NOVEL NEXT Chapter 15: They Messed up by Leaving me Unsupervised.
(Tesslia’s POV)
Seehia went to inform Mistress about my impending doom hours ago… Eh, the orders were for her and the maids to keep me in bed. She didn’t actually tell me to stay.
As such, and due to how I was a bored and cheeky little shit when not being watched, I left my room. Even since “escaping” with Seehia, I have wanted to explore this estate.
Though I didn’t have much time for myself in my past life, I did purchase a needlessly large estate, one that was similar to Karlena’s. This estate was far bigger, I am sure.
Slightly opening up my door a bit, I was very happy to see that no one was watching me at all. Considering the whole sci-fi world thing, there is a pretty decent chance that I am being watched via camera or some other sci-fi bullshit.
Tesslia: “If I am being watched… Do know that I have no intentions of running away. I got bored, so I wanted to explore this estate.” I state before going on my way.
You see, prior to meeting Karlena, my truths were kept to me. But even since I did meet her… I had lost my ability to lie. Everything that comes out of my mouth is the truth.
Due to me being forced to speak the truth, Karlena and the maids always believe my words fully. Apparently, this was an ability that Mistress had at her disposal. I do wonder how it works…
Whatever. These vampires, despite me being unique, still seem fully intent on keeping me out of the loop. As such, I shouldn’t dwell on things like this for too long. I have an estate to explore, after all!

Tesslia: “…”
This estate was beyond huge… The seemingly endless dungeon should have told me as such. Honestly, it would take me days to explore this place fully.
Mistress wasn’t lying… only the richest damn person would live in such an overly large estate like this. Right now, I was exploring around the garden. Various maids had spotted me on this little excursion, but none stopped me in my tracks for more than a few seconds.
They just asked what I was doing, and they would just let me go on my way once I answered their questions.
The garden was regal and as expensive looking as can be. There were a few other areas that I wanted to visit, but said areas were limited to Karlena’s access only.
Basically, I would have to get her permission to explore them. Since I was sickly, I did walk around very slowly. Fast enough to where my excitement didn’t die, but slow enough to where I didn’t die, haha.
Anyway, the garden was an amazingly peaceful place. Mistress clearly used it to relax, and I did the same. Looking around at all the flowers… was very nice. Also, there wasn’t an insect in sight. God, I love the future!
Maid: “A pet? What is a pet doing wandering around…” She said with a confused tone.
Tesslia: “…”
Maid: “Karlena isn’t careless enough to let one of her pets run around like this…” She said with a thinking pose.
This woman… I felt that she was off. She didn’t act like the rest of the maids, and didn’t seem to be informed about me. As such, I didn’t speak a word, and I pretended to be like those stupid pet humans. I wonder who she is?…
