Chapter 375: Territory Of The Overlord
Arriving at what seemed to be the center of the dragon kin's ruined village, Alister stood.
The remnants of what once was a thriving home lay in ruins.
Suddenly, a system notification appeared before him.
⫷『State your name and make your declaration. Visualize your construct and actualize it.』⫸
Alister's mind raced at these words.
"Visualize..." he murmured to himself, his thoughts flashing back to the grand city he had glimpsed in the mindspace—a vision of towering structures, massive fields, strong walls, and majestic halls, homes, a sanctuary worthy of his people.
His golden eyes began to crackle with Ether, the gold in his horns shimmering as well.
With a deep breath, his voice rang out.
"I, Alister Hazenworth, Overlord of dragons, declare this land as mine—my territory, my sanctuary!"
VOOSH~
The moment the words left his lips, the golden Ether surrounding him flared with immense intensity.
The energy surged upward like a beacon, piercing the heavens.
The ground beneath him trembled, and the air seemed to vibrate violently with power as the Ether expanded outward, rippling across the ruined village. Slowly, the surroundings began to shift.
Ruined structures began to shimmer, their broken remnants dissolving as new ones took shape. Majestic towers, homes, roads and strong walls emerged, shining with a golden glow.
The dragon kin stood frozen, their eyes wide as the majestic structures materialized before them.
Elder Nari, her frail hands trembling, stepped forward, her voice quivering softly. "This… This is beyond anything I could have imagined. We have waited so long… prayed so long for salvation. To see our home restored in such grandeur—it's a miracle. Truly, our lord is unlike any other."
Beside her, Sarai clutched her spear tightly, tears brimming in her golden eyes.
"Elder Nari, it's more than a miracle. This is power… true power. I wish my brother were here to see this, to witness the Overlord's greatness." Her voice shook with both sorrow and awe.
Another dragon kin, a younger male, fell to his knees, his hands pressed against the newly restored ground. "We are saved! At last, we are saved! The golden age of the dragons begins anew under our lord's rule!"
Others began to murmur as well.
"Look at the walls, the towers…" a warrior whispered, his claws lightly grazing the pristine quartz surface.
"This is no mere city—it's a sanctuary forged by the Overlord's will!"
"It's incredible."
"The Overlord has restored not just our home but our hope."
Elder Nari turned to Sarai, her wise eyes soft with understanding. She placed a comforting hand on the younger warrior's shoulder.
"Take heart, Sarai. Your brother would be proud to see what we are becoming. Under our lord, we shall never live in fear again."
Sarai nodded as she wiped the tears from her face. "You're right. I will dedicate my strength to protecting this new home. This is the home we've dreamed of, and I will give everything to ensure it remains ours."
Around them, the dragon kin continued to express their awe, some openly weeping, others clutching one another as though grounding themselves in the reality of the moment.
Their Overlord had not only restored their land but had given them a future—a beacon of hope whose radiance rivaled the sun.
Towers reached toward the sky, while lush fields stretched outward, vibrant with life.
Terra adjusted her glasses, her hand trembling slightly as she whispered,
"This is... incredible. Our lord is creating all of this using his Ether... And the speed at which everything is transforming... It's remarkable... It's almost like he's—Him."
Draven folded his arms, his expression softening in awe. "Structures being erected this quickly? Even the Ether in the air feels... alive. Our lord is shaping an entire world before our eyes."
"I'd expect nothing less from him."
Terra glanced at him with a smile as she said, "Of course, it has always been knows to the Archi-Voids that the royal dragons have always been far superior to the rest."
"Our lord is a supreme being, such is to be expected of him."
Alzuring spoke up as well, his voice filled with reverence.
"The energy radiating from him... It's overwhelming. This is what true power looks like. A power worthy of the dragon race's Overlord."
Cinder's crimson eyes held a look of soft admiration, a smile curling on her lips. "This is beyond what I expected. Each stone, every beam of light... It all answers to him. It's as if the land itself bows to our lord's will."
Mar'Garet, unable to contain her excitement, clapped her hands together and let out a maniacal laugh.
"Magnificent! Absolutely magnificent! My darling's power is unrivaled. Who else could achieve this but him? Oh, how I long to see what we can create."
As the transformation continued, Yu'Keto stood a few paces back, his massive silver lips pressed into a thin line. His gaze lingered on the golden Ether that illuminated the scene, its radiance sparking something deep within him.
"This glow... this radiance," he murmured under his breath, his usually steady voice carrying a slight tremor.
His memory flashed vividly to a man with golden eyes and silver hair, a serene, radiant smile gracing his lips.
'Him...'
Yu'Keto's heart tensed as the image lingered. His lips barely moved as he whispered, "Could they truly not be the same person?"
...
As Alister stood at the center of the radiant beam of light, the very ground beneath his feet began to shift. With a sudden, vibrant pulse of golden Ether, a structure—a castle—surged upward from directly below him, phasing through his body and growing upward, forcing everyone nearby to step back instinctively. His generals—Terra, Draven, Alzuring, Cinder, and Mar'Garet—along with Yu'Keto, all moved aside, their eyes widening as the land reshaped itself beneath their gaze. Yu'Keto's massive body shifted slightly, his silver eyes glinting as he kept his distance.
The transformation stretched outward like ripples in a pond, expanding rapidly. Stone turned to polished white quartz, pathways carved themselves into complex designs, and runes inscribed on the floors.
