Chapter 79: Throw Her Over
It was night.
Ye Tian carried a blonde-haired girl back to the villa.
The door was opened by Butler Fu.
When he saw the girl's chest covered in blood, Butler Fu was a bit shocked and asked, "Young Master, what happened?"
Ye Tian remained calm, showing no signs of pity or panic.
Casually, he said, "Got into a fight, broke some bones. Go get some surgical tools. I'll set her bones."
"Understood."
Butler Fu nodded and left unhurriedly.
As an excellent butler, he could tell that this girl meant nothing to the Young Master. Ye Tian had saved her purely out of humanitarianism, without any emotional involvement.
Ye Tian carried Qian Renxue, who lay unconscious, into the villa and tossed her onto the sofa.
Although her injuries were severe, he had stopped the bleeding before anesthetizing her, so she wasn't in immediate danger.
At this moment, Qian Renxue's mask had been removed, revealing her true appearance. Perhaps due to wearing the mask for so long, her face was extremely pale, her skin smooth and delicate. Despite the bloodstains, her stunning beauty was still unmistakable. It was clear she was a beautiful girl.
However, although Ye Tian felt a slight stir in his heart, he had no further desires.
After all, Qian Renxue's identity was incredibly complicated. Keeping her around was a huge hassle.
Ye Tian wiped the sweat from his forehead and waved over a young maid.
"Go to the kitchen and make me something to eat. It's late, and I haven't eaten dinner yet."
"As you wish." The maid glanced at Ye Tian, nodded slightly, and left.
After instructing the maid, Ye Tian walked into the bathroom next to his bedroom. After a busy day and half the night, he needed a hot shower.
The sound of running water washed away Ye Tian's fatigue, gradually relaxing his nerves.
Today had been too intense.
He had expected Qian Gu Shizhen to play some tricks but didn't imagine it would be on such a large scale—trying to incite war across the continent.
If he hadn't intervened at the crucial moment, the war on the Douluo Continent might have broken out earlier than expected.
After killing Qian Gu Shizhen, the Polaris Squad searched his storage belt and found many letters. These letters were routine correspondence between Qian Gu Shizhen and his subordinates. By investigating their contents, Ye Tian could uproot the entire network of evil soul masters in the Sylves Province.
What surprised Ye Tian was that one of the letters came from the City of Slaughter.
It's well known that the soul masters residing in the City of Slaughter, if not outright evil, certainly deserve their fate.
"If my guess is correct, the headquarters of the evil soul masters is likely hidden in the City of Slaughter," Ye Tian thought.
And they must have a close relationship with the King of Slaughter. Otherwise, letters would never freely come and go from the City of Slaughter.
Ye Tian found this somewhat amusing.
If he remembered correctly, the ruler of the City of Slaughter was named Tang Chen—Tang Hao's grandfather, and Tang San's great-grandfather. The Tang family sure had its hand in both the light and dark sides.
Tang San was truly the king of the continent, not only a powerful figure himself but also with an impressive background.
After a while, Ye Tian finished his shower, feeling refreshed. He changed into clean clothes.
When he came to the living room, the maid was already waiting with a tray of food.
Since it was late at night, the cook had gone home. Only the maid was on night duty, so the meal was simple—two fried eggs, a piece of bread, and a few slices of dried soul beast meat.
"The cook made some porridge last night, preparing it for tomorrow's breakfast. I tasted it—it seems ready now. Would you like some, Young Master?"
"Serve some."
Starving, Ye Tian didn't bother with chopsticks. He picked up the dried meat and fried eggs, stuffed them into the bread, and ate heartily.
The maid nodded and stepped away quietly.
By this time, Butler Fu, now dressed in a white coat and carrying a roll of bandages, approached.
Three years ago, when Ye Tian hadn't yet established his reputation, he had few people by his side. Back then, Butler Fu had even served as his surgical assistant for a while. Now, returning to the role, he found it quite manageable.
Seeing Ye Tian eating, Butler Fu looked confused and asked with concern, "Shouldn't we operate on the girl soon?"
"She's a sixty-something-level Soul Emperor. She's fine. She won't die anytime soon," Ye Tian replied casually.
With no immediate danger to her life, surgery could wait—eating was more important.
You needed strength to perform surgery, after all.
"What's that smell? Who's cooking in the middle of the night?"
Hearing the aroma, Hu Liena, half-asleep, appeared on the second floor, rubbing her sleepy eyes as she looked downstairs.
Seeing a familiar figure in the dim light, Hu Liena's eyes suddenly brightened. "Ye Tian?"
She happily came down the stairs and ran straight into Ye Tian's arms.
"It's been so long! I missed you!"
Feeling the soft pressure against him, Ye Tian couldn't help but smile helplessly, "It's only been four days."
"Four days is long enough," Hu Liena argued.
Suddenly, as she looked into Ye Tian's eyes, she noticed the figure on the sofa.
That figure looked strangely familiar…
Hu Liena instinctively looked closer at Qian Renxue's face.
And then she was shocked.
Isn't this Qian Renxue?
Qian Renxue was injured, and she looked badly hurt…
Suppressing her shock and concern, Hu Liena pulled away from Ye Tian and asked, "Who is that on the sofa? How did she get so badly injured?"
Ye Tian glanced at Qian Renxue and chuckled lightly, "Her? She's someone important."
"The Crown Princess of the Heaven Dou Empire."
"She was ambushed by Qian Gu Shizhen. That's how she got hurt."
He explained the situation briefly.
Holding back her concern, Hu Liena pretended to be surprised, "The Crown Princess? Isn't the Crown Prince supposed to be a man?"
Ye Tian leaned close to her ear and whispered, "The real Xue Qinghe has long been dead. This one is Qian Renxue."
"What?!"
Hu Liena's pupils contracted, and she couldn't hide her shock.
How does Ye Tian know everything?
Seeing Hu Liena's astonished expression, Ye Tian assumed she was shocked by Qian Renxue's identity.
He smiled, "Don't worry, with me here, no matter how strong Qian Renxue is, she won't be able to hurt you."
Hu Liena hesitated, "That makes sense, but… how badly is she hurt?"
This was her biggest worry. After all, Qian Renxue was practically her sister. Now that she was gravely injured, Hu Liena had to show concern.
"She's fine," Ye Tian said calmly. "Qian Renxue has a deep cultivation and strong physique. It's just some high-impact fractures. Nothing serious."
In reality, Qian Renxue was still unconscious, mostly due to the anesthetics.
"Fractures?" Hu Liena's heart tightened. "Can she be healed?"
"No problem at all."
Fractures were a common injury to Ye Tian; he was quite experienced.
"It's late. You should go rest," he waved her off.
"What about Qian Renxue?" Hu Liena asked instinctively, regretting it immediately. Was she showing too much concern?
But Ye Tian didn't notice anything strange. He just smiled and said, "What else? I'll fix her arm and send her off to the Spirit Hall in East Sea City."
