Chapter 1: Chapter 1: The Awakening of the Divine System
The world had changed ten years ago. What started as a normal morning quickly turned into chaos as dimensional doors opened all over the world. From those gates, nightmarish monsters invaded the cities, sowing destruction and fear. Humanity teetered on the brink of collapse until the phenomenon of "Awakening" occurred.
Some humans, seemingly at random, acquired incredible abilities that allowed them to counterattack. These individuals became known as the Awakened Ones, the protectors of a fractured world. Over the years, the Awakening process was categorized into ranks, from F, the weakest, to S, the elite. Legends spoke of a mythical SS rank, but no one had ever seen one in person.
In this new and dangerous era, dungeons began to appear that offered unimaginable treasures and rewards. But to enter these dark labyrinths was a gamble to death. Only the bravest (or the most desperate) entered them in the hope of getting fortune or fame.
Max was neither brave nor lucky.
Max was sitting in a small apartment on the outskirts of New York City. The room was sparsely furnished, with only a worn-out sofa, a small coffee table full of empty ramen cups and a broken TV that flickered from time to time. His Woke rank, F, teased him every time he looked at his Status Screen.
"Thirty million dollars," he muttered, looking at the payment due notice on his phone. His father had left him with a mountain of gambling debts before disappearing, leaving Max with the burden.
- How am I supposed to pay for this? - Max clenched his fists in frustration. I had tried everything. Odd jobs barely scratched the surface of his debt, and his hunter rank made him practically useless in the dungeons.
His skill, Object Creation, was as disappointing as it looked. To create something, I needed to know all the intricate details about it: its materials, composition and design. Even then, he would need the raw materials. Making a basic iron sword, for example, required iron ore, coal, and a precise knowledge of blacksmithing techniques.
"What kind of useless power is this?"Max complained, looking at his status screen, which was floating in front of him.
Name: Max
Rank: F
Skill: Creation of objects
Strength: 10
Dexterity: 8
Intelligence: 12
Resistance: 9
Lucky: 3
The "Lucky: 3" seemed like a personal insult to me.
With a deep sigh, she pushed the screen away and grabbed her coat. He had planned to join a raid on a low-level dungeon the next day, hoping to earn enough to keep the debt collectors at bay. It wasn't much, but it was his only option.
When he got up, a strange feeling came over him. His status screen reappeared without anyone asking, blinking erratically.
"What...?"
Suddenly, a new window opened. Unlike the blue interface we already knew, this one was black with gold text that seemed to glow.
Initializing the system of creation of divine objects...
Full synchronization.
Welcome back, Max.
Your journey starts now.
Max blinked, his heart pounding hard in his chest. "What is this?"
Before he could react, a flood of information flooded his mind. It was as if an ancient, supernatural voice was whispering secrets directly into his consciousness. Images of mythical weapons, enchanted armor and tools of unimaginable power appeared before his eyes.
The black screen changed and showed a single message:
Mission Unlocked: First Creation
Create an object of divine quality using the system. Reward: Unlock advanced features.
Max's hands trembled as he read the words. Divine quality? That was impossible. He didn't even know how to make a basic steel dagger without materials.
But then he noticed something new in the interface:
Materialization ability unlocked:
The system will provide the basic materials for the initial creations. Conceptual knowledge is now integrated automatically.
- Does that mean I don't have to know everything? - he murmured, with a ray of hope in his chest.
Without hesitation, Max selected the mission. A second message appeared:
Select object to create:
Weapon armor tool
His instincts were screaming at him to choose "Weapon." If I wanted to survive the dungeon tomorrow, I needed something reliable. As he made his choice, the system responded.
Generating blueprint for the Divine Sword...
The gleaming silhouette of a sword appeared before him, ethereal and magnificent. The blade seemed to buzz with latent energy and its edges shone with an unearthly radiance.
Do you want to continue?
Max swallowed hard and his heart was pounding. "Yes," he whispered.
In an instant, materials materialized before him: a piece of celestial mineral, radiant crystals, and glowing threads of energy. His hands moved instinctively, guided by the system. The process was perfect, almost magical, as the leaf began to take shape.
When he was complete, the weapon floated before him, radiating power.
Created item: Divine Sword of the Dawn
Attack Power: 500 Special ability: Sunlit Slash (unleashes a searing wave of light that deals massive damage to enemies).
Max looked at the gun in amazement. I couldn't believe my eyes. The impossible had just become a reality.
"This... This changes everything."
With the Divine Sword in his hand, Max felt a surge of confidence. For the first time in years, the crushing weight of despair was eased.
Unbeknownst to him, the activation of the system had triggered a series of events. Forces beyond his comprehension had become aware of his Awakening.
