The 7th Great God (Overlord Fan Fiction)

Chapter 87: Return Home

The trip Night Silver had originally embarked upon was meant to be a simple one. One of common understanding and agreement. However, it had turned out to be anything but that, having to avenge the deaths of a number of her elven children by way of killing those who she had once thought of as friends. It really is a shame… But oh well. That's what people like that get. She thought as she and the goddess of water escorted the people migrating from the Theocracy.

"I can tell when you're worrying about something." The Water Goddess spoke up, having been keeping a keen eye on her dear friend.

"Oh, I was just thinking about what happened earlier. It's a shame I had to kill them, but with actions like that death is almost too good for them." Night Silver answered, with a tender tone.

"Why don't we resurrect them so you can kill them again? They'll get progressively weaker each time too." The water goddess suggested with a happy smirk. The look only made her idea all the more terrifying.

"Pfft, that sounds like fun. Though, I'd rather make sure these people are able to live in a safe place." Night Silver giggled, looking around to the large group of people floating behind her. "They deserve a safe place to live in peace, to live out the lives they want to live." She smiled, holding the little girl in her arms a little tighter.

"Huh? Mommy? What is that over there?" The little girl asked, pointing out into the distance.

"Oh my, they really were putting in the work while I was gone. It's only been a day…" Night Silver said. "That is the place I've been working on. It's a really beautiful place." She added, and then noted that a large creature was flying this way.

"AH! A dragon!" The people screamed. However, Night Silver smiled at all of them, calming their nerves instantly.

"Ah, Big Sister, it's you. You're home already?" Moigit said, having stopped to hover in the path everyone was taking.

"Yes, my business ended a bit more quickly than I was expecting. And as a result I have many refugees that need a place to live. So I'll be integrating them into our place." Night Silver explained.

Moigit looked at the number of people coming in, it was like he was counting them. "Hmm, we have plenty of emergency beds. But not enough proper housing yet." He said, after thinking about it. "Aside from that minor issue we have plenty of food and space in the baths." He added.

"Excellent! As far as shelter goes, I can put up everyone who doesn't have a place to go. The children can stay with me in my home. I owe them a pleasant bedtime story." Night Silver said, with a brilliant smile.

"Sister, I didn't realize you managed to tame these dragons." The Goddess of Water smirked.

"Huh? I just freed them from their demanding Mother's control. From there they decided to remain nearby to pay back my kindness." Night Silver blushed in reply. "Now, let's go and begin the process of integrating these new citizens." She said, flying off once again.

Moigit and the goddess of water stayed put for a moment. The two boys that the goddess of water carried with her were eyeing the dragon with an intense curiosity.

"She's acting a little different… Did something happen while she was away?" Moigit asked, his body shifting to give his full attention to the goddess of water.

"Uh, I'm sure she'll let you know what happened in time. Though I'm not sure if I should say anything more than simply confirming that something major did occur." The Water Goddess said, with a difficult tone.

"I see… She has this air of fury about her. I do hope my brother will be alright… Ahahaha! That'll be a funny sight to behold." Moigit laughed.

"Lady Water, can we ride the dragon?" The Elven boy piped up to ask.

"Huh? Hmm, I'm not sure." The Water Goddess said, then looked at Moigit. "How about it? Care to give us a ride the rest of the way home?" She said with a shift in her posture.

"Ahahaha, as long as you promise to hold onto those kids tight. I'm not as stable as my big brother is. But I think I can manage such a light load." Moigit chuckled, as he positioned himself to accept passengers. Once the water goddess was on, Moigit shivered slightly. "Huh, so that's how it feels to have someone riding me… I don't entirely dislike it." He murmured slightly louder than normal. "Alright let's go!" He said, in embarrassment before taking off with great speed.

"WEEE!!! AHAHAHA! This is fun!" The boys said, their hair in the breeze and eyes wide as they took in the sights.

Such a kind dragon… I wonder how kind everyone else is here. If they all have a common love for Sister, then I'm sure it's a beautiful place.

"Lady water, look! The buildings look so clean and sturdy. And there is that one there… It's so big!" The Dwarven boy pointed out as Moigit began his descent.

"Woah! Mother was right! So many proud women everywhere!" The Elven Boy stammered with a light blush.

"Pfft, You'll get used to it, I'm sure. Life has already been fantastic here. With Big Sister here making so many improvements. Wait till you see her home. It stuns me every time I see it." Moigit chuckled in explanation as he landed.

"Mother Goddess, you've returned!" Shouts from a crowd calling out with praise. "Welcome home Goddess!" Some others called out. "Welcome home, Mother!" Others chanted.

"Come now, I haven't been gone that long. But I'm glad to see you again as well." Night Silver smiled, trying to calm the crowd.

A winged-human boy jumped towards Night Silver, flapping his wings in an effort to fly into Night Silver's arms. "Mommy!" He cried out, with emotion. This was followed up with dozens upon dozens of other children.

"Pfft, you're always so adorable. You won't have to worry for a while now. I don't plan on taking any more trips for a while." Night Silver giggled as some of the children climbed on, searching for a spot to be close to her. "I've got to tell the new children a bedtime story tonight. I hope you join us and make friends." She added.

"Yay! Story Night!!!!!" The children laughed.

The adults seemed, specifically the women gave a knowing glance towards their men.
