Chapter 5: Truth and the Battle with Fangire
The Next Day at the Cafeteria
The cafeteria buzzes with chatter and the clatter of trays. Groups of students fill the tables, claiming their spots. Scott and Stiles sit down at a table with trays in hand.
Stiles: "We need to talk... I think that bite did something to you, Scott."
Scott: (laughs) "What are you talking about, Stiles? Nothing's changed about me. Don't mess with me."
Stiles: "Why do you think I'm joking? Did you see what you did yesterday? You've never been able to do that before. And haven't you noticed Alex? The night we saw him wearing that weird armor, his bats, and that giant werewolf? Don't you think that's a little strange? Think, Scott. Look at yourself—your senses are sharper, you hear better, you're faster. I think we need to talk to Alex. So let's go ask him!"
Scott falls silent, deep in thought.
Stiles: "Listen, Scott, I'm pretty sure Alex knows something. And we need to know too. If you don't believe what's happening to you, we'll ask him together!"
Scott hesitates for a moment before nodding.
In the School Hallway
The hallway is packed with students walking to and from classes. The hum of conversations and the clang of lockers being opened and closed fills the air. Scott and Stiles weave their way through the crowd until they spot Alex standing alone in a corner, engrossed in a thick book.
Stiles: (whispers to Scott) "There he is! Go talk to him."
Scott: (hesitates) "Really? I don't even know where to start..."
Stiles: "Just ask him outright. You have the right to know!"
Scott takes a deep breath before walking up to Alex, with Stiles trailing behind, looking curious.
Scott: "Alex! Do you have a minute? We need to talk."
Alex: (looks up from his book, eyeing them with suspicion) "What's up, Scott? You sound serious."
Scott: (pauses, hesitates) "Uh... I wanted to ask about... the first night we went to the woods. You wore that armor, and... your bats—"
Stiles: (interrupts) "And the giant werewolf too! You know something about this, right? Don't lie to us!"
Alex narrows his eyes, as if trying to assess the situation.
Alex: (sighs) "Looks like you two are ready for the truth. I was wondering why you didn't ask about it yesterday."
Scott: (shocked) "So you do know something? For real?"
Alex: (nods) "Yeah, but if you really want to know, we need to go somewhere more private. This school isn't the place for something like this."
Stiles: "How about the old clubroom behind the gym? It's quiet, and no one will bother us there."
Alex nods, and the three of them head toward the old clubroom, the tension mounting as they prepare to uncover the truth.
Cut to a new scene: Alex arrives at the burning Hale house in the middle of the forest.
Alex: (shouting into the smoke) "Hey, Derek Hale! Are you there? I know who killed your sister. Come out and meet me!"
Derek: (emerging from the burning house) "Who are you?"
Alex: "Hello, I'm Alex Williams."
Derek: (eyes narrowing, staring intensely) "You know who killed my sister, but who are you, and how do you know?" (His blue wolf-like eyes bore into Alex.)
Alex: "Of course I know. But who I am? You'll find out soon enough." (Alex meets Derek's gaze with his own glowing red eyes, causing Derek to freeze, visibly shocked and afraid.)
Derek: (whispers) "Alpha... No, it can't be. What are you?"
[The air becomes thick with tension as they stare at each other in heavy silence.]
Alex: "Yes, I am an Alpha... but not the kind you think, Derek Hale. I'm not your enemy, and most importantly, I didn't kill your sister. But I know who did. I'm here to help you."
Derek: "Help me? Why should I trust you? Alphas don't help anyone but themselves, trying to build their own packs."
Alex: "I don't want a pack. You have to trust me. I'm here because we share a common enemy. The real enemy is the Alpha who killed your sister, and now he's after a kid named Scott."
Derek: (his eyes return to normal, but his suspicion remains) "Who's this kid, and why do you care about him?"
Alex: "He's my friend, but he got bitten by an Alpha. That Alpha is trying to build a new pack, and Scott's his first target. I can't let that Alpha succeed, but I can't do it alone. We need to work together."
Derek: "And how do you want me to help? I'm not someone you should be trusting, and I'm no teacher."
Alex: "I don't need you to be a teacher. I need you to help train Scott to control his powers. And if you want to know who killed your sister, I'll share what I know. But first... you have to work with me."
[Derek falls silent for a moment before letting out a long sigh.]
Derek: "If you're telling the truth, I'll help. But if I find out you're lying... you won't like what happens to you."
Alex: "I understand. I hope we can work well together, Derek Hale."
[They shake hands, a fragile alliance forming in the dim light of the burning Hale house, as if forged in a world full of danger.]
Alex: "We've got work to do tonight. But first, we need to meet Scott. I want you to get to know him and start training him as soon as possible."
Derek: (nods slightly) "I'll go. But if I see no hope in that kid... I won't waste my time."
Alex: (smiles slightly) "He'll make it, trust me. Scott's got more potential than you think. But right now, we should get out of here before anyone shows up. This place always draws attention."
[The two head away from the Hale house, their shadows disappearing into the woods as the howl of a wolf echoes in the distance.]
Cut to Scott's house:
[Scott stands in front of the mirror in his bedroom, staring at himself. His eyes glow yellow as his emotions surge. He tries to control himself by taking deep breaths.]
