Chapter 7: Chapter 7: We're Going to Bristol...
A month had passed since that memorable night, and in that time, Alaric had made exercise a daily habit.
Every morning and night, he jogged through the streets, ran over town roofs, and practiced jumping drills, squats, lunges, push-ups, planks, stretching, and yoga-like exercises for balance.
He spent extra time on his chakra control exercises too. Tree-climbing technique, water walking, martial arts training, and even simulated situational combat in his mind.
His exercises were intense, for a five-year-old. However, using the Healing Palm Jutsu to whatever aches in his body proved to be useful as it accelerates the natural healing abilities to an absurd rate. 'Well not the same as Tsunade's Jutsus but this has been very helpful for me.'
Indeed it was helpful for him. He was exercising in a way a five-year-old should never do. If not for the Healing Palm Jutsu, he would've stunted his body from developing the optimal results for progress.
Edward and his parents often watched him doing these "strange" positions and activities.
His parents never questioned him; after all, he had been sending them money every day.
Edward on the other hand... once tried to copy him, but his body ached too much, and now he just shakes his head at Alaric's seemingly unnecessary routines.
It also came to a point where his parents finally asked about his weapon pouch, Alaric only replied with a grin, "I have to protect myself, can't have you crying over my dead-ass."
And his money? Well, it was okay.

'Alright, fine... it's not great, but I haven't seen any bandits in a while. And I keep giving 3 reales every day... it's like I'm the adult in this house,' he thought.
After finishing his morning exercise, Alaric returned to the Kenway Household and sat down for breakfast with his parents.
It was a quiet meal.
No one talked much, and Alaric didn't mind the silence.
Then suddenly...
"We're moving to Bristol."
*Pffft* Alaric, who was drinking water, spat it out in shock. He looked at his father and said, "Bristol... Bristol, England?"
"Aye," Leonard nodded and then looked to Eleanor before addressing Alaric again. "We had a chat with yer uncle Bernard and aunt Linette, hearin' 'bout their days in Bristol."
"Your aunt mentioned life looked more vibrant there than here," Eleanor added softly, smiling. "We can't have our precious son be the one making a living in this household."
"Sure..." Alaric smiled and nodded. In his mind, 'I could be rich again there.'
Alaric internally sighed, 'If only I could rob everyone in this town, I would've done so... too bad.'
Alaric made a personal pact with himself.
Ever since the bandit incident, he had decided that he would only steal or kill from people proven to be guilty by his modern standards and beliefs.
The grief of the Kenway Household over the stolen goods had made an impact on him, so he kept giving 3 Reales every single day for their meals.
Fortunately, it fits their budget even when including Edward, and that's four mouths to feed. Two meals a day too.
He limited to giving 3 Reales per day since giving more would arouse suspicion from his parents.
Procuring 3 Reales a day as a kid who helped anyone here and there was no easy feat, any more than that, it would close to impossible. 'Though I would've been okay with giving them 4 or 5 Reales per day...'
Anyways... speaking of mouths to feed, two figures from Bristol arrived within the month: his uncle and aunt, Bernard and Linette Kenway.
Their voices grew louder as they approached the house. When the door opened, a man who looked much like his father and a woman with a kind smile stepped inside.
"Alaric, lad, ye done with them strange antics o' yers outside?" Bernard asked.
Alaric chuckled and replied simply, "Yes."
Bernard smiled warmly, then turned to Leonard. "We'll have to get ready today, the ship will sail at dusk."
Leonard nodded at both Eleanor and Alaric. "We'll be ready by then."
Bernard grinned. "Remember, we gotta get on this one. Ain't no other ships sailing to England for the next month."
"Alright mate," Leonard replied, immediately rising to gather his belongings.
As everyone prepared to leave, Alaric finished his meal while quietly watching them busy themselves with packing.
'Damn... it's not like we own many things for them to get so busy,' he thought.
Not wanting to miss an opportunity, he stayed seated and rested his elbow on the table, he then opened his System.
'Okay, let's search some specific items...' he thought, considering what to buy.
'Boots.'
He typed in the search, but nothing loaded.
'Huh? Hmm... There must be something wrong with the system today.'
He tried again.
'Okay, how about shoes.'
Still nothing.
'Foot-wear?'
After a moment, a list appeared:
[Open-Toed Sandals (Black) – 20 R]
[Open-Toed Sandals (Blue) – 20 R]
[Open-Toed Sandals (Green) – 20 R]
[...]
Alaric stared at the list in disbelief. 'Did no one wear anything other than Open-Toed Sandals in the anime? What a freak-show,' he thought.
He mentally clicked [Open-Toed Sandals (Black) – 20 R].
"I don't know how to style these, but these sandals are better than my current ones," he grumbled, and immediately switched to the new pair. 'And I was right,' he mused.
Next, he proceeded to buy [Anbu Pants (Black) – 20 R].
[-40 R]
[Current Balance: 5,174 R]
The pants came with an extra strap. 'This is so that I can strap my kunai pouch, right?' he thought.
He changed into the new pants right there, not to worry... his parents were busy packing, and he was wearing his briefs.
(They don't have boxers in this period, I don't even think they even have briefs, I just can't bare write about someone not having briefs.)
He then strapped his kunai pouch to his leg.
"Good job," Alaric congratulated himself, folding his old pants and setting them aside.

Later that day, Alaric wandered through the town square one last time, admiring the busy streets.
He approached a specific chubby man mending his goods and said, "Hey Nathaniel."
"Ah, mornin' to ya 'Laric!" Nathaniel replied with a smile. "Got some wares in the storeroom need sortin'. Mind watchin' the stall fer a bit?"
"Sure," Alaric answered.
'Can't hurt to earn a few extra reales'
