Tales from the Moon: Dragon Legends

The girl looked at the dragon with terrible pain in her heart, Alexandra always imagined that her human parents had died because of some evil dragon; she never imagined that the dragon that cared for her had been the murderer of her parents.

"I will accept my death if you think it is necessary" she repeated the dragon.

"Who would have guessed, Magarai accepting the end of her without opposing or fighting. She is truly sorry" Ssaull thought.

Roman was willing to comply with the dragon's wishes if in truth she was willing to give her life to fix things with him and his niece, the man would not doubt it. Some people like dragons in the place approached when they saw what was happening in the area, there seemed to be a dispute between that dragon that was missing her tail and Roman and the young girl who wore dragon-style armor; The man takes a mallet that he used to prepare fences in the crops, he was going to crush the head of the oceanic dragon and use what was left of the dragon to make a fur coat.

"This is for my family" takes an impulse to raise the mallet and attack.

"She must be the work of the relics that use the girl, those sacred objects must be manipulating her to protect the oceanic dragon"

"Elenai! That is a lack of respect!" Ssaull exclaims.

To say that the relics forced someone to do something against her will was an insult in the culture of the dragons, even Elenai herself must know that very well.

"The relics tell me to accept my actions, they do not approve of revenge, even so, they will accept whatever decision I consider fair"

"Would that be?" questions the natural dragon.

The girl with great pain raises her face from her dragon mother and recognizes the pain and guilt that the dragon experienced, Alexandra thought that perhaps it would have been better to have died that night with her family when she was a baby, so she would be with her parents instead of having to be beaten so hard every time she managed to feel like things were finally working out in her life.

"I am grateful for all the years that you took care of me and protected me as your daughter. Also for having saved me in Shairum when I was waiting for my death, now I want to return the favor" the girl said with pain.

The girl takes the hand of the dragon and hands her the talisman that Magarai had given her, this hinted that Alexandra would no longer need the protection or guidance of the Greater Dragons in her life.

"Mother .. Magarai, you saved my life and sacrificed part of yours so that I am safe. You have crimes that may not find peace, but today I pay off my debt to you, I forgive your life for the death of my parents and I will not hold any desire or resentment for it "she expressed calmly.

All the humans and dragons around were talking about it, a human girl forgiving a dragon for the death of her parents, the way the young woman spoke of the dragon was as if the human was a warrior who paid her debts with a partner of the guild.

"I will not forgive her!" yelled the man behind the girl.

"Alexandra, even if she is not executed, Magarai cannot be here, the Greater Dragons are pests that cannot live with us"

"I guess that includes me" Ssaull scratches his neck assuming the expulsion of him as well.

Some people came to talk to the leader of the natural dragons, they explained how Ssaull and her sister Rophttys have helped many of them in finding safe areas and good dragons to trust, they kindly asked for an exception for the blue dragon.

"Okay, he and his sister are staying with us" people smile at the good news.

Magarai understood that from now on she would be alone, without friends or family, and much less without her daughter. She accepted her punishment, yet her heart was beginning to feel bleak. Rellix's group of hidden soldiers were close enough to hear everything, without the presence of the strongest of Morkhex's warriors, they would have a better chance of attacking and killing the human.

"I appreciate the gesture but" Ssaull places his hand on the ocean dragon's shoulder as he smiles, "Wherever my friend goes, I will go with her to the end, her best friends are never left alone"

This surprised everyone, Ssaull's sister did not think that they were best friends due to their differences and arguments since they met. She undoubtedly did it as an act of solidarity with the oceanic dragon so that she would not be alone.

"You don't have to, you can be with your sister and live in peace with other dragons and humans" the dragon wanted her partner to reconsider staying.

"Don't try to convince me, I made my decision and I won't leave you alone when you need a friend" he replied.

"Thank you Ssaull" she couldn't help but be a little moved by that kind act from her partner.

Magarai observed Alexandra one last time, she also observed her, this perhaps would be the farewell for both of them. At the end of a story of them together as a family, both would very much miss that relationship between, the man was a little disappointed in her niece for forgiving the dragon, her parents deserved justice and her niece did not want to look for her. Elenai herself was the one who guided the two Greater Dragons to the mobile tent of the skeleton dragon and that both dragons could leave, Rophttys planned to accompany them, she could not leave her brother alone, but he asked her to stay, she would be safe with them and Above all, she could take care of Alexandra, she would need a friend and Rophttys could be that friend who would support the poor human. Both dragons embrace and promise to see each other again in a short time, for now, both would have the task of caring for and supporting their friend.

