Tamer of Cosmic Beasts

"Thank you, Mr Haji, but I only need a hundred thousand cosmic coins and a 100 square feet piece of land in this city."

Haji Tea was startled.

"Excuse me?"

"I know it's an odd request, but you can sell it to me? I will pay in installments."

"No, no, that's not necessary. You can have it for free, as a gift from Abran City."

In truth, Haji Tea would have given all the land to big families or other powerful cosmic tamers for free if they wanted to live in the city and represent it. Unfortunately, no one wanted to live here, some even called it 'The Cursed City."

Akash Tagar nodded happily.

"Thank you, sir!"

"Don't mention it Mr Akash, and don't call me sir, we are friends from now on."

"Umm Mr Haji, can you sell the land on the outer part of the city. I may buy more land in the future and I would prefer for it all to be connected."

After thinking for a while, Haji Tea replied.

"Ohh, I see. Mr Akash, how about I give you a proposal?"

"What kind of proposal, Mr Haji Tea?"

"If you help us in making Abran city into a 2nd tier city, I will give you the entire 11th Zone for free."

"The 11th Zone! Are you sure? Do you have the power to give that much land for free?"

"This city has been abandoned. As I told you before, this city was once of the 1st tier and every 1st tier city has at least 100 zones or more but after Abran's destruction, everybody left. Now, all those zones are empty. Only the 10 zones located in the inner part of the city are occupied and civilized. The remaining 90 zones are in ruins. All the owners of those zones sold their lands, assets and left this city. These lands are worthless now and nobody wants them. If you are interested, you can have it after helping us restore the city."

Akash was silent as he pondered on what he had just heard.

Haji Tea quickly continued.

"A zone's area is 20 square miles or around 52 square kilometers."

Akash couldn't believe what he just heard but his curiosity led him to his reply regardless.

"Mr Haji, I'm getting curious about why you are going to such lengths for a stranger like me?"

The guard was about to speak but he was stopped by Haji Tea.

"Let me tell him."

Haji Tea looked at Akash Tagar with sorrowful eyes.

"My ancestors were from this city. We were one of the 9 ruling families of Abran when it was at its peak. Yet when the beasts attacked, almost my entire family was killed with only a few members surviving, who were then ordered to leave the city so that our family could live on. My Great Grandfather, who was at the Star King realm, died fighting the beasts. That beast's raid was the strongest one our planet has ever seen. It had 3 beasts at the Star Emperor Stage."

Akash didn't know what to say but somehow, he understood the pain of Haji Tea because Akash's entire race was also massacred.

"After that, we relocated our remaining family to another 1st tier city but, alas, our family had already declined in power by then and the new generation of our family could only sing the glories of our past status. When I was born, my family saw hope because I was amongst the geniuses of that city. As I grew older, I took an oath to revive this city and migrate our entire family back to Abran and live where our forefathers lived. I have been here for 20 years now. I forsook my cultivation to establish this city and in all those years you are the only one who willingly came here to register as Abran's Cosmic Tamer."

As Haji Tea finished speaking these final words, tears fell from his eyes.

Akash stood and held the hands of Haji Tea.

"Don't worry Mr Haji, I understand your pain and burden. I will do my best to accomplish your dream."

*Beep*

[ A quest has been issued for the King. Make Abran into a 2nd tier city of this planet.

Reward: A Mythic Weapon. ]

Akash was looking at the screen in shock, he murmured.

"A Mythic Weapon! There were no mythic weapons in the entire Fairy planet. Even the royal family only had a few legendary weapons. The superior races were the only ones that claimed to have mythic weapons."

Akash was still holding the hands of Haji Tea as he looked at him.

"I will accept your proposal, Mr Haji Tea."

Haji Tea couldn't control his emotions after hearing that and he broke into tears.

"Then.. thank you... Mr Akash."

After some time, the 3 of them went to the registration office to register and make a profile for Akash Tagar.

