Derek: "But... Peter, why did he do this? Why did he kill Laura?"

Alex: "Because he wanted power, Derek... He wanted everything Laura had. The power of the Alpha, the power, and... revenge."

[Derek frowned, his body shaking with anger and sorrow.]

Derek: (Shouting) "She's his granddaughter! She trusted him, she loved him! And why did he kill her... For power?"

[Alex nodded.]

Alex: "Yes. Peter believed Laura was too weak to lead the pack. He thought she wasn't ruthless enough to take on the enemy, especially the Argents. But most importantly... It wasn't just power, Derek. He was angry. He was filled with resentment from that fire, the resentment that consumed everything in him."

[Derek clenched his fists so hard that his veins were visible, and his anger was hard to control.]

Derek: (Low but resounding with anger) "He didn't deserve a chance... Not worthy of forgiveness..."

Derek: (Deep voice) "He thinks that being an Alpha will make him get revenge for everything? Nothing can be fixed anymore. Everything is ruined because of him!"

[Scott who was standing behind quietly stepped forward. He looked at Derek with a serious face.]

Scott: (Serious voice) "You are not alone, Derek. You don't have to carry this alone. We will help you. Stop Peter... Not for revenge, but to make it right."

[Derek stared at Scott. His eyes wavered slightly before his determination became stronger. He nodded slightly.]

Derek: (Cold voice) "If it has to end like this, I will be the one to end it. Peter will not hurt anyone again."

Derek: (Cold voice but slightly trembling) "If all this is about Peter, then what about the fire at Hale's house? How did it happen? Who did it?"

[Alex avoided Derek's gaze for a moment. Hesitation was evident on his face. Before taking a deep breath and looking back at Derek directly, his voice was firm but sad.]

Alex: "It was... Kate Arjen. She did it."

[Derek stood there like he had been struck by lightning. His face showed shock and pain, and anger.]

Derek: (Low and harsh voice) "Kate... How could you do that? Did you burn my family?"

Alex: (Nodding) "Kate Arjen seduced you. She approached you to find out the secrets of the Hale family. Then she used that information to plan everything. She was the one who ordered the burning of the Hale house. She didn't care if anyone was innocent. She wanted to eliminate everyone who was related to the werewolves."

Derek: "She... She killed my mother... My family.. Everyone in there..."

Alex: (Trying to comfort her) "Derek, I know it's hard, but you didn't stop there. Kate went after and destroyed what she thought was a threat to humanity. Now she's even more dangerous."

[Scott, who had been listening for a long time, spoke up in a firm tone.]

Scott: "But Derek, revenge won't help. It'll make you like her. You have to find a better way." [Derek turns to look at Scott, his red eyes reflecting his anger.]

Derek: (in a deep voice) "I don't want to be like her, but I'm not going to let you get away with what you've done. Kate has to pay, not just for me, but for my family that you took away."
