Testament of Taimanin

Sorry, I posted the wrong chapter.

Okay, the reason I stopped posting is that I was afraid of adding to many characters and forget character development then I realize….it's a fucking hentai world. The logic isn't the same as normal series.

Anyway, feel free to suggest anything and I'll try to post as frequently as I can but no promises.

Japan, train station, nearby Gosha Village

Day 2.

5:50 pm, August 12, 2078, Friday.

Testament carefully observed the person who arrived at the scene. Among the wandering souls that he had encountered until now was mindless and had lost their sanity but the person was still able to hold on a sense of self but barely. His soul clinging to a strand that hangs loosely where whatever this is attached to be broken then he would become an empty husk of madness.



"I do hope I did not let you wait for very long, Mistress shiranui?" He spoke in a polite manner walking over to them, giving a lot now glancing over to Testament who met his gaze.

"Ah, is this the guest you spoke of? It is a pleasure to make your acquaintance, I am Zenki Tokirai." Testament tip his hat before responding.

"Likewise. Forgive me but you seem badly broken, here let me fix that." Shiranui watched in awe witnessing dark miasmic mist enveloping Zenki until it gradually dissipated. Testament had an A rank on his Death force Manipulation that was leagues above anyone in this world capable of harnessing.

Instead of relying on energy, it relies on the understanding and manipulation of the concept of death. It's basically rewriting and recording scripts In a program that he only needs to know the algorithm to fully control it.

Though, Distance, mass, precision, etc. depend upon the knowledge, skill, and strength of the user, and their power's natural limits. Fortunately, Testament has A Rank meaning he doesn't face that much of a problem.

Unfortunately, he can't exactly control powerful undead or those who are resistances. Testament has clear limits with the skills that he has and is considered as Strong but not god-like. He is far from being omnipotent.

On the other hand, Shiranui pondered the scope of his abilities having informed a small part of it and how her king is capable of manipulating Death itself.

"Testament-san, what did you just do?" She asked worriedly and Zenki was the one who spoke. It wasn't because Testament may have hurt Zenki, rather she was scared that something might have gone wrong.

"He seems to have healed parts of my mind. Being a ghost made it hard for me to grasp reality but now everything became a lot clearer."

Zenki felt more alive than before and his sense of self was a lot stronger than before. He was able to finally develop new memories and not be attached to the past since he is hardly able to grasp recent events.

"What do you mean?" Shiranui was still a bit confused at what's going on and Testament stepped in to explain.

"Any spirit that remains in the living is often shackled by the regrets and grief they had during the living therefore he is unable to fully be aware of things happening but now I've set things right and filled the gap that needed to be filled." Testament finished and Shirnaui still a bit confused by his explanation with Zenki stepping in to help.

"To put it plainly, I'm finally like my day when I was alive. All thanks to this Lad—" Before he could finish was quickly interrupted by Testament.

"I'm actually a man. There's a specific reason why I'm dressed like this." Testament said while Zenki nodded.

"I see, my apologies, I didn't intend to be rude." Zenki quickly apologized and Testament shook his head in response.

"It is fine, no harm done. Thought hope you don't feel revolt in my appearance " He politely said.

"Not at all,  it is certainly not the first time I've seen someone like you. And I should be the one saying that." Zenki been alive for a long time therefore has seen Taimanin dress like a woman.

"My ability relates to death therefore it is natural I have experience with ghosts. Ah, where is my manners, I am Testament, a lost traveler of sorts and currently going to be under care." Testament introduced himself and Zenki wasn't surprised since after getting healed by him was able to recall the past events until the present.

"Well then, why don't we get going and talk inside the car?"

Zenki said as the trio entered the car while Testament and Shiranui went into the backseat. They drove for a few minutes until Testament was able to see rural homes. The Gosha Villages were around the Kanto Region of Japan.

"So this is your hometown, Shiranui-san?" Testament said glancing in the window seeing the homes and curious gaze of the people. He noticed how it seemed like a ghost town with how few people were walking by.

"Yes, but my residence is a bit far from here." Shiranui said looking at him with great intent but tried to hold back.

"How many people lived here?" Testament turns and faces Shiranui who quickly calms herself.

"There are exactly 10,000 living here but most of them are not here and currently on mission."

Shiranui explained while the death force user frowned thinking how these people are likely toyed and used for sexual deprivation. Testament dislikes the taste of it and memories of the past games scene haunts him.

"I see, can you tell me who is in charge or has a great influence in this place?" Testament somewhat knew who it was but decided to confirm since he can never be sure.

"Well, Gosha Village is ruled by clans, the current active is my clan, the Mizuku followed by the Igawa clan, Fuuma clan, and many more." Shiranui continued to explain the structure of their village.

Though all Taimanin clans agreed to fight demons, since their name, between the clans different ideologies resulted in constant bloody fighting, until the unification under Gosha Village.

Clans tend to have a clan head (matriarch or patriarch) or sometimes a small council leading them. In the case of larger clans, which contain big subfamilies, they might also contain sub-clan heads.

A clan steward, which acts as a second in command, is often a feature of large families and elders within the clans can also have a large amount of power even over the clan head.

The degree of these power dynamics varies and can also shift over time. Certain families are also split into main families and branches, with the branches producing the "steward" and the main part producing the "Patriarch/Matriarch".

Some clans remain mostly isolated, while others cooperate as subservient or equal parts of a larger whole.

In the past of every clan lies the mixing of demon and human blood. This mixing enables Taimanin to manipulate "Taima particles" to use supernatural skills and increase their base abilities.

The bloodlines of every clan carry certain clan ability, that could emerge in a single member. However, the process is not well understood and not everybody awakens to one.

Should the bloodlines be mixed, it will increase the possible "ability pool" but again only a single ability can be awoken by a single Taimanin.

It could be assumed that because of that, in the past, mixing of bloodlines was looked down upon as it weakens the bloodlines of an individual clan and a stronger ability could be lost in a too large "pool of abilities".

Examples of abilities would be the many versions of the "Evil Eye", the Fuuma clan can produce, or the famous lighting arts of the Mizuki clan.

'I guess most of those things I've seen were what if and bad endings.'

Testament noticed how Taimanin seemed to be stronger than he anticipated and how the structure of their world was overshadowed by the degeneracy that was often displayed. He made it his goal to help and provide assistance to everyone he can.

After some time, they drove down the road until they left the rural areas and eventually found themselves in a road that leads to a castle.

"This is your residence?" Testament as they got out of the car and were in front of the entrance. Her home appeared to be a castle built from a long time ago yet the walls were well kept lacking any moss.

"Yes, it is actually from my late husband. He was from the main branch of Mizuku while I was in the side branch." Shiranui said and Testament spread his senses, finding only a single person inside despite how massive the place was.

"Are the three of you the only residents here? I've spread my senses and I only found one person with the same life signature as you, which I assume is your daughter?" Testament asked, glancing over to Shiranui who nodded.

"That's right but thank you Zeniki-san's ability, we don't need that much staff." Shiranui said since Zenki ability is basically summoning spirits like Testament but weaker.

"Why don't we head inside?" She said with a bright smile excited to introduce him to her daughter. Shiranui aims to convince her daughter to join.
