That Time I Got Reincarnated By Veldanava

Chapter 23: Fuze And The Adventurers Trio Arrive.

Far west of The Great Lazek's Kingdom's capital Camelot, lies the Kingdom of Blumund. It boarders the western side of the forest and is a small nation that relies on diplomacy and intelligence gathering to survive as it's military power is near none existent.

Within it, there is the Free Guild, which the nation heavily relies on for it's adventurers prowess in wartime. Leading the guild and acting as the main communication between the Kingdom of Blumund and the guilds grandmaster Yuuki. And despite it's small size, thanks in no small part to its intelligence capabilities, Blumund is a well respected nation.

Despite that, the nation is very knowledgeable about how weak it is. And when the news spread that the Storm Dragon Veldora had declared the forest a nation and announced its human king, Blumund was shaken. As if things couldn't get worse, less than 3 months later, legendary World Language declared that his big brother, The Star King Veldanava, had returned. And because of the power Veldanava radiated upon his return, the whole world knew he too, was now in the newly formed kingdom.

After the king called an emergency meeting with all his council, it was decided as guildmaster, Fuze would take a small party to Camelot and open diplomatic relations. After looking for a suitable party, and knowing if two True Dragons were there no party would be enough, then he settled on a party led by a human named Kaval.

"We're almost there. From the information our scouts managed to retrieve the nation so far is just a city. But it's massive, apparently, it already has everything a nation needs operate and a whole lot more," Fuze said to the party.

"That's not even all of it. Rumours in Blumund's inns are that the city was built overnight. A merchant even told me he was passing and it happened in an instant. One minute there was nothing, but then a large city appeared. There's even been a large influx of monsters in the areas surrounding the city, meaning if it is true. Not only did someone manage to create a city in an instant, but they managed to safely transport all the living creatures out of the city," Kaval said deep in thought.

"Then, there was the Armed Nation Of Dwargon. Just over a week ago, they declared that they now officially recognise the forest as a nation and the domain of King Henrik. He went to Dwargon, allegedly stopped the incident at the mines and saved the whole nation. It's no wonder King Gazel made the announcement and multiple agreements with them.

On top of that, there's the Storm Dragon and Star King Dragon. Both of them are two of the only four True Dragons in existence. And the Star King, it's said he is even more ferocious than his younger siblings. Elyun, did you hear back from your family?" Gido asked the woman in the cart with them.

"Yes. My aunt sent a letter just before we left. She was around when the Star King was last alive. She told me he's kind. That Lord Veldanava cared for all things, and that he was the first being. And the one who created all things. It's said that he died 2000 years ago and hasn't reincarnated since. She also told me that he always wished to watch his creation and not be a part of it.

As far as I know, when True Dragons die, even before they come back, they're not really dead. It's just they can't physically interact with the world. So I don't understand why he would reincarnate. He got what he always wanted, to watch his creation. I don't think he willingly reincarnated, it isn't in line with what my aunt told me. I think someone forced him back. And if I'm right, we should be scared."

"Why?" Kaval asked before Fuze interjected, "Because whoever can do that, might just be stronger than Veldanava himself. And if there is someone that strong, I'd put my years salary on it being the one who tamed the Storm Dragon. The one who made Gazel Dwargon recognise his nation in a few days. King Henrik Lazek. And we should be even more scared as we're walking into his territory unannounced.

If he sees this as an attack, Blumund will be done."

"So that's why adventurers were sent," Kaval spoke up, "Because we can just change our nationality to one with the Free Guild in. Wouldn't that risk a war with whatever nation we choose against Blumund?"

"Yes. But if the stories and logic are true. A war against a nation such as Falmuth will damage us, a war against The Great Lazek Kingdom would end us."

"Then I guess it's a good thing my lord is willing to speak to you," A voice that wasn't there a minute ago spoke from a dark shadowy corner of the carriage. When the person who spoke stood up, the adventurers and guildmaster were greeted by a tall blue haired oni who wore blue robes.

The four adventurers stood up startled and Gido even grabbed his weapon and pointed it at the man. However, once the sword was raised, the blue haired man moved so fast it seemed like teleportation and appeared next to Gido with a kunai to his throat.

"Put that weapon down human. Before you start a fight you cannot hope to win. Lord Henrik has ordered me to escort you to him, but one of his main rules is that his subordinates can't be violent unless in self defence or wartime. If you don't sheathe your sword, I will kill you. And then that will make your friends get angry and attack me and I'll have to kill them.

So how about we avoid all the needless violence and enjoy a nice carriage ride to Camelot. I urge to chose that option."

"Who are you?" Fuze asked as he prepared to possibly fight for his life.

"My lord named me Souei, I'm his chief intelligence officer. Crap, I should not have told you that. Oh well, the point is I've been ordered to escort you to the city. As your friend mentioned before, the monster activity around here has been increased since my master made the capitol.

