Chapter 739: Knights Of The Apocalypse [Part 3]

When Vincent, Clark, and Char finally processed what kind of creatures were standing in front of them, a look of horror flashed across their faces.

Aside from shock and fright, the three of them were also confused as to how they got to their current location despite not moving an inch after wearing their eye masks.

"Camazotz, stop scaring them," Thirteen said with disapproval.

"I'm not scaring them," Camazotz was quick to defend himself.

"Your face alone is already scary," Thirteen commented. "Speaking only made it worse. Just look at how terrified they are!"

The Death Bat looked at the teenagers, whose face seemed to have been drained of blood, looking extremely pale.

Originally, a Majin Prince like him wouldn't really care for such weak creatures. However, they were the first members of Thirteen's faction in the Order of the Apocalypse.

That said, he was very curious about them, so he initially planned to scare them a bit, wanting to see if they were tough nuts to crack.

But it seemed that he didn't even have to do anything.

In the presence of three Majins, all of whom were even more powerful than the Monarchs of Pangea, the three felt as if their souls were about to leave their bodies.

"Relax, kiddos," Camazotz said with a wide grin, showing his razor sharp teeth to the three teenagers. He even winked at the young lady, who was closest to him, and spoke in the most harmless voice he could muster.

"Don't worry. I don't bite."

A second later, a plopping sound was heard as Char fainted and collapsed on the ground out of fright.

She might be a strong-willed young lady, but Camazotz's wink was the last nail that hit the coffin, making her eyes roll off their sockets.

Vincent and Clark, whose hearts and minds were also reaching their limits, looked at the unconscious young lady and wondered if they should follow her example. That way, perhaps their suffering would also come to an end.

"Okay. Calm down, all of you." Thirteen sighed. "First, introductions. This mighty Death Bat goes by the name, Camazotz. This beautiful lady here is Paimon, and this gorgeous lady here is Kamrusepa.

"Guys, this is Vincent, and this is Clark. The one who fainted is Char. Make sure to treat them kindly in the future."

After the introductions, Thirteen made a gesture with his hand, signaling his Brain Beetle, Gwenn, who was hidden in the shadows to leave its mark in the consciousness of Vincent, Clark, and Char.

The Brain Beetle obeyed and placed powerful restrictions in their subconscious, preventing them from telling anyone about everything that they saw and heard, starting from the time they arrived at the special pocket dimension within the Order of the Apocalypse.

This special dimension wasn't connected to the main conference room where the other Majin Princes and Majin Kings gathered.

Thirteen deliberately made this arrangement so that the other members of the Order of the Apocalypse wouldn't be able to see his newly conned—errr, convinced subordinates, who would now become part of his power within the organization.

Seeing their terrified reaction was more than enough to tell Zion that they still needed time to accept the things that he presented to them.

Camazotz, Paimon, and Kamrusepa smiled at the trio's reaction because this reaction was very normal for Wanderers, especially when they were facing them the first time.

"Thirteen, I think it will be best if you take them back before they collapse," Kamrusepa said.

Thirteen nodded because he felt that this was indeed the best course of action to take.

Truth be told, he was also looking for this kind of reaction from the three teenagers, wanting to make them understand that they could no longer escape his grasp.

Also, now that they learned Thirteen had this kind of backing, they would know that he wasn't someone that could easily be messed with.

"Okay. The two of you, wear your eye masks," Thirteen said as he crouched down to cover Char's eyes with an eye mask. "Don't peek, okay? If you do, I'll leave you guys here, so you can chat with my buddies."

Vincent and Clark, who thought of secretly peeking to see how they were transported, immediately tossed their idea aside.

There was a saying, "What you don't know won't hurt you," and it was especially true for their current situation.

As such, they listened to Thirteen's order and no longer tried to do anything unnecessary.

A few seconds later, they once again heard Thirteen's clapping sound.

"Okay. You can now take off your eye masks."

Vincent and Clark hurriedly took off the eyemask and immediately felt relief when they saw the familiar room, where they were lured into by Zion.

Char, who seemed to have also regained her senses after hearing Thirteen's clap, stirred and removed the eye mask from her face.

She then glanced around to make sure that the scary Death Bat was no longer around before she hastily propped herself up to stand.

Her legs still felt weak and a bit shaky. But, ashamed of fainting earlier, she did her best to stand despite the difficulty.

Thirteen gave the three teenagers a glance before placing his hands behind his back. Experience more on empire

"What happened earlier was just an initiation of sorts," Thirteen answered. "I'm sure you guys have heard I fought against a Majin Prince, an Archon, and a Majin King.

"Truth be told, I was only able to overcome them with the help of my secret organization. And now, you guys are part of that secret organization. I'm sure you already know by now that none of you can speak a word of what you just experienced.

"Doing so will put you in great danger since the contract you signed had a special power in it, binding your souls to adhere to the conditions written in the contract.

"C-Can we back out?" Char, who was still horrified from her hair-raising experience, felt that she wasn't ready to see the Death Bat again.

"No," Thirteen replied. "There's no take backs. Do you want some milk and cookies? They're free after you join my secret organization."

The three teenagers looked at Zion as if he was a little devil in disguise.

Clearly, none of them were in the mood to eat any milk and cookies. Their only wish was to wake up from this nightmare, which they knew would haunt them even in their waking hours.
