Tempest Brothers: Chapter 13 – The Majin's Arrival

The Tempest Village had begun to thrive. Under Rimuru and Joshua's leadership, the goblins and Tempest Wolves worked together, building wooden houses and fortifying the perimeter. The bonds between the brothers and their new companions grew stronger with each passing day.

Joshua stood atop a hill, his galaxy-red eyes scanning the horizon. His white hair caught the sunlight, giving him an ethereal appearance. Beside him, Arven, one of his angelic Tempest Wolves, stood silently, ever-vigilant.

"You always were the brooding type."

Joshua didn't turn. He recognized Rimuru's teasing tone instantly. "Observation is necessary."

Rimuru chuckled, his golden eyes flicking over the village below. "You're overthinking again."

Before Joshua could respond, a ripple of unease spread through the village. The Tempest Wolves growled low, and the goblins stopped working, their ears twitching.

Joshua's system flared.

[Threat Detected: Majin. Rank: B+. Caution Advised.]

Joshua's gaze snapped to the treeline. Figures emerged from the shadows — three cloaked beings, their auras pulsing with malevolence. The leader stepped forward, revealing a pale face, violet hair, and crimson eyes that glinted with intelligence.

"I am Kurobe, servant of the Great Majin Gelmud," the figure announced, his voice smooth yet arrogant.

Rimuru stepped forward, his friendly smile in place. "I'm Rimuru Tempest, and this is my brother Joshua. Welcome to our village."

Joshua's eyes never left Kurobe.

[Hostile Intent: 31%. Probability of Attack: Low.]

"A pair of named slimes... how curious." Kurobe's smile widened. "You've built quite the little kingdom here."

"We're building a home," Rimuru said, his voice light but steady.

Joshua's fingers twitched, his demonic instincts urging him to act. But his angelic side held him back.

[Restraint Activated.]

Kurobe's gaze lingered on the goblins and Tempest Wolves. "Homes can be so... fragile."

A flicker of crimson light danced in Joshua's eyes, but he remained silent.

Kurobe chuckled, sensing the tension. "Consider this a friendly visit."

Without another word, the Majin and his entourage turned and disappeared into the forest.

Only when they were gone did Joshua release a slow breath.

"They'll return," he muttered.

"I know." Rimuru's voice was calm, but his golden eyes hardened.

Joshua's system whispered in his mind.

[New Quest Generated: Defend Tempest Village. Prepare for Majin Interference.]

The first enemy of the Tempest Brothers had made their presence known — and the storm was only beginning.
