunted, walking away with a smile before she could retort. He had successfully gotten under her skin, but he didn't stick around to witness her reaction. He had better things to do, like annoying Tsumuri to no end or anyone else for that matter. He might even playfully insinuate to Keiwa that he had fooled around with his sister if he felt like it.
In his mind, Aaron didn't even consider how the girl would feel, being played with in such a manner. For personal reasons, he couldn't bring himself to care, despite his best efforts. He perceived himself as an anomaly, something that shouldn't exist, something that shouldn't have been born—a being with an unstable mind. During most fights, his sole focus was on survival, and nothing else.
"You are a being unfit to be loved, you are worthless." Those particular words played in his mind, but he pushed them aside. That was all behind him now, and he had no intention of shedding any more tears over it. His eyes had run dry. Aaron made his way back to the Kamen Rider headquarters, spending the rest of his time tinkering with his watch.
Meanwhile, elsewhere...
"Once I get my hands on him, I will murder him. I will break him," Michinaga seethed with rage, while the woman in the background simply laughed. Her giggles reverberated in the air, as she found great amusement in his suffering. "Looks like he's got Michi all worked up," she remarked, a smile adorning her face. She crushed the candy in her hand before uttering, "Who does he think he is?" Aaron's comment had deeply angered her.
Within this base, three out of the four humans residing there harbored an intense hatred for Aaron, with Michinaga's hatred being the most fervent.
Meanwhile...
Neon and Sae searched for the watermelons that could save Sae's family. They located the base, and Tsumuri instructed them to eliminate the bomber and take down the leader.
The battle ensued, bombs were thrown, and everyone fought valiantly. Aaron observed the situation from a distance, noticing Sae's desperation. Clutching the driver in his hand, he hesitated, contemplating his next move. He trembled with uncertainty before he gazed at Sae once more and muttered, "Fuck it."
He rushed toward the battlefield, reaching Sae's side. Before she could say anything, he handed her a High Fever buckle. "A good master should look after his property, shouldn't he?" Aaron remarked, his eyes fixed on Sae. Although slightly annoyed by his comment, Sae still appreciated the gesture. She accepted the buckle and used it, experiencing an unexpectedly advantageous outcome. She proceeded to eliminate everything in her path, eventually discovering that the color she was searching for was blue and yellow.
With incredible speed, she raced back home while Aaron remained lost in his thoughts. What had driven him to act in such a way, he didn't know, nor did he currently care.
