Chapter 5: Chapter 5
This chapter was mostly to explain things a little more as well as see Stiles' POV with the first pages of the bestiary.

"Alright, guys, save the rest of your questions for later. Now, we're heading back to the vet clinic for the cars," I said, putting on my jacket and extending my hands for them to take.
"I still have a lot of questions, like whether the first sorcerer had those side effects or what potions and poisons have to do with developing magic," Stiles said, waving his hands nonstop.
"Yeah, I have a lot of questions too, but the main one is: how do I control myself during the full moon?" Scott asked.
"It's simple, kid. You're seeing your powers as a curse, but you need to understand that your powers are a part of you. They don't control you," I said, pointing at him. "You control them. You're not a beast, Scott. You need to understand that. Your powers are what you choose to do with them. If you use them to protect, you're a hero. If you use them to kill, you're a beast."
After that little speech, Scott's eyes glowed, and he began to change, but this time he seemed more in control. Of course, it wasn't perfect, but it was progress.
"By the way, finding an anchor helps, especially with sex," I said with a mischievous grin. "Or something like that… I read it somewhere. I kill supernatural things; I don't take care of them."
"Alright, we get it," Stiles said.
"Good. Hold on tight, guys. Time to go." They both took my hands, and using the teleportation spell, we returned to the vet clinic for the cars.
"Stiles, by tomorrow, memorize all the creatures from chapters 1 to 5. We'll meet here at 5 AM."
After that, I got into the car with Scott, and we headed home.
[POV SWITCH TO: STILES]
Okay, this day couldn't get any better. Not only did I meet my best friend's new stepdad, but he's also going to train me. But as always, the good stuff comes with something bad—like studying. Though, honestly, it wasn't too bad. The bestiary was pretty thick and full of useful information.
I started reading Chapter 1, and the first supernatural beings were:
[NAME]
Goblins.
[MYTHOLOGY]
Celtic and Norse. Currently part of global folklore.
[HABITAT]
Human homes and natural spaces.
[NOTABLE CHARACTERISTICS]
Short stature (much smaller than humans), large noses, and long beards.
[SIMILAR CREATURES]
Elves, Fairies, Gnomes.
Legends say we are never truly alone in our homes—that we live alongside House Goblins (Homo Dryadalis).
These goblins hide in walls or places where they can't be seen, constantly feeding on small portions of legumes (so small you wouldn't even notice). They are known to fall in love easily. Many stories from farmers tell of goblins becoming obsessed with young girls, harassing them and attacking anyone who gets too close. They are also known to be fetishists, often stealing their "beloved's" underwear and socks.
"Okay, so I guess the first creatures are the 'normal' ones—the least violent… or so I think," I muttered to myself.
Next were pixies, small fairy-like beings that enjoy causing mischief.
Then came unicorns. Only virgin girls can ride them, and their blood has healing properties—but anyone who drinks it becomes an enemy of all supernatural beings.
"Just like in Harry Potter," I whispered.
The fourth creatures were ghosts. Unlike what one might think, they're generally good and often assist sorcerers or banshees by giving them useful clues.
By the fifth chapter, we were getting into the more dangerous creatures, starting with harpies (which can be elves that drank unicorn blood and now eat humans). They prefer to eat children, have a humanoid appearance but are incredibly ugly, and smell like rotten fish and tar.
"Alright, that's enough for today. Tomorrow is going to be a long day," I said before taking a shower and going to bed.
Author's Note:
Thanks for reading! Even though I didn't mention it, I'll be using mythical creatures from various books and other works.
Timeline: Right now, we're in Teen Wolf Season 1, before Kate shoots Derek with the wolfsbane bullet.
