The Adeventures of DeadPool (and Young Justice)

Chapter 45: far crying pit~

Wade's POV

I woke up to a whole lot of weight on my back, which was weird, because I distinctly remember my last dream was about lounging on a yacht surrounded by bikini-clad models. Instead, here I was, feeling like someone had used me as a chair. Scratch that—a rock.

A voice cut through my half-conscious haze. "Well, well, look at what the tide dragged in."

I squinted through the dirt and sand in my eyes. The guy sitting on me was grinning like he'd just found the world's most uncomfortable chair—and I was it. "You comfy?" I muttered, trying to figure out where the hell I was.

"Comfy?" The guy laughed, his voice sharp and unhinged. "Man, you got jokes, huh? You don't even know who I am, do you?"

I gave him another once-over, slower this time. "Hmm, let's see… shaved head, got that 'I raped my teacher for fun' vibe. Tattoos that scream 'I'm totally into tribal but have zero actual culture behind it.' Plus, I'm guessing there's a 70% chance your family reunions involve, uh… closer than normal relations. Am I close?"

he blinked, then grinned like I'd just given him the biggest compliment ever. "Oh man, I like you. You're fucking hilarious."

The guy chuckled, a sound that sent shivers down my spine. "Name's Vaas. But you can call me your new best friend." He shifted, and I realized he was sitting on me. "Well, if you can manage to stand up without dying, that is."

"Yeah, I mean, why not? Just your typical sunday," I shot back, managing to push myself up on my elbows. "Why am I in the sand exactly~"

Vaas laughed again, and there was something about that laugh that made me feel like a cornered animal. "Welcome to Rook Island, amigo! This is paradise… if you're into being hunted by animals or becoming a cannibal's dinner."

"Sounds like my kind of place," I replied sarcastically, my eyes scanning the area. "And let me guess, you're the local tour guide?"

"More like your executioner," Vaas said, leaning in close, his smile growing wider. "But I might be feeling generous today. You're lucky I found you before my boys turned you into fish food."

"Wow, how sweet," I smirked, trying to keep my bravado intact. "Are you sure you didn't just save me to make me your personal chair? Because I see your sense of humor, and I'm not sure I'm ready for that level of insanity."

Vaas chuckled, a sound that felt both welcoming and dangerously unstable. "You're funny. I like that. But I think you'll be more fun when you're a little more… desperate."

I raised an eyebrow, my instincts kicking in. "Desperate? Is this a romantic comedy I didn't sign up for?"

"Not quite. But let's see how you handle the big cats," he said, his grin widening. "You're about to go on a little adventure."

Before I could protest, he waved over his crew, and I found myself hoisted up, arms locked behind my back. "Wait, where are we going?" I shouted

Vaas leaned over the edge, looking down at me with a gleeful expression. "Welcome to the Pit of fun! You see those lions? Only one creature can get out of there alive."

"Great! So it's either me or them? What's the plan here, exactly?" I shouted,

"Simple!" Vaas replied, still grinning. "You fight, and I watch. It'll be fun!"

Before I could respond, they threw me into the pit. I landed with a thud, the air knocked from my lungs. I scrambled to my feet, adrenaline kicking in as I faced the three lions prowling around me.

"Okay, guys! Let's talk this out, huh?" I said, raising my hands. "I'm not looking for any trouble. Just a friendly chat!"

The lions growled in response, their eyes narrowing as they began to circle me. "Oh great! Now I'm begging cats! Why do the author wants to see me eaten so bad?"

(Try to preserve your energy,we can't afford you losing conscious for the million time already!)

The first lion lunged at me with a deafening roar. "Oh, come on! This is how you greet a new friend?" I shouted, barely dodging its claws as I rolled to the side. My heart raced as I scrambled back to my feet, desperately trying to gauge my next move.

Then, in a flash, the second lion pounced, its powerful jaws snapping dangerously close. "Not today!" I yelled, sidestepping again. But just as I thought I was safe, the lion's teeth caught my arm, sinking into the flesh of my tattooed hand.

The pain was sharp, but in that moment, something strange happened. I could feel the energy from the lion draining away, pulsing through my body like an electric current. The glowing Death Tattoo on my arm flared brightly, pulling the life force from the lion as it staggered back, weakened.