I can protect you, so I will. Provided this one here doesn't try to attack me," Souei said looking at Gido when he mentioned doing something stupid.

"Ok. Gido, stand down," Fuze ordered.

Gido, not sure he can trust Souei wanted to keep his weapon drawn, but he knew from Souei's speed that he stood no chance. On top of that, he was just ordered by a guildmaster, so he decided he'd best stay alive.

"Fine." Gido said as he sheathed his sword.

Back in Henrik's castle, the children had just finished a meal with Henrik and Shizu and were now going for a lesson with her, leaving Henrik alone. Well, almost alone.

"See big brother, Julius is awesome. He held back and still toyed around. Of course, if I came across him, I'd win. HAHAHAHAHA."

"Yes, Veldora you would. But a wizard with time magic is hardly a match for a True Dragon. Personally, I like Asta more. He works hard to get what he has. And is greatly rewarded for it. I think it's a great lesson for people. Working hard and not giving handouts. Right Henrik?"

Veldanava was referring to the fact Henrik used [Darwin, Lord of Evolution] to upgrade all his subordinates. Now they were all up to where they were by volume 21 of the novel.

"Hold up, it was you who told me it wouldn't lead to the end of the world. Fearing my subordinates being too powerful too soon could upset the balance, that's literally what stopped me from doing it in the first place."

When he first brought Veldanava back, Henrik refused to even look him in the eyes as after seeing him in the past, Henrik didn't think anyone was worthy of seeing such a divine being. But after a few days of finding it annoying, Veldanava ranted to Henrik about him not being The Will of God anymore.

After a stern talking too, Henrik agreed to speak to him as he would anyone, and not think so highly of him so openly. "A king shouldn't bow to anyone," Is what Veldanava told him.

"I meant that it wouldn't destroy they wouldn't destroy the world because they're loyal to you. Who knows what others will do to earn your favour and get a free evolution. And they might just destroy the world."

"Veldanava, first off, you know that can't happen as [Perversion] will tell me if anyone is lying to use my power. Also, it's not like I'm gonna give everyone evolutions, I'm just gonna give them to those I know for certain I can trust. Also, and this is my last point.

If, not that it can happen, but if someone manages to do that. They'll have to get through me, you, Veldora, Guy, Ramiris, my whole nation, the Eastern Empire. Honestly, if someone is strong or smart enough to do all that, they deserve the win."

"I get that but it's still reckless. Just, don't make me regret giving you that Wish of Veldanava. I could've given it to Milim, but I trusted you'd use it right."

"And I will. Have I ever let you down? Come on, we've known each other since before creation was a thing technically, you can trust me not to end the world. And hey, if I do. You can always make another one," Henrik says laughing.

"Very funny. Fine Henrik. I'll trust you. This once."

"Are you boys done looking at those drawings?" A pink haired woman came in with some hobogoblinas carrying food.

"IT'S MANGA NOT DRAWINGS." Both True Dragons shouted.

"Wow Lucia, Veldora must like you. If most people insulted his manga like that, he might destroy a country," Henrik said as the woman put the food on the table and sat down.

"Yes well most people misunderstand him. It's not his fault he's so destructive. I've told Veldanava for years that when Veldora was born he should've taught him properly. And definitely not let Velzard kill him."

"Hey, I didn't let Velzard kill him. I always saved him from her," Veldanava said trying to defend himself.

"When he barely managed to get to you to ask for help. Henrik told us what happened when he sensed Ranga dying, that's how defensive you should be over your little brother."

"So you want me to protect my little brother by killing my little sister?"

"Of course not, my love. But they're True Dragons. Your siblings. With the way you made the world, True Dragons don't have parents to teach them right from wrong. They only had you. Your sisters constantly fight over men. Think about that, grown women constantly fighting with family because two men want to treat the world, you made, like a game of chess.

Then there's Veldora. The baby of the family. Velgrynd is the only one who treats him remotely right. Sure she has to beat him up sometimes but never too much that he'd actually suffer from it. Velzard would kill him because he annoyed her with his destructive nature. And maybe, just maybe, if he ran to you in time, he'd be allowed to live.

I love you Veldanava, and you're an amazing husband and father. But you've been a terrible big brother."

Veldanava, after getting scolded by his wife, could do nothing but look down in shame.

"I know. I thought, that one day they'd grow up on their own. I was stupid. It only truly hit me how important family was when I met you. And by then, it was too late."

Lucia reached over the table and grabbed Veldanava's hand.

"It's never too late. You're all immortal. And look at Veldora now, rather than raging and wiping out nations for a bit of fun, he's sitting with us, having a meal and reading his manga or whatever it's called.

And with time, when Milim is ready to come to us, she'll be here as well. And maybe even Velgrynd and Rudra. And Velzard," Lucia said before stopping after remembering what Henrik told her Velzard did to his subordinates. She looked at Henrik as hope started to fade that she'd have her family together one day.