Scott: (muttering) "I don't want to be like this... I don't want to be a monster."
[There's a knock on the door, and Scott jumps slightly before quickly changing his eye color back to normal.]
Stiles: "I think they're here..."
Cut to the front of Scott's house:
[Derek gets out of the car, looking around cautiously, followed by Alex stepping from the shadows.]
Alex: "Scott's place is here. Let's go."
[They walk to the front door, which opens as Scott nervously looks at them.]
Scott: "You're... Derek Hale?"
Derek: (giving Scott a steady, unreadable look) "Yes, and you're the kid who was bitten."
Scott: (nodding) "Yeah... and I don't know how to control it."
Derek: (sighs) "Well, it's time you learned."
Alex: "I'll leave you two to get acquainted. I've got business to handle. Derek, he's your responsibility now."
Derek: "Understood."
[Alex walks off, leaving Scott and Derek in a tense atmosphere.]
Scene shifts to the dark forest, bathed in the pale light of the moon. Silence envelops the area, as if everything is watching something about to happen.
Alex: (standing in the middle of the forest, scanning the surroundings) "I know you're here, Fangire. Come out!"
[A sharp, mocking laugh echoes from the darkness as the figure of a Rat Fangire begins to emerge from the shadows, its body a mix of rat and armored glass reflecting the moonlight.]
Rat Fangire: (in a taunting voice) "Because the new King has no right to command us! We don't need you to lead, and I'll start the revolution by eliminating you. If I kill you, I'll become King!"
Alex: (smiling faintly, standing tall) "If you think you can, go ahead and try. But you're just trash among the Fangire!"
[The Rat Fangire roars furiously before raising a gun that looks like a mix of glass and metal. A glowing blue energy charges at the barrel before shooting a destructive blast.]
Rat Fangire: "How can you call yourself King if you can't survive this bullet!"
[Alex sees the attack coming and leaps to the side just as the ground where he stood erupts, debris flying everywhere.]
Alex: (thinking to himself) "I've never seen an energy shot like that. Fangires are stronger when they start absorbing human souls. This one must have drained a lot of souls to gain this power."
[The Rat Fangire grins maliciously, raising the gun again to shoot.]
Rat Fangire: (laughing) "Yes, the souls of humans! It's the true power! With this, I won't just defeat you, I'll destroy everyone in my path!"
Alex: "Kiva, come out!"
[Suddenly, the sound of wings flaps from the shadows, and a small bat-like figure swoops down. It has a bright red body with black markings, its yellow eyes glowing in the dark. The bat screeches before diving down and perching on Alex's shoulder.]
Kiva: (in a deep, steady voice) "Are you ready to change, Alex?"
Alex: (nodding) "Ready... and I won't let these evil Fangires take the lives of innocent people!"
[Kiva flaps its wings again, releasing red light that surrounds Alex, biting into his wrist. Armor begins to form, the red and black suit materializing on his body. His eyes glow with a fiery intensity.]
[Powerful music plays, similar to the sound of church organ pipes, as the transformation is completed. Alex, now Kamen Rider Kiva, stands majestically under the moonlight.]
Kiva: (smiling wickedly) "Get ready... my King!"
Rat Fangire: (mocking) "You think transforming will stop me? You're not the true King!"
Kiva (Alex): (raising his fist, ready to fight) "It doesn't matter who I am. What matters is that I'm going to kill you!"
[The Rat Fangire charges again, shooting another energy blast at Kiva, but with speed far surpassing human ability, Alex dodges effortlessly.]
Kiva: "Too slow!"
[Alex charges at the Rat Fangire, his right fist glowing with red energy, and lands a powerful punch, sending the Fangire crashing into a large tree, the sound of splintering wood filling the air.]
Rat Fangire: (roaring in fury) "How dare you!"
[The battle intensifies as the Rat Fangire transforms its gun into an energy sword and charges at Kiva. The two engage in a fierce close-quarters fight, their weapons clashing with sparks flying.]
Kiva: (blocking the sword with his left fist, then spinning around to kick the Fangire in the chest) "This is my power!"
[Kiva's companion, Kiva the bat, flies out of his belt and circles around before landing on his chest, emitting a loud screech.]
Kiva: "Alex! Use your Wake Up power and finish him!"
Kiva (Alex): (nodding) "Got it!"
[Alex leaps into the air, raising his right leg glowing with red light. The Rat Fangire's energy sword is shattered under the immense pressure from the Wake Up power.]
Rat Fangire: (shocked, trying to dodge) "No... I won't surrender!"
Kiva: (delivering the final blow with a Wake Up Kick directly to the Fangire's chest) "This is your end!"
[The impact sends the Rat Fangire flying and its form begins to crack. Shards of blue glass scatter before the entire creature explodes into glass fragments, disappearing into the air.]
[Alex stands, breathing heavily, in the eerie silence that follows.]
Kiva: (returning to perch on his shoulder) "Good job, Alex... But this fight is far from over. Remember that."
Kiva (Alex): (whispering to himself) "Yeah... it's not over. But I won't stop until this world is safe."
[The scene ends with the moonlight shining down, and Kiva disappearing into the shadows of the forest, leaving behind a temporary peace for the night.]