"Whoa! This is... kinda awesome!" I grinned, feeling a surge of strength welling up inside me. I suddenly found myself growing, my senses sharpening. My vision cleared, and I could see every detail around me.

I glanced at my hands and noticed they were transforming—my fingers elongated, nails turning into sharp, menacing claws. My teeth felt sharper too, Fangs growing larger and more pronounced. Even my hair seemed to grow longer, turning a wild shade of blonde, though my skin remained as pale and patchy as ever.

Channeling this newfound power, I charged at the second lion, feeling a strange confidence surging through me. I tackled it to the ground, using my enhanced strength to pin it down. With a primal instinct I didn't know I had, I opened my mouth wide and bit down on its neck.

The lion let out a horrified yowl, thrashing beneath me as I bit deeper. I could feel its essence pouring into me, filling me with an exhilarating rush. I pulled back, roaring triumphantly, a sound that echoed off the walls of the pit—a roar that made the first lion whine in fear.

"Oh yeah, I could get used to this!" I laughed, my voice deeper and more resonant than before.

Vaas's voice boomed from above, cutting through the chaos. "whaaat the heeeeell, these tattoos!"

Before I could respond, Vaas pulled out his gun and fired a shot at the last remaining lion. The bullet struck it in the shoulder, and it roared in pain, its eyes wide with fury as it turned to Vaas.

I looked up at Vaas, who was watching with a mix of amusement and disbelief. "So, what's next, Vaas? More fun?"

"Citra sent you, didn't she? Well, let's see if you can handle more than just animals!" Vaas called, his laughter mingling with the roars of the lions.

The lion let out a terrified whimper as I leaned down, baring my teeth in a feral grin. "Don't be afraid!,i will be gentle~"

The lion let out a terrified whimper as I leaned down, baring my teeth in a feral grin.

But this time, instead of killing the lion, I cut my hand open with my own claws, allowing my blood to drip into its mouth. As my blood mixed with its life force, the glow of the Life Tattoo on my arm intensified, illuminating the pit with a golden light. The lion trembled beneath me, and in an instant, I felt the transformation reverse

With a burst of energy, I got back to my human form, standing tall over the lion. My heart raced as I felt that my newly gained power lost again.

Vaas, clearly entertained, called out, "Well, look who's back! Let's see if you can handle more than just big cats!"

Before I could respond, two of his pirates charged in, swords drawn. They lunged at me simultaneously, but I was ready. I ducked and rolled, narrowly avoiding their blades.

"Nice try, fellas!" I taunted, quickly snatching up the fallen swords from the ground. I made an athletic move, spinning around to deliver a swift strike to both pirates at the same time. The swords glinted in the dim light as I brought them down with precision, taking them both out in one fluid motion.

"Oh, how's that for a dual kill?" I laughed, reveling in the chaos.

With my adrenaline pumping, I turned my attention to the remaining two pirates, who were aiming their AK-47s at me. I was about to make my move when one of them pulled the trigger, sending a bullet whizzing past me.

"Whoa! Not cool, dude!" I shouted, narrowly dodging the shot.

In a fit of mischief, I decided to throw caution to the wind. "You guys remind me of those lion tamer shows!" I shouted, brandishing my swords like a crazy performer. "Too bad the lions don't know how to aim!"

I lunged forward, launching the swords I had just used at the two pirates. One struck true, piercing the throat of the first pirate, while the second managed to lose only his hand....i am sure they have some insurance~

But before I could act, the last pirate got a shot off, with the bullets getting slow by my handsmbut still hitting me in eyes. "Ow! That was rude!" I yelled,

Just as the last pirate started to laugh, thinking he had the upper hand, I let out a deep, echoing roar that surprised even myself. It sounded almost animalistic, as if the spirit of the lion was resonating within me.

The injured lion at my side surged forward, pouncing on the last pirate. "And this is why you don't mess with a lion's meal!" I quipped, watching as the lion took down the pirate, jaws snapping around him in a swift, merciless bite.

As I stood over the fallen bodies, panting and exhilarated, I looked back up at Vaas, who was clapping slowly, clearly entertained by the spectacle. "Well, well, you certainly know how to make an entrance!" he said, eyes glinting with madness.

"Just trying to steal the spotlight!" I replied, catching my breath. "Next time, I want bigger prey!"

Vaas stepped closer to the edge of the pit, a crazed grin plastered on his face. "This is just the beginning, Wade. I have plans for you."