"Mr Tagar, what kind of title would you take or would you like to postpone this part until you think of a title suitable for yourself?"

The title was necessary for a Cosmic Tamer because a tamers' life is full of dangers, revealing their real name could risk their entire family. Enemies can take revenge by harming their dear ones and the title can only be checked by the tamers' affiliated city. Other cities cannot check the tamers' profile.

"I have a title in my mind."

"Okay, tell me then"

"I will use 'Sage Scholar' as my title."

Haji Tea looked curiously at Akash but didn't say anything.

"Here, it's done. Check your profile."

After checking the profile, Akash Tagar turned towards Haji Tea.

"Mr Haji, can you show me the 100 square feet you gave me?"

"Sure, why not. I will give you the land in the 11th zone which will be your property as per our agreement."

Akash Tagar, Haji Tea and the guard came out of the registration office. The guard bade farewell and went to the city gate while the remaining 2 got into a car and drove towards the outer city. The 11th zone was the nearest one to the inner city.

"This is it, Mr Akash, you can choose any of the lands you find suitable."

Akash looked at the destroyed buildings and torn land, he saw a clean piece of land close to the road.

"I will choose this area then."

"Alright, you can come to my home to rest till I finish the paperwork and get workers to build a house for you there."

"Sorry, Mr Haji, but I will stay here. You can go and finish the paperwork, I will stay here till then."

"But…"

"Please, Mr Haji Tea, I have my reasons. Contact me when you are done with the papers."

Haji Tea gave a sigh and reluctantly agreed.

"Alright, I won't force you but my doors are always open to you."

"Thanks, see you soon."

"See you soon, Mr Akash."

As the mayor's car left, Akash Tagar called the system.

"System, I have gotten the land!"

*beep*

[ The King now owns the land, the building process will start. It will take 1 minute to finish. ]

A square formation appeared on the land and was overlapped by a space barrier. After exactly a single minute, a small beautiful hut was built on that land. Its door was made of silver.

*beep*

[ What name does the King want to choose for this headquarter? It would also be the name of the force the King will build. ]

After thinking a for while, Akash declared.

"Ancestor Law Enforcement."

Soon, above the silver door, a golden image of the Ancestor Turtle was drawn and below that image was written 'Ancestor Law Enforcement' in gold.

[ Now that the King has completed the 1st level of the headquarters, his cosmic power will breakthrough to the Star 1 realm. ]

Suddenly, Akash Tagar's body was filled with cosmic powers as if he was exploding from the inside. He closed his eyes and calmed himself. When everything went back to normal, he opened his eyes and felt that he has reached the 1st Moon of the Star 1 realm but the power was so pure that it rivaled the cosmic power of the 3rd Moon of the Star 1 realm.

The only word that came out of Akash's mouth was.

"Amazing."

[ The King has reached the Star 1 stage and now the system will explain the features of the headquarters' 1st level. It consists of two features, the first one is as the living quarters of the King and the second one is as the Cosmic Nest Well, where the King can buy cosmic beasts. ]

Akash was startled yet again.

"Do you mean I can get cosmic beasts from here? I don't have to catch them?"

*beep*

[ The King still has to pay for them with coins. ]

Akash gulped in excitement and opened the main silver door. Inside, he saw two rooms. After entering one, he saw a single bed in that room. It was big and stylish, and he felt like he could adjust the temperature of this room according to his will. He left that room and entered the other one where there was a huge well and inside of it, the entire cosmos could be seen.

*beep*

[ The King will get his 1st beast for free according to the plans of the creator of this system. The King must place his hands on the walls of the well and infuse it with his cosmic power. ]

Akash came closer to the well and felt a tremendous amount of cosmic power, the same power that he felt from The Ancestor Turtle. Then, he did as the system instructed and infused the will with his cosmic power. All the tiny stars twinkled and formed a whirlpool which caused a white and black aura to manifest itself from the well. Soon, a panda cub with a small ponytail on its head came out of the nest well.