The two dragons leave to leave the home of the natural dragons, they were escorted by some guards to keep an eye on them and make sure they left their lands without tricks or problems. "I brought you new clothes that you can wear and take off that dirty armor" commented the man showing more civilized clothes for a normal person.

"Clothes? What's wrong with the one I'm wearing?" she looks at the clothes her uncle brought.

"It's an armor, you know you don't have to keep wearing it, you won't need to fight battles for your life anymore, now you'll be safe with us" he sits next to her niece. "There will be no more swords or arrows against you. I know that it will not heal your burns or scars, but I promise you that I will do my best to heal all your wounds as well as possible"

"No thanks. Don't get me wrong, I think that for now, I will continue to keep my armor on, I don't know, I feel safer with it for now"

"But it must stink of dried blood and sweat."

"You get used to it over time, and in the worst-case scenario, I just have to wash it on the shore of a beach or lagoon, it's easy," she says.

The terrestrial dragon approaches to grab the girl's arm to cut it and use it as a trophy, the moment she felt her arm being taken, she uses the relic of the oceanic to attack.

The terrestrial dragon did not have time to defend himself, Alexandra manages to tie the chain around his neck and tightens it with an almost divine force that ends up breaking his neck without problems, she had beheaded him.

Another two terrestrial dragons shoot fireballs with no effect on her. Thanks to the sacred relic of the skeletons, she had great strength and great resistance against such elemental attacks.

"It's useless," she walks towards the warriors, "with the sacred relic of the skeletal race, your attacks won't work against me even if I don't have my armor"

The warriors draw their swords and mallets from her to resort to physical damage by weapons, she smiles ready to fight pulling the sword from the corpse. The skeleton dragon that was behind the group shoots arrows at her, Alexandra reacts and uses the body of the oceanic dragon as a shield to prevent the arrows from hurting her.

"Damn, we made a lot of noise and we didn't achieve anything" the dragon repels an attack from the chains. "Retreat guys we must rethink the plan!" she commanded the three dragons that still lived.

"They thought I would be easy to kill for being human" she glared at the dragons. "You don't know what I've been through and I'm not in the mood for any more of that shit from you."

"Niece. Ouch my head"

Roman picks himself up off the ground pulling some planks to the side.

"Man you better put those planks back on. I'm going to get this over with."

Alexandra channels the energies of the holy relics in her palms, the dragons did not understand what the girl was doing, two of them launched themselves against her thinking that they could kill her before she did something.

"All die"

She gives loud applause loaded with those energies and mana causing a great elemental explosion. Elenai along with several people and dragons observe that explosion in alarm. Kurkon is scared worrying that that group of dragons had exceeded with the outbreak.

"Quick that place is where Roman's house is!" Elenai orders running to the site.

Upon arrival, they see only rubble and several pieces of dragons that were not of the natural race. Rophttys is scared that something bad had happened to Alexandra and her uncle, the dragons run to save the two humans who must have been badly injured.

Alexandra breaks a pile of debris on them with her fist, she helps her uncle to get out of it. The girl was somewhat calm, that explosion had released a lot of tension that she had accumulated.

"Who is Kurko?"

Elenai worried when hearing the name of one of her own, she calls the dragon who did not want to show his face. Kurkon was gathering his things to escape, the plan had failed and now he was in danger of being discovered, luckily he knew many secret routes to escape, he had to report the situation to his captain so that he knew that the human still had the relics and achievement kill everyone.

On the way, Magarai looks sad at the night sky, seeing the stars and the full moon, the dragon remembers the night just like that, in how she and her daughter talked about the dreams of the little girl. Now it was Magarai who had a dream, she wanted to go back to the times when she was happy and she did not know it.

"Someday they'll figure it out together," Ssaull says offering food to her friend.

"I can never make it up to him, kill his parents. Nobody forgives an act like that"

"It's Alexandra, I bet she just has to understand why things happened. I promise you that before Alexandra returns to her world, she will call you mom again."

Both dragons stare up at the sky praying that Mother Desthy would give them her help and blessing to be able to fulfill their dreams and protect those that both dragons loved.