"It's fine," Henrik said which made all three of them look at him. "I'll never forgive Velzard for what she did. Truth be told, if it wasn't for my respect for Veldanava, when I felt Ranga dying, she'd probably be dead. But, since then, I've acquired this power. Whenever I want, I could bring them all back," Henrik as he looked at the hobogoblinas to make sure they'd left after putting the food down.

"But I chose not too. They'll live forever in my nations memory. But I chose not to bring them back, after that, I can't see why I should continue to hate her. She may have killed them, but I'm the one who is making them stay dead. So, I decided to let go of my anger.

Lucia, I made a promise to Shizu, to make a better world. I made a promise to Veldanava that I'd take care of Veldora and Milim. But I think both of those promises need a third to make it a trio. Lucia Nasca, on my honour as a king and your friend, I swear that you'll one day live in peace with your whole family. Forever."

Both the True Dragon brothers and Lucia look at Henrik in complete disbelief. Not once, in all of their years, did they think the possibility of a happy family would be a thing. But every one of them knew the power Henrik possessed. Veldora felt it when he was inside of [Stomach] and Veldanava and Lucia felt it when they travelled through time from [Time Doctor, Lord of Salvation]. Despite their deep reservations given their families complexity, every single one of them knew Henrik would make it a reality.

"Thank you Henrik. And we'll all help you make the world you promise a reality," Veldanava swears and both Lucia and Veldora both agree.

"By the way Lucia. I'm the powerful Storm Dragon Veldora. I never need anyone, let alone my big bro. But I accept he needs me and because I'm such a kind little brother and brother-in-law, I'll permit him to be in my life."

"Yes, you do. Because sometimes Veldora, I think we both know you need someone to stop you," Lucia said with a kind tone that showed she meant it out of love and not an insult.

"No one can stop the mighty Storm Dragon Veldora. HAHAHAHAHAHA."

In an instant, Henrik and Veldanava appeared on both sides of Veldora and had massive grins on their face.

"Oh really. Hey Veldanava, how about we put that to the test? Whoever wins get his manga for a week."

"I like the idea of that Henrik. But how about we make it a month?"

By now, the idea of having no manga made Veldora sweat in fear before the two started laughing and Lucia joined them.

"You two are so mean," Veldora pouted as they took their seats.

"We know," Henrik said still laughing at the top of his lungs. After a moment he turned to Lucia, "Oh by the way Lucia. I never thanked you. I like the effort that the hobogoblinas put into the food, but it is usually bland and dull. Just roast some dead boar and done. Since you've come here, the food has really improved and their cooking skills are improving too. Thanks to you, my nations culinary expertise is improving everyday."

"Thank you but I'm afraid I don't know too much. I used to be a princess and believe it or not put princesses don't usually learn how to cook. But I did like it and learnt as much as I could. Rudra always used to cover for me while our head chef would teach me some basics. To me it's only been three weeks since I last saw him. But for him, it's really been 2000 years. And Milim, she lost us so young, a young girl needs her mother. And Milim was all alone."

Both Lucia and Veldanava looked incredibly guilty at the thought of them failing Milim.

"I know. But it's not your fault. If Veldanava wasn't weakened, he'd have annihilated the terrorists. But Milim wouldn't exist. You did your job as parents and kept Milim safe, the rest is irrelevant. Besides, from what Veldora has told me, Rudra was king, knew the risk of a terrorist attack and left without even asking Velgrynd to stay behind.

I've got a few words for that brother of yours when I see him."

Both Henrik and Veldanava knew about Rudra and the whole Michael situation, but they'd decided not to tell Lucia as she already felt bad enough about Milim and didn't want to make her feel worse.

"Besides, the whole world knows Veldanava has come back, Milim included. Knowing the Demon Lords, they've already called for a Walpurgis. Milim isolated herself for a very long time, you just need to give her time. She'll come when she's ready. She may still be a baby in your mind but remember, here, she's a 2000 year old demon lord."

"I know. Doesn't make it easier though," Lucia said barely holding back tears.

Suddenly, there was a knock at the door.

"Your majesty," Souei shouted, "They're here."

"Well, it's about time. Veldora, Veldanava, Lucia. You're all more than welcome to stay. Besides, having two True Dragons and a High Human might give me some perks in the talks," Henrik said to the three before shouting to the door, "BRING THEM IN SOUEI."

As the door opens, Fuze and the three adventurers enter the dining hall accompanied by Souei who's keeping a close eye on Gido for some reason.

"Greetings envoys from Blumund. I'm King Henrik Lazek. These are my friends. Lucia Nasca. Storm Dragon Veldora. And the Star King Dragon, Veldanava. Please, join us for a meal while we discuss the future of our nations. And the penalty for trying to come here uninvited and attack my subordinate."

When Elyun saw him, she immediately spoke up.

"It's you. That guy whose body we found months ago."
